You question the Captain??? :confused3 pirate: I would take the Captain's word over IMDB - whoever that is. :sad2:
I only questioned it because it didn't make sense and I was trying to figure out what it meant.

You sure about that? IMDB says the line is "I happen to have no dress in my cabin".

I haven't seen the movie but heres a link..

Could be wrong...I'm not sure where they get THEIR information...I read the sign (the first version) was trying to figure out what it meant and went out looking for the context of the quote...hmmm :confused3

Okay , I am glad you asked ....I have heard numerous people and websites say that the line is "I happen to have no Dress in my Cabin " But this my friend would not make sense at all and I will tell why ..

In COTBP (curse of the Black Pearl) Capt. Barbossa dawns Elizabeth with a dress he would like her to wear to dinner ...This happens to be on the Black Pearl which is Captains Jacks ship ...(remember that ) ...When they go to Drop Jack back off at that little spit of land (the island they marooned him on the first time) they make Elizabeth walk the plank ...before they do they make her take the dress off that Barbossa gave to her .....Therfore Captain Barbossa most likely taking it back to the Captains Cabin ...Now at the end of the COTBP of course Captain Jack gets the Pearl back and I would assume nobody emptied the ship ...Now to DMC ...In Tortuga , Elizabeth approaches CJS to join his crew , she is wear Boys pirate garb , there leading to the CJS quote of " Elizabeth , these clothes do not flatter you at all , I happen to have an OLD dress in my Cabin ...

Hope this clears it up

I could've sworn Jack said something to the affect of "You should wear a dress or nothing and I just so happen to have no dress back in my cabin." basically meaning he wanted her wearing nothing. :confused3

It is - I Happen to have "an" ole (old) Dress in my Cabin ...its kinda slured (could be the RUM )

he is not of course pronouncing the words correctly but say NO dress would not make sense at all ...

Nope, I agree with the Captain - I held the speaker up to my ear, and I think it says "an old dress" - and it makes more sense - at least to me. Why would he say "I happen to have no dress in my cabin"?

I would think he would say something like "and I don't happen to have that dress in my cabin".

Maybe Johnny Depp will post and tell us for sure - why not, if all those other celebreties are online . . . :rotfl2:

I know I should probably not care and/or notice but I saw this in someone's signature on the main board:

May 12, 2007 14 Night Repositioning Cruise (Cat. 2) / May 26, 2007 11 Night Med (Roy Disney Suite) / Sept. 08, 2007 7 Night Western (Walt Disney & Roy Disney Suites) / Sept. 15, 2007 7 Night Eastern (Walt Disney & Roy Disney Suites) / Sept. 29, 2007 7 Night Eastern (Walt Disney & Roy Disney Suites) / Dec. 06, 2007 3 Night Wonder (Walt Disney Suite) / March 08, 2008 7 Night Western (Walt Disney Suite)

July 02, 2005 Mexican Riviera (Roy Disney Suite) / Jan. 26, 2006 3 Night Disney Wonder (Cat. 3) / June 1, 2006 3 Night Disney Wonder (Cat. 2) / Sept. 07, 2006 10 Night Southern Caribbean (Cat. 2)

I guess I am just a poor girl because I cannot even imagine how much money all of these cruises would cost. :faint:  The thought of that much money makes my stomach actually flip. :sad2:

No think of how many DVC points they could have purchased spending that much money.....

Even if it was 2 people each time..... were talking $100,000 or so...

so that's like what 1150 pts..... Such decadence escapes me.... It might be nice to do once...twice is just showing off... I'm not like that...I'd rather get a lower category and bring other family members with me...

Or think of how many "Wish" trips could have been granted with that money.
So it's not that my stomach is flipping...it's violently ill.....

(ok BRB 15 minutes...gotta pick up DD at GS)

Maybe a large family?
Maybe a top level Dis Exec?
Maybe someone who just brags a lot?

I have seen several posters on the boards who have obviously stayed in cat 1, 2, or 3 several times but they don't wave it around like that.

My biggest question would be...."If you have that much money, why can't you think of somewhere else to travel?"

It makes my head spin too. :rotfl:

Well heck I care. I was contemplating that March 8th 7 day Western in 2008 for DD's bday. I guess it's true you need to contact room control early! Or perhaps they are a CM and have pre-booking capability. Ah well, it makes me realize that I may need to make a decision about 2008 before we cruise. :confused3
