I had to spend the weekend doing stuff with my kids but they were driving us so crazy they had to go to bed early tonight so we could get a break! ;)

Where are the pictures? That could be 3 posts! :lmao:

That Cinderella bride costume looks so pretty online. DD is not quite old enough for the princess dresses just yet. :) Maybe next year..... :goodvibes

It is really beautiful and it was such a good deal on Thursday. It was $34, down from $89.

I need to transfer the pictures from my camera, I don't think I took any of butterfly princess. Not my favorite costume. But dang she was cute as Ariel, she did not even need a wig. We just brushed her hair.

Have you been watching the TY Thread? What do you think?

I am just going to test this image....

Well,

48 hours off the DIS is like a lifetime on our thread.

Football game, Halloween party, work, TOT, neighborhood bonfire and pumpkin contest . . . life gets in the way sometimes. So pardon me while I play catch up again.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

My Browns finally won their first home game - of course I stayed home for TOT.

Catch up with you all when I catch up - I am sure I've missed a lot.

I have had chicken pox three times! I have never had them strong enough to become immune from them. Now we are worried about me getting shingles. Mom had shingle several years ago and I wasn't able to help her with treatment, the doc was worried about me getting it too. And I have been told too old for the chicken pox vaccine and the shingles vaccine is just going through approval now. After the second time at 21, the doctor said the next chance I had to test and see if I was immune by having contact with chicken pox, now I can't take the chance of being around kids with it. If I have kids, my future DH will have be the sick nurse, :rolleyes1 .

My DD's case is listed in local medical directories. She got the chicken pox from my DH's late brother who got the shingles from chemotherapy. our dr told us there was no way dd got chicken pox from him but the oncologist verified what I thought. she was not in any regular preschool program because of his decreased immune system. she had not been exposed to anyone who had chicken pox, only her uncle. it was so awful because at the same time, she got lice for dh's other brothers children. treating her with the lice shampoo with chicken pox all over her scalp and body was so awful. the lice shampoo has a lot of alcohol in it to kill the nits.

DS got the vacine since he has asthma. from what I understand, he will probably still get the chicken pox. the school just sent a letter home stating that it is going around and the vacine is only good for 10 to 15 years.

You mean people don't eat red beet eggs everywhere???? They are a picnic staple around here!

We always had pickled eggs (the red beet kind) every Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, birthday party (:cake:you get the idea) at my grandmother's house. She took the beets out before pickling the eggs with the juice in the jar. We called them just "pickled eggs" and it was many years later that I found out that not all pickled eggs are red and made with beet juice.

I think this will be the last one... :)

We could easily clear out a section. If we all just stand around in a big, LOUD group talking Spanx, bananas and coconuts (among numerous other things) and have John wear his yellow suit :rotfl: , others will surely want to find another spot! :lmao:

While I do believe it would be amusing to see a man running down to the beach in a big banana suit, I must admit that I need to draw the line somewhere. I may not have much need for dignity, but, that suit would probably be too hot, and impair my blazing speed running down to the family beach.

BTW Brack,

At the Halloween party last night we were talking to some friends (their son went to Kindergarten with Sophia) and found out they had been on a Disney cruise. Guess which one? The one where the Magic caught on fire! They were your shipmates.

Another DIS degree for separation.

Of course when we told people we were going on our 7th DCL cruise, we got the blank stares and uncomfortable silence . . . Then we tried to talk about the "friends" we met on the internet - some more blank stares.

Not to self.

Do not discuss multiple DCL cruises or internet friends other than at the DIS boards. Your neighbors think you are locko.

soccer is finally over :cheer2: :cheer2: DS's team won the "President's Cup". they defeated a 1st place team. it went into 2 ten minute overtime quarters tied at 1. we scored in the 1st OT and held them throughout the rest. the kids were so excited. the parent's from the other team were so harsh to their kids. they have been together for a long time while we are a new team this year. they kept telling their kids that they weren't playing hard enough and needed to pick up the pace of the game. on kid fell down three times during the game. he had been on my DH's team for several years and was always falling down crying. he went down during the OT & all his father said was "get up & get off the field now!!!" I'm afraid that his evening will not be very good. there was also a mother standing behind me who had the worst voice I have ever heard. she kept screaming and it sounded like someone was runnign their finger nails over the chalkboard.

everyone at the office thinks I am very rich and very silly. they think that because we have been to WDW each year and on 2 wonder cruises that 1)we should have had enough disney for anyones lifetime 2)must be rich because that is the only way anyone can keep going to WDW. I keep trying to expalin to them that we all make choices about what we do with our time off and money. we joined DVC because we love the hospitality at Dis and we like to go back just like they like to visit Kings Island (local amusement) park. my kids just prefer the amusement park that is lots better and lots farther away. Yup,

In a couple of weeks we will all be getting ours. Better safe than sorry. We provide them at work free to everyone, and I just wish more would take advantage of the opportunity.
