I have some great news. DH finally found the perfect pirate costume he has been looking for. :yay:

He still has to buy a few extra accessories like maybe some nice boots but he thinks he has his main costume piece found and it only cost him $16.95 plus shipping. :)

Here is a picture. What do you think?

:lmao: :rotfl2: Can't wait to see this! The choice of boots will definately make or break the outfit! :lmao: :rotfl2:

You are right. The shoes can make or break an outfit. He has not made his final decision yet but he is leaning towards these.

Your DH never looks at this thread does he?

you guys have me thinking I should get the Disney Visa. I usually use a Northwest Airlines card but it's like that commercial with David Spade, I want to use the miles and they say NO. Actually they say sure, but it will cost you 50k miles per ticket instead of 25k. Totally bugs me. I've started using my Amex now just cuz the points are more usable. But a lot of my vendors still don't take Amex, even though it's btb (argh), so I need some kind of visa or mc. Questions for those who have this card:

1. Can you use the points to pay for your DCL cruise, or just for your stateroom account?

2. Do they ever offer bonuses for signing up, or do I just go ahead and get one now to start racking up the points? ;)

thanks for the help!

DW is visiting her Mom in NC. I am so caught up that I am reading and posting on other threads! I haven't done that in weeks. :surfweb:

has anyone signed on for Davy Jones yet? There is a DJ costume on dd.com for $50, with 20% off discount on top of that:

All I can say is that you are much more secure in your manhood than I am!

is anyone near Williamsberg, VA or Charlottesville VA? We'll be in those two places the week of Thanksgiving... I am so jealous of you East coasters who get together all the time it seems! Maybe I'll just drive down to... Kansas? Missouri? I think that's the closest anyone is to us here in MN.

Remember how there was a glaring lack of midwesterners in the Dis geeks map? I think it's cuz people here just don't get the concept. I don't know why, but all our friends think we're totally nuts to go on a Disney cruise. Personally, I think it's insane not to go on one, LOL. But I don't know if we ever would have done it if my parents, who live in VA, hadn't arranged it last year. Now we're hooked.

Our friends just go to "the cabin" usually for vacation, or visit rellies. I need a vacation *after* I do either of those!

1. I think you can but I have always used mine to pay for our rooms at WDW because I have paid for the cruise before I got the rewards card.

2. Just Do It! Even though it is not a great amount of a reward it is a Disney Reward!
:thumbsup2

We have friends in Norfolk that we visit but Thanksgiving week our DS and DDIL are visiting from Texas.

If you have never been to Williamsburg you'll love it. One of my favorite seafood restaurants is there. Captain George's is the name.

So close ... every other year recently we've been in Williamsburg for Thanksgiving; this is not a Williamsburg year. My side of the family (the ones who are doing the cruise) will meet there when it's our year for Thanksgiving. (Since family is so spread out, we alternate Christmas and Tgiving with my side and DH's side. My side gets Christmas this year... and the cruise is our Christmas visit.)

I have visited Williamsburg but live nowhere near :)

I got DH the CJS costume on DisneyShopping today, and although he won't hold a candle to our Captain, it is an easy no-brainer costume and it was on sale too :)
