Can anyone who had a 12:00 Escape ceremony tell me how the timing went for your ceremony to photos to cake cutting and what time the guests were taken back to wherever they were going?

For example - the ceremony is at 12:00, but do we have cake, guest photos, our photos, etc.. what comes first? How long do photos normally take?

I need this for my invitations as I asked in another thread. I might wind up stealing Carrie's (lurkyloo) timeline as a guideline but just wondering if anyone else roughly had the times things actually unfolded. I have NO idea how long pictures generally taken (Randy Chapman) and what order everything is done in. Thanks! :goodvibes

I would love to know also!

I'm a bit rusty on the specifics, but here's how our escape wedding went:

11/11:30: Randy arrived to take pics of me getting ready, of the set-up downstairs, etc.
noon: ceremony (wasn't very long)
12:20/12:30: began taking "formal" family pics; i.e., his whole family with me, just his siblings, just my siblings and me, all of our parents with us. etc. (to expedite this, I brought a list with everyone's names and what shots I wanted and handed it to Randy so he could just read it off and corral everyone)
*starting to get fuzzy; maybe 1 pm?*: at some point we took a pause from taking pics to do our first dance.
*fuzzier, fuzzier, maybe 1:30, 1:45?*: once we finished the formal pics, we cut the cake (for pictures only, see below)
2 pm: starting walking from the wedding gazebo to the Boardwalk, with Randy taking pictures along the way
done by 2:30, when the limo picked us up from at the Boardwalk and took us to DTD, where everyone was waiting for us. If I remember, our ressies were at 2:30, 2:45. Yes, it was a little late to eat lunch, but we warned everyone in advance so they ate a late breakfast. :-) Oh, and we didn't eat the cake at the ceremony site. We boxed it up and ate it after our luncheon.

HTH!

Thanks purplegirl! If I might ask, when did you start getting ready in the morning. My non-morning people bridesmaids are wondering what time they will have to be awake and moving on my wedding day :rolleyes2:

The hair/make-up person came at 10 am, so not too early. Of course, that was just for me (I didn't have any attendants).
