11 month window-Do you need to call day by day?

We are going to be put on the wait list for a Boardwalk resale. After reading about all of the difficulty some have had reserving rooms here, is it necessary to reserve a room on a day by day basis even at the 11 month window? Or would it be okay to just wait a reserve the whole trip at one time and would I still be pretty much guaranteed a room if that approach was used as long as I did it right around the 11 month mark? Thanks!

Unless you are wanting a GV, the 11 month priority still works well without the need for daily calls. For a stay of a week or 2- calling at 10 1/2 months should NOT create any hardship at all. Enjoy!

A standard View may also require day by day calling, depending on the season.

"From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs", Karl Marx, pretty sick, huh?

Unless you want a grand villa you are generally safe making a ressie 11 months from day of departure from the DVC resort rather than making them day by day. I have never had a problem making them 10 months out even for Easter time. Some reported that there may have been some problems for standard view at BWV (only 20% of rooms and go fairly quickly) for early December this year. That is probably a quirk for this year. First half of December has the lowest point requirements, the Christmas events are up and running, and DVC annual meetings are at that tiem, making it a very popular DVC member time. Added this year is that it is the Walt Disney 100th Birthday Celebration (beginning October but the birthday itself is Dec 5) and that this site, DIS, is having its convention at that time. In other words a lot of factors are making the first part of December likely the most popular DVC member time this year.t
