11 month window at Disney's Hilton Head Resort

If you own at Disney's Hilton Head resort and schedule a summer week vacation (2 bedroom) in the 11 month window, is there any chance of not getting it? I'm considering purchasing a resale and want to be sure that I can get a summer week (2 bedroom) every year. Also, is there more than one pool on site (not counting the pool at the beach house)?

Should be no problem at any DVC resort for a 2 bedroom and I thought HHI had more 2 bedrooms than any other size unit. When I was last there in Nov, 1998, there was only one pool at the resort plus the one at the Beach House that you know about.

We've been going to HH each summer since it opened and have never had a problem when calling at 11 months.

We have already reserved a GV for next summer.

There are 76 2BR villas (all dedicated), 21 1BR Villas/21 Studios (all lock-offs) and 5 GV's at the resort.

There is one pool- centrally located- at the resort, plus the pool at the Beach House (about a mile away). The resort does provide shuttle transport to/from the Beach House between 10:00am and 4:00pm.

In theory, yes, you could be blocked at the 11-month window if a lot of other owners called MS before you. I don't think that's ever happened, but it could .

What will be harder and harder to come by will be the high season at HH at the 11-month window. As SSR sells out and other DVC resorts open up, there will be more and more people trying to get that limited number of rooms.

So, if you want to stay at HH during high season, go for that resale!!!

But people who buy into SSR and other new resorts will not be able to book HH at the 11-month window. Am I missing something?

Only that I spaced out when I typed that. I meant to say the SEVEN month window will be harder to get.

We had no problem and got Aug first week at 7 months out window 2 bedroom

I just returned from a 2 bedroom at HH last week. I did not book this until June and had no problem with availability. I told guest services what I wanted and she gave me the available days. Just book at exactly 11 months from check out. That should guarantee your reservation.

From week 24 through 32 or 33 (mid June to later Aug); you should reserve at 11 months out. I would think 4th of July or a GV for summer, you'd need to call day by day. If you must have a specific reservation, I'd call day by day as well.

Just booked 3rd week of July 2005 at 11 month window - 2 bedroom...no problem
