Lorna, sorry for your troubles. It sounds like your friend in the nursing home is blessed to have you. I hope things go gently for her.

Joanna, Mutt and others - I'm not a cruise expert so you can ignore this but I've heard and read a lot of negative feedback from people about round trips out of San Juan. You may want to research that a little bit before you commit. Some people are fine with them but a lot of others complain. It seems that the locals are given discounts to fill the ships (as DCL does with Floridians) so the passengers tend to be heavily Puerto Rican and a lot is done in Spanish on the ship. I lived in Puerto Rico for several years and found the people to be incredibly vibrant and energetic. But I guess that is viewed differently (even negatively) by others. Only you know what you'd be comfortable with. Please forgive if I've stepped on any toes.

Quick question for the Nanas staying at Port Radisson...

How does the shuttle work going between PC and the hotel? Does the hotel charge for parking while we are on the cruise?

We are thinking of changing our night before the cruise plans, so we can save some cash on parking...

Looks like you received your answer to this...but it made me think! How do we get back? Hop on the shuttle going back?? Never asked. Good question to check on when I confirm our time!
