Joshua (DS) went to the Penn State game last night-his first-he loved it!! We were never a college foot ball family--may become one. The anouncer said PSU had a good team and the only team on the line up they may have trouble with is OSU?? :confused3 Shell?? Is this your team??? If so...can you talk to them and let Joshua's team win...:lmao: :worship:

All this talk about making it to the airport is freaking me out again...our flight leaves at 1145.....I think grab a muffin and run is a good idea!!! Do you have to put your luggage out the night before disembarking??? or can you haul it out with you the morning of???

I guess on Saturday's OSU is my team, but come Sundays the only team I worry about is Bad Hat Harry, my Fantasy Football team, who is in for a tough game today!

As far as your flight, heck you have LOTS of time. We have never gone to the regular breakfast (I don't believe), we just hit Topsiders as soon as it opens and then we can be one of the first in line to get off the ship.

You can take your luggage with you, but I think I've been told it's more of a pain because then you have to take it thru inspection whereas when you put it out the night before that's already done for you.

And let's be honest ... would it really be all that bad if we got stuck in Florida one more day instead of being in the northern cold???

To the person who posted that Dec 6th would be crazy at the MAGIC KINGDOM, because they are taping the Christmas parade for tv...Are you absoultely sure about that??? We are planning to go after we get off the boat and when I called Disney to get tickets for the special Christmas event they told me it wasnt being held that day...Just curious as we would have to rethink the day there if it would be that extra crowded..thanks Jen

:confused3 Not sure what special ticket you are talking about :confused3 I am not the one that talked about it but I have been there for the taping of the Christmas Parade and it was sooooooooooooo crazy we left!!!!! Regis and Kelly do it. No special ticket is needed and they are not sure what day, do to the weather. So they pick 3 or 4 days and get it in one of the days. Hope this helps.:thumbsup2

Linda...did you get to the port late? We are probably in the first 100-200people to get off the ship. DH goes up to the buffet and brings back muffins and then we are off. If you went to the late breakfast, then you were not in a hurry to get off IAm I correct?

We did not get to port late - actually early, in fact. Both the repo cruise and the 5 night double dip had the same issue that I know of -only 2 customs lines working, so the line to get off the ship was VERY slow. We weren't in any hurry, but when we went to breakfast at 8, The early breakfast people were waiting to disembark and the line went all the way back to the back of Parrot Cay and, according to the servers, it had been that way for a while.

I do not know what it's been like since, but I, personally, would want to be prepared for the worst case scenario. I don't want to end my vacation stressing over missing my flight!

Hey Nanas    I can't believe were 2 months out. We are getting excited. I am ordering our shirts next week.:yay: we have had a a good weekend so far. I did not even turn the computer on yesterday. I took the girls to Build a Bear and they got an out fit for their animals. They each had $9.00 in coupons:banana:. Also went to the cider mill. Love the hot doughnuts!!!

Today we went to church. Now I am doing:laundy: I am getting ready to go get the girls. They are at a fire department event with John. I will try to check back later.

Jeff and Mina-Glad to hear Elizabeth does not have a broken finger after all.

Wendy-Wow those pictures are amazing. Glad you did not have too much damage. Very cool lampost.

Mina-How was camping?

Better get going. I am going to get a bike ride in before I go get DDs.

Just stopping in to take a break while getting ready for a late afternoon wedding. These folks are getting married outside in the botanical gardens so I sure hope the sun keeps shining. We had some rain earlier today but right now it's looking good.

Lorna, this is the wedding of two firefighters. :) The young man is the son of DH's best buddy. He actually met his future wife while working as a firefighter. My how the world has changed when you can go to a wedding between two firefighters! :lovestruc

Steph, let me know if ya'll come to New Orleans wee can have a mini meet!!! We live in Metairie, right near the Kenner line.
You may want to rethink MK the day we get back, thats the day they film the Xmas Parade there for TV and it is madhouse.

Morning Nanas had a GREAT time last night, which I am sure was obvious to some of you by all my texting, no not drunk texting there is no liquor allowed in Tiger Stadium but I was on a LSU high!!!

We did the Magic Kingdom last year and it was a mistake:scared: . It was so crowded and hot. Main Street was closed off and we had to walk through the back of the house to get to Tomorrowland. We tried to eat at Pecos Bill's and they had closed the street down for the parade and had to wait over 20 minutes just to cross. I will never ever go the MK when they are filming that parade again.

Hey Christine...Want to come with me to the Magic Kingdom to see the Christmas Parade they film for television. :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

At the risk of getting myself in trouble, after this year's Mexican Riviera Cruise, I'd rather be on the ship with all New Yorkers than Californians. I'm just sayin... :rotfl:

Probably about 4 years ago, before we discovered cruising, we unwittingly went to the MK when they were filming the parade. I don't remember it as being so bad...but just remember us racing to the castle area to see Raven.

Of course you would...NEW YORK, NEW YORK A CITY SO NICE THEY NAMED IT TWICE :thumbsup2

Well with all the flight talk....now I dont feel so bad having a 12:30 flight. I thought that I was pushing it.....but I guess we should be ok.....just have to call the limo service and swith the times around. :thumbsup2

Sorry to cause so much confusion about the flights. And going to MK on Dec 6th.

How can we find out for sure what day they are filming?

About the flights, did you all book your flight through Disney? We didn't, we booked ours through Southwest. So, if we did miss the Southwest flight for some unknown reason, we'd be out more money to book another the next day coming home, right?

All this parade talk is new to me? Who do they film it for? Where can you go see it on TV? Will they close the park?
