Mjasp,
I just sent you an email about excursions but it closed out everything when I clicked send. Please elt me know if it didnt go through.

Has anyone dont thr TULLUM tour. We rented a van last time and went to the other ruins but Rick and I said if we ever got back to Mexico we would go to Tullum. So here we are almost one year later and going again. Is is worth the $200 it will cost?

Is it ok to leave the boys on board. My parents will only get off the ship for an hour of so to walk around then back on board but how is it for them to be there for a few hours with out us there.

Morning everyone! I'm trying to get our Dolphin Swim booked but I'm a little confused about the All-Aboard time for Cozumel on Dec. 3rd. Is it 6:30pm real time or do we lose an hour making it 5:30pm Cozumel time? I called Dolphin Discovery and the lady told me it would be 5:30 their time not 6:30.....HELP! I don't want to book it at 3:30pm if we have to be back to the ship in 2 hours...3 hours would be fine though if it actually is 6:30pm!

We have always turned our clocks back or forward to what ever the island time is. I am hoping we still will, because we are scheduled for the dolphin encounter at 3:30.

Hi all

Wednesday she has nearly five hours (that's right - from 4 p.m to 8:45 p.m.) of dance. She will do another solo this year so she has a private lesson. She also has joined a performance group that hopes to dance at WDW in June - they're waiting to hear if they get accepted. Thursday night is soccer practice and Saturday mornings are soccer games. Not to be outdone, Emily has gymnastics in the afternoon on Monday and then dance on Monday evening).

Fourth grade is VERY different than third grade too. Lizzie comes home from school, does her homework, doesn't need/want help and we move on. I feel like I should be more involved but I think it's part of what the school wants them to do to start to become more independent. Just makes me nervous.

I'm still feeling sluggish and getting frustrated with the time it's taking to recover but am trying to take it easy so that by cruise time I'll be 100 percent ready to have fun!

Have a great evening all.

Jeff

Madison is on a dance preformance team this year too. She actually made the competition team, but we decided against this year. It is a very big financial and time commitment. That is one reason I am trying to get a job. I can start saving to pay for dance.(and our next cruise:) ) I think she may get on the competition team next year. Elizabeth and Madison should have lots to talk about.

Madison is in 4th grade too. She also comes home and pretty much does her home work herself.

We did Tulum a few years back when we were staying in the Myan Riviera. It was really close by. I know if you go it is quite a ways away. If you guys like the ruins, you will enjoy this. It is right on the ocean. Very pretty beach there too. We have never been to the other ruins, but I have heard that Tulum is not as big.

I was there many years ago as a part of a 3-week tour of Mexico. Tulum is quite pretty because it is right on the ocean, but IMHO it's not as impressive as some of the other Mayan ruins. I guess it depends on how interested you are in Mayan history...

This depends on your comfort level. Some parents wouldn't dream of getting off the ship without their kids and some feel comfortable going ashore for a while without the kids.

You can ask this question on the main cruise forum and get quite a heated discussion started....

Hi! I seem to get on-line later and later - but just checking in to catch up.

Cable and internet came back late last night; our neighbors got their power back this afternoon too! We were going to have neighbors/friends come over to charge cell phones, use the shower, store things in the freezer, etc. as they thought it would take until Friday to fix. We got hit harder than expected by the remnants of Ike. Glad to be back to normal. Thinking of those in Texas where it will take much longer.

Hi Greg! You seem to come on-line late. Sorry I missed your reply last night.

Good night everyone!

I'm back. Have a question. Has anyone used two way radios on the cruise? Thinking of trying it this time. Emily actually won a set at the back to school picnic last week. Have not tried them yet.

Is there a certain type that works on the ship - or any type of 2-way radio with multiple channels will work? I believe what we have is a Motorola version - not sure of the specific type.

Anyone with info - let us know.

Thanks!

We use 2 way radios and they work great! Get good ones.

Ahhh, I saved you the top of the page...I only like top of the page when it is a surprise.

Do a search on the DISboards main cruise forum

We used two-way radios last year on the Wonder and plan on taking them again this year. Ours are Motorolas and they worked pretty well. There were a few times that we were out of range.

Well I have our dolphin wwim booked    ! We decided to go with the 12:00pm time slot.

Just finished up with work about 30 minutes ago and going to bed now. Check in with you all in the morning!!
