Hi Nanas.

Hey Lorna - we were thinking about the glass bottom boat in key west too but the Passporter gave it HORRIBLE reviews so now I think we're just going to walk around KW a bit and then head back to the ship for some quiet.

Thanks for the info Jeff. I am not sure what we are going to do. John and I went on a glass bottom boat ride in Freeport. It was just ok, but I think the kids would have loved it. They really want to go. John and I will have to talk about it.

You aren't going to the same dolphin swim as me, correct?

I didn't book it yet, have to sit with the DH and talk about it...DH goes with the flow, ask him what islands he is going to and he'll say, hmmm...the western I think LOL Then he says, I don't care where I go, wherever it is it is...meanwhile I plan every freakin' thing down to the cabin I stay in, what I want to eat in Palo etc. I guess opposites attract.

We are going to Chankanaab Park, but we are doing the dolphin encounter, not the swim.

Looks like we're doing pic of the day.

Here's me giving my valedictorian address at the class of '85 Forest Ranger gradulations!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hmmmm ... maybe during the Ladies Meet on Monday the guys could get together and have a Guys Spa Day complete with pedis :rotfl2: . Yeah, I'm envisioning Mikey, Billy, Mutt, Greg, Jeff, Trey, Steve, BobbyNY, Bob, etc. all sitting next to each other in white robes and chatting about the stuff in People magazine :rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: with cigars hanging out of their mouths!!!!! that would make a nice "picture of the day"....:lmao:

Lisarae:

I'm not a huge sports fan....however, I have to pick "THE BEARS" since I was born and raised...I do occasionally watch them...that said....I dont watch much sports at all.....however, if I get a chance to go a game, football or baseball, I enjoy going and watching the games...:confused3 sorry cant add alot here about sports.

Well it finally stopped raining....it was a steady rain all day today. Now when we dry up we will have to cut the lawn since it grew about 2 feet since we started getting all this yukky rain.

Carmine's is a great place for dinner :) My family's favorite.
My DD loves to shop, so bring $$$ if she likes to shop.

Thanks!
Where is Carmine's I'm looking for good family dinner suggestions since I only know business dinner or great places that Mina and i go when we get away to the city for a weekend.

Okay, I know we are the new guys in town, but I neeeeed to hear back from you guys! I am really looking forward to meeting you all so that we can write and post back and forth like you all do.

We are watching Tampa Bay and Atlanta play today. I grew up in Tampa, so I have to root for them. I'm guessing that some of you New Yorkers like football, and maybe the folks from Pittsburgh and New Orleans. How about the Michigan folks? Ohio? Georgia? Illinois? Indiana? So, tell me who do you like? College counts too.

We saw the Wonder as we drove over the bridge to church today. It always makes us smile to see it, and we look at each other and say, "Disney Boat!!!" in a very child-like voice.

:cheer2:

Hi Lisa. I'm not much of a pro football fan - I'll watch if there's nothing else going on and then of course in the playoffs. It's sort of sacreligious here in Pittsburgh, but that's me. I do LOVE college sports. College basketball is my favorite sport. I'm a Pitt fan (and grad) and also have tix to Pitt football - but they are victory challenged these days. Still it's fun to go to the games.

We are hockey fans here. John and the kids love baseball too. John watches football, but not his favorite sport. Today he watched the Lions lose again:sad2:

That would be a site:lmao: :lmao:

I just saw the top for me. :cool1: :cool1:

Very cool. We had a great time seeing the ship yesterday. We left pa at 70 degrees and we ended up in VA at 102 degrees. i ended up getting really sick. The blurry pic at night is the magic. You just need to use your imagination.

Believe of not, there are tix available for wicked when we are there. I guess I'd better snatch them up.

Hey Nanas:banana:  -It is still pouring here. I think we are getting what is left of Ike now. It is also very windy. A tree fell across the street from us. I am hoping for some sun tomorrow.:goodvibes Had a good time with our friends this afternoon.

Shell-I don't wear contacts, so no advice from me.

Kathy-What is that web site with the good web cam to watch the ships go out? It is not Two Palms, it was another. I was looking for it today and I can't find it. I thought it was Jetty Park, but that web cam is down.

Dawn-We like the Key West Aquarium too. We have been 2 times. We took the kids there in 2004.

Great pictures everyone. I especailly liked the one of Greg giving his valedictorian address. Very impressive:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl:

Well Madi just got home. We are going to play the Wii. TTYL

jd99, Jeff? I guess? - I always rooted for Pittsburgh in the 70's, especially before Tampa had a team. I hated Dallas, and those were the two big teams at the time. Then I had a boyfriend that moved from Pittsburgh to Tampa in 9th grade, so I rooted for Pittsburgh with him. I still like them a lot.

Dixielady, Denise - Being from Tampa, and going to the games in the 80's, Chicago always murdered us, so I have a special hatred for them. Nothing against Chicago itself though, and DH was there at Great Lakes Naval Center in the 80's. I've never been there, but have always wanted to visit.

Firemans Wife, Lorna - We used to have hockey in Orlando, Solar Bears, which were really fun games to go to, but I guess that league folded. I went to a USA vs. USSR game back in the Cold War days, and that was awesome! Maybe we'll try a Tampa Bay Lightning game one of these days.

I used to go to cruise cal.com to see how many ships were in port on the days we were in Key West, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, etc., but I guess there is a charge for that now. Does anyone know of another way to find out that information? On cruise critic, someone told me to check port times.com, but that site has gone down.

In case you're wondering why I want to know, it just has a bearing on how busy it's going to be in port. There's nothing you can do about it, but it helps me plan activities.

Thanks,
Lisa
