We've never sailed DCL before.....we're at the very bottom of the totem pole.

I don't think I can even begin to make reservations until sometime the middle of next month after everything is already booked!!

Oh whoops....switch back to my other computer and forgot to log out my wife?!!!

Don't worry greg. They hold slots for each time that people can make reservations. And even if you don't get everything you want, when you get on the ship just go to Rockin Bar D for Palo, Spa for spa and excursion desk for excursions and you'll have no problem. We added or changed almost everything we had when we got on the ship in August.

grrrrrrrrrrr.......... I wanted brunch at Palos on Monday and I couldn't get it. Gonna have to settle for Sunday before Key west.....fudge.

Bummer Mutt. When I logged in there were lots of choices. Sorry to hear that! But don't despair. Try this: at the 75 day mark, go on and see if you can score it since they save some spots for people reserving then. And if that fails, just go to Rockin Bar D and change it. It has never been a problem for us.

Sounds like some of you have had success getting Palo brunch once on board?
We got locked out of the system for about 30 minutes last night, and then there were no brunch times when the nursery is open. So, we are hoping we can get an reservation once on the ship for one of the at sea days.
We were able to make flounders reservations for the brunch hours on both sea days just in case it does work out.

Hubby has been watching the weather channel this morning.
Looks like Gustav was downgraded over night.

When we sailed the first 2 times our youngest was still in Flounders and the people at the nursery made time for her to come in when we had a palo brunch reservation. In other words, they didn't have space, but they made space so that we wouldn't miss palo. The folks at Flounders are really the best.

Hi all ... to answer some questions ...

Wendy is at the hospital now. She called to tell me, as Cheri said, that Starbucks was closed and, I quote directly now, "HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO LIVE IN THESE CONDITIONS?!"

When she got to work, there were about 400 police cars there, so again she's at least with brave company and certainly not alone. The hospital did get most of the patients on ventilators and life support out yesterday. Wendy will be working in ICU which is on the 2nd floor with few windows, which is great (seniority rocks!).

As Terri said, the storm did weaken but is increasing in strength and may hit land tomorrow morning. Depends on if it continues at its current speed.

Wendy: Hang in there-friends I work with were talking-3 yrs ago, after Katrina, we wanted to come to New Orleans to volunteer in the hospitals but were unable to ...we are discussing this option again if the need arises. Like everyone else here on the board-back to the weather channel and sending and prayers your way.

Got my niece's ressies set-had to call Disney-they didn't have her as a CC member for some reason ..we read a poor report about the horses so we are not doing that this year......
