It sounds like you all have fun when you cruise. My DH and I have met some great people (and now friends) on our past cruises. So, we are meeting around 2:30 in the Promenade Lounge. We would like to participate, so we will bring some sort of gift from Central Florida (my DH and I work at Kennedy Space Center. Maybe we will bring something from there)
Anyway, what type of matching shirts is everyone wearing? On the last Disney cruise we went on, someone on the DIS board recommended going to Home Depot and getting a Disney Paint color sample (They are in the shape of Mickey’s head), put our name on it, and pin it to our shirts. It was very easy to recognize who was in our group and it was a hoot walking around the ship with that pinned to our shirts. So many people stopped us and asked where we got them.


Look, now we have dancing bananas!

See Lisa, these banana's are very addictive....
When Shell sends you the curise list at the very end is the picture of the shirts.....her husband Bill (cruisemutt) designed them....of course they are nana related.....but he did a fantastic job on them.....we had matching shirts in 06 and people at the terminal kept asking if it was a family reunion....we would say, yes, but we are meeting these people for the first time. It was great......

Hi to the Bananaheads,

Even though we still don't know what that means (someone is going to have to fill us in.)

We are cruising to celebrate our 15th anniversary. We got married in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, so we try to alternate with a trip to the mountains, and a cruise every other year. We went on the NCL Jewel last year, so this was supposed to be mountains year, but I just really feel like another cruise.


We are Lisa, 42 (43 in October) and Steve, 45. We are engineers out at Kennedy Space Center. We have no human children, but we have the greatest dog in the world, Samson. He is a 12 year old mix of Rottweiler, Lab, Chow, something (this is all a guess since he was found by some friends.) We have two nieces and a nephew that we love to spend time with. I wish we could afford to bring them on a cruise with us (not necessarily our anniversary cruise.) They have been a couple of times with their grandparents. They are grown now, 19, 19, and 22, but we still get together often, and try to help with college expenses, and any guidance or wisdom that we might be able to share.

We don't hate kids or anything like that, but we do like the fact that Disney has great actitivities for everyone on board, so that no one feels like they missed out on their part of their vacation.

What are some of the excursions you guys are doing in the ports? We have done parasailing with Sebago in Key West, and they are awesome. We have gone snorkeling with Eagle Ray Divers in Cozumel, and they are also a great company. We have done the Sting Ray City in Grand Cayman, and it is definitely something to do. In my opinion, I would always use independent local companies for excursions. You get a much better deal, and a much smaller group with more guides per person.

You all seem to know each other, but if you feel like telling us a little about yourselves, that would be really cool.

You guys actually have a lot in common with us. My DW (Lisa) and I are also parents of furry children (2 black labs and 3 cats), and Shell & Mutt are also parents of furry children. We also typically do Gatlinburg one year and a cruise the next. But, this year we met up with some of this bunch in Gatlinburg for the 4th of July, so we are doing the cruise!

I look forward to getting to know you guys better, and know more about you. You will find that JollyG and I are both aviation/space fanatics, so I can't wait to talk with you about what you do at the Cape. I do have an SIL who works for Boeing's Shuttle division in California.

As far as excursions, we haven't really discussed it too much yet. Guess since we are supposed to make our ressies next week, we need to decide!

My Husband and Son are really into Rocketry So they will want to talk to you They will be up their in Oct. with a group from hear. They go tour the back with a guy named Gary I don't know his last name. I will get it when they get home.

Yes we are west of West palm beach. Have you been here? if so we are just west of SR7 on Okeechobee Blvd.

Not sure abouth the launch would love to.

Greg....I am feeling much better today. heading out to the show and then dinner....going to see tropical thunder with ben stiller.....I generally like his movies so I am hoping this one will be good.

Teri: glad to hear that your dad is doing better. That is great news.

Lisarae: I know that I'm going to do the dolphin swim in cozumel and I think were going to do the rumpoint/beach/stingray thing in grand cayman....and the trolley ride in the keys to the southern most point. so we get to book all these next sunday and looking forward to it.

Also the t-shirts this year will be white. the picture will be on the back. But we are still going to look fantastic!!!!
I actually have two children they are grown adults. My daughter is in the military and stationed in Colorado Springs....my son lives about 10 minutes away from me...works as a grapic artist for a company and just bought his own townhome in february along with his girlfriend. I also just found out that I will be grandma (first time) in April, I am very excited about this...so I guess I will have to pick up a few things here and there on the islands to bring home for the baby.....gee thats going to be hard to do!!!!
I also have a fur baby....8 year old doberman....Jack.....he is my big baby....
