It's so funny because I was so against flying Southwest but with all the crazy stuff the other airlines are doing Southwest seems to be the safest bet. I am even flying them in Nov and will definitely consider them for flying to NY since our family lives in West Babylon.

Why are you against SWA? I LOVE THAT AIRLINE! They load the planes and are off the ground so quickly.

Just dropping by to say good night everyone.
catch you in the morning before we head into town to visit a bit with family and pick up our mail.

Kathy

Hello Nana's!!

Just got back from my cousin's private fire works show. :cool1: :cool1:

Every year he spends a small fortune and hires a professional fireworks company to come in and do a show for his mother's (my aunts) birthday which was today.

This year he bought his mom a Mercedes SL600 Roadster..........gee....I took my mom out to dinner for her birthday. :rolleyes1

Its pretty nice though because they have a big dinner and always sing happy birthday to not only my aunt, but to Janel and I also, so it sort of feels like its for us too! (except I don't get the Mercedes!!) :sad2:

Good night everyone!

WooHoo!!!! Am I'm the first to post this morning?????? Thats never happended before...

HAPPY 4TH to everyone.......Hope everyone has a safe and fun day.

I just had to add about SWA.....flew them for the first time in October when I went to Disney and really liked them. However, I didnt want to wait for their fairs to come out so booked on Airtran......anyway....my story...one of the girls I work with is going to Disney the week before us....so Thanksgiving week she will be there. I told her that SWA has their fairs now posted. So I went on the site and got her a quote!!!! She has 3 kids 11-8-3 so a total of 5 people.......are you ready for this.....$2,070.50.....so I went on Airtran and got a quote for them......$1,070.50......can you believe a $1,000.00 difference......so they are booking airtran.

Well everyone have a great holiday.....

:scared: It's not that hot:rolleyes1 It was only 113 driving home last night.

The hottest it's ever been since I am here is 122 and yes we did try to cook an egg on the sidewalk and it didn't work. However, ice cubes melt instantly.

122 degrees!! I don't think I could even breath in that kind of heat!!

Morning Denise!

Things are kinda slow around here today huh?

Happy Birthday Jeff!!

party: party: :bday: party: party:

Hope you guys are having a great time at the beach.

When you said your sitting on the balcony of your condo.....do you own a condo or timeshare there?

Post some pictures....if you get a chance....I'm not sure where Bethany Beach is?

The neighbor's dog "visited" again  but this time only "licked" Lucy--no puncture wounds or visit to the vet this time :cheer2: and he had his electric fence collar on this time too :sad2:
Happy 4th every nana :grouphug:

Hi Okie,

Glad the neighbors dog was a little friendlier this time.

The shock collar reminded me of the time a buddy of mine got one for his dog to train him not to bark. (he had a big black lab).

Anyway, this shock collar came with a remote control with a button you could push to give the dog a shock every time you wanted him to avoid a certain behavior.

My buddy got the collar out of the package and inserted the batteries and said "I wonder how big of a shock this inflicts?" so he put it around his neck and hit the button...:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I had to help pick him up off the ground!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Seems the collar had intensity settings...1-10 and he had it set to 10!! :lmao:

Good morning everyone,

Thanks Greg!! The big 4-9 . Eek Nope we don't own here. We found this place by an internet search about 12 years ago when friends of ours and us were looking for a place to go for a long weekend. Long story short, one of our friends bought an ocean front place here the next year and we come down every other year or so and rent a place and have agreat time hanging out.

Here's the fun (and depressing for me) part. When our friends bought their 2 bedroom plus den condo it went for about 175K. We never even considered it as money was tighter then. I could shoot myself. Similar units are now selling for 750 K. :headache:

believe it or not I haven't taken a photo yet! But will post something when we return. Bethany is just north of Ocean City Maryland and just south of Rehobeth Beach Delaware. It's an incredibly family friendly, somewhat upscale beach resort. There is a huge complex here (Sea Colony) where we stay that has beachfront and tennis village villas/condos. And then there are beach houses up and down the coast as well.

We just came back from the pool as it was too hot mid day for the beach. A nice breeze usually rolls in around 3 and people leave the beach around 4 to get ready for their evening activities. We plan to head down and hang out until sunset, then dinner, then fireworks that we watch from the beach around 9:30. Don't know if we'l make it though as the girls got up at 5:50 a.m. today!!!!!
