Gosh, still nobody around here today.

It is just way too quiet lately. Everyone should be home from work and had dinner by now on the east coast and the mid part of the country.

So why arnt they posting.

Took my mother to the airport this morning for a flight to Las Vegas...she won't be back until Saturday.

Our weather man is crazy here.

He just said the high for tomorrow is 52, unless we dont get that warm.

What kinda forecast is that??

we only got to 43 today and they said we would get to 50. So I never believe them anyway. I just wonder if they know how dumb they sound sometimes

have you looked up the meets threads for your other cruises yet? Did you post on them?

I'll bet the people are nice but they'll never be as great and fun as the nanaheads

I love all the people I have met on our other cruises but they cant hold a candle to our group. Of course you only met a few of them, but they are all great.

Hi Kathy,

I've posted a couple of time on the others cruise thread, but they are pretty dead.

It looks like they each get a single post about once a week.

I can't find a thread for our NCL sailing yet? (might have to start one?)

It's looking more and more like we're going to be doing the 9 day southern cruise with NCL on March 26 2010.

The timing works out perfect for our spring break and the kids will only miss about 2-3 days of school.

I spoke with a sells rep. at NCL today about information on the ship we'll be sailing....they said the ship has 4 water slides and a kids pool along with a very large kids club.

I still really want to sail on the new Oasis of the Seas, but for the price they want I think we'll wait until the "novelty" has worn off and the prices come down.

Our 9 day cruise with NCL is about $4000 less then the 7 day Oasis was with a smaller cabin!

I imagine I'll be calling RCCL and Disney this week to "cut them loose" so to speak!

I am going to keep my DCL ressie. I booked 2 rooms but put me in one room and Mitch in the other and we paid only $125 deposit per room. I'm going to keep it for the new ships when they come out in 2011

Good Morning Nana's!

This is a first...I got up took Koda outside...it's a beautiful morning out...came in got ready for the day...woke up the girls got them ready...made them breakfast...turned on the radio...first thing I here is every thing is cancelled for a snow day Kierra gets very excited since she loves the snow and snow storms(not sure where she gets that too)...she runs to the window and then looks at me and say Mom the sun is out She looks so confused. So I made some calls and found out they closed all schools because we are supose to have snow this morning...so now I am scared What kind of weather is headed our way...it's got to be bad to close everything. Normally we have a lot of snow before the close school...

I'm glad though because now Kierra is home with me and Alicia until Monday since they have Thursday & Friday off anyway

Every winter we ask ourselves why we don't move somewhere warmer Last year we actually came really close to moving to a warmer climate but them Kierra got ill...so we decided it's best to stay put!

It just started lightly snowing about 5 minutes ago but the wind seems to be picking up a lot...it was so calm and beautiful out 2 hours ago...



The Forcast doesn't sound too bad...

Hi all
It is FREEEEEEEEEEZING here. Just came in and my car thermometer says 7 degrees. Yippee. Supposed to get snow later and then be even colder tomorrow and Friday. When I go to Minneapolis on Monday it will be like a heat wave (i think the high on Monday there is 22).

Just trying to get some work done. And now I am heading over to the YMCA for a meeting with the aquatics director. I am the parent president of the summer swim team this year and sign ups start in a couple of weeks. I don't know what I have gotten myself into but am hoping for a lot of help from other parents or i may not be able to keep up. The Y gives us very little support. They like the concept of having a swim team but really don't give the team any support. Lizzie swims with a different club all fall and winter and then goes back to the Y in the summer. I almost wish she just stayed with the other club so I wouldn't have gotten myself into this!

Good morning everyone,

I hope Dawn hasnt lost power or something? It is unusual for her to stay away so long. I may have to call her later today if she doesnt post and hopefully I will get through.

NCIS was quite good and different than their normal show.
I cant remember where it was at the half way point, but here are some highlights from the ending.

Ducky turns himself in to the foreign embassy, the woman presses murder charges against him.
Gibbs finds a old film of a man who tortured people in Afghanistan. He tortured the young man Ducky killed.
Ok in the end Gibbs finds the old man who did the torturing and puts him in a room with Ducky and has the young woman who stabbed Ducky and the ambassador listen to them.

They argue and Ducky admits he let the young man die, rather than be tortured over and over again. He had to fix him up between being tortured. So it was a mercy killing.

However the man who did the torturing didnt want any information from the victum. He only tortured him to BREAK Duckys spirit. Ducky gave the people hope for better things which made it harder to scare them into giving him information during the war. So he wanted Ducky to crack. Instead he was sent to another place to be a doctor.

So Ducky was forgiven by the womans whose brother died and by the ambassador and his country.
The last scene shows Ducky going to work, the woman doctor is there with Jimmy.

Jimmy tired to welcome the doc back but he is sad and asks him to leave and take the day off. He does reluctantly.

The woman doctor is comforting Ducky as he breaks down and cries as the last scenes. very sad ending. But you assume the tears are because he had the guilt built up inside all these years and can now let it go.

Hope that covers it for you ok.
It will repeat soon, I'm sure. It was one of their best episodes for being a different theme and personal insight into a quiet characters past. I enjoyed it.

Hope you dont loose power.
Do you have a fireplace to keep you warm if you loose power??

Is your husband far away? i hope he doesnt have to drive too far in the snow storm!!
