It is late and I am about to turn in for the night.

It is 33 right now and still dropping fast. I am so ready for summer to be here. Of course if I am in Florida during the summer I will complain about the heat There is just NO pleasing me I guess.

Good morning!

Been awake since 5am.

Brayden came running down the hall into Janel and I's bedroom screaming.

I think he must of had a bad dream.....he's never done that before?

I went back into his room 10 minutes later to check on him and he was still awake and crying.

I asked him if he'd like me to crawl in bed next to him and he said yes, so I laid down with him until he fell back to sleep.

Of course now I'm wide awake because I'm suppose to be at the Dr. office in two hours.

Good Morning everyone

Greg I hope everything goes well today.

Kathy The rain was a bad thing for me...it's just made the snow too heavy...and a cold front was moving in so I couldn't wait for Glen to clear the driveway with the snowblower...I can't use it I find it to hard on my back So I got had to go outside in the pouring rain and shovel for almost 3 hours It is sunny here today but cold and very very windy.

I am so sorry the rain made it worse for you. It helped when we got it.

From what I saw on the news the U.S. is in for some terrible cold today and tomorrow due to an artic blast thats coming from Canada, but not from your area. So I cant blame you Darn it

Howdy nanaheads that are in the artic blast. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys. i cant even imagine what it would be like to be in that bitter cold. I saw them crack an egg into a pan today and it froze solid in about 5 minutes. And its going to get colder yet!
Stay in if you can and stay warm.

I worry that you will loose power and not have heat. I hope you all have fireplaces or wood stoves to keep warm or a shelter near by if needed.

Yup I am to far away...however when you move back to Florida I can blame all our fall storms on you

That's cold...it gets cold here but never really too cold thanks to the gulf stream...

I am in for a long boring day today.
It is foggy outside and cold.
Greg has a business meeting / dinner tonight with his boss , so he will be late getting home. Probably 8 or 9 tonight. I hate that due to road conditions after dark here. we have miles of twisted curves through the hills that are not lighted and full of semi's and deer jumping across the highway.

Not great driving conditions for after dark, the speed is 65 and people do 80!!


i have a vehicle but nowhere to go close by and of course i have my pups to think about so I am sorta stuck here during the day too. I dont really mind that too much. I do have nice neighbors to say hello to when I am out with the pups. They are out with their dogs too.

The cinnamon rolls are all gone, so I could bake something i guess, but not sure what to cook?

Ok I am ready to move to Florida myself now. You still have one of your houses for sale Kathy?

You know I really could work from anywhere as most of my clients are "virtual" in that I don't really see them in person but for once or twice a year. It's tempting but I think the kids would be very unhappy so I'm stuck with this crap.

Right now it's 9 degrees with 10 or 20 degree below zero windchill. We also got a big blast of snow yesterday and last night. It took Mina nearly four hours to drive what normally takes 30 minutes with no traffic and 50-60 in bad traffic. She and Emily held up well though. I would have been ripping out the rest of what little hair I have.

Lizzie had a 2 hour delay this morning and I'm betting they will again tomorrow (if not a cancellation) because it is going to be below zero overnight and into tomorrow and have dangerous windchills.

I've been working pretty hard this week and still can't catch up. I have two or three things that I really need to get to but I keep getting interrupted with other stuff. Then on Monday, I am flying to Minnesota (because I'm not cold enough) for a new business pitch that is going to essentially take 2 days away from me for work.

Oh well enough good news from me.


On a high note, Pitt is still number one!

Jeff, we already sold our rental house. Just have our home left and its not for sale. Guess your just going to be stuck in the cold for another winter

But if anybody wants to buy a cheap new home in Florida, this is the year to do it.
Builders even have new houses for less than it cost them to build them. I guy can walk in and pretty much name his deal if he is a qualified buyer.
We know of people who walked into a house that is brand new, sold for 360,000 2 years aog, told the builder to fence in the yard, give them all upgraded appliance and better carpet and they would buy it and they did. They paid 160.000

I wish we could buy up a bunch of the smaller 3 bedroom homes for rentals because some of them are around 100,000 now. I can rent them for more than the payment even with taxes and insurance included.

Hope you can warm up Jeff. I am up to 35 right now.

I made an apple cake today. They are nice and lower in calories too. They dont need frosting or anything. Just slightly warmed in the microwave and it is delicious. You can add ice cream or whipped cream if you want, but it doesnt need it.

I love the smell, even if I cant eat it.

I'm sure if you and Mina really wanted to go you would since the kids are still young. I tell Mitch, if we want to do it this is the year because Samantha enters HS in September, and unless we 'had' to move I wouldn't want to uproot her.

Hello I'm here!

Well I'm not sure if I got good news or bad?

I went in to have them check one mole and they found 6 that they were concerned about.

They just took pictures and told me to come back in a month and they'd compare the photos to see if any had changed?

I'm flying to Las Vegas next week for a few days and I'll get a second opinion while I'm there.

So for the time being....I guess I'm in limbo?!
