Just got back from the vet, boy what a fiasco that was
Greg was late so we were back in the room with the vet when he arrived and the girls were just fine until they saw the nasal spray in the vets hand.
Pixie started showing her teeth and growling and backing away from the vet which we expected and eventually we got her muzzled after 10 minutes of squirming and bolting like crazy.
Finally he got the stuff up her nose and she went nuts. Then we got her muzzle off and she backed behind the chair by me and was ok.
Then Minnie always obeys and just sits there when she goes to the vet, of course for the
first time since we got her, she didnt want the nasal spray either. That dog felt like she was greased up she was squirming out of our hands so easily even with the leash on.
Greg eventually got her head in his hands and calmed her for a minute and covered her eyes so she wouldnt see the spray coming but she bolted again and he just got a little in her nose.
So the Vet went out and got the same stuff in a shot form.
Now when Pixie saw him pulling Minnies skin up for the shot she started growling and lunging towards the vet to protect minnie and I blocked her with my body.
Finally it was all done, oh they tried to muzzle Minnie but her muzzle is so short she got it right off again.
After 30 minutes both dogs were vacinated

Now they have always gone in together, so this wasnt new to either dog.
Boy I was never so glad to get out of there in my life.
I actually felt badly for the dogs because I knew they were just scared so I stopped by McDonlads on the way home and got them each 2 $1 burgers for a treat. They settled right down then and slept all the way home.
In 6 months we get to do it all over again
