well I hope your having a great Friday everyone.

Anybody have plans for the weekend?

Tomorrow I will be gone during the day, going to Silverton to take care of some business and if my daughter is home i may get to see her for a bit too.

So I wont be posting tomorrow until evening.

No news around here today. Just cold, wet and yucky weather.

Hi Lorna and Joanna, great to see a couple of nanaheads checking in today.

We finally have some sun this afternoon and might just reach 50. But the wind makes it feel a lot cooler. Maybe I can thaw out a bit this afternoon

I just finished making a chocolate cream pie. It is cooling so I can refrigerate it soon to finish setting up. I didnt have my best receipe with me so I found one that was as close as I could find. So I hope it sets up right and tastes good.


Lorna, grab a few rays for me and Joanna as we are still cold.

I really could use a cruise about now They keep offering great deals, I am hoping by fall they will be even more great deals!! Not just for Florida residents but ev eryone. Almost every TA is really offering great perks.

Not for DCL but the other day I saw a cruise thaat was really cheap, on Holland america I think, and the TA offered half off deposits, half off all excursions booked through the crusie line and $500.00 room credit, plus a coupon for something free on the ship? Cant remember what it was but it was a $50 value. This was a 7 day cruise.

Hopefully they will just keep on giving great deals while the economy is so bad and they cant fill the ships.

Greetings all. We are just back from Disney on Ice. It was a great show and the kids really liked it. Emily waved at characters for two solid hours. Tomorrow I am heading to the Pitt-UConn game at noon then a swim meet for Lizzie in the afternoon.

Sorry Kathy for leaving you alone.

I took half a day yesterday to go to the school and work at the annual Basket Auction. This is like an expensive version of a Chinese Auction/Tricky Tray, etc. I think it carries different names in different areas.

We were all getting worried as we didn't sell out the admission tickets like we always do. And we were short about 20 baskets over last year. On a positive note, the people that came dropped a lot of money. So after working on this non-stop for 5 months we made .... $31,000.

On a stinky note, DD called me before the event started and said there was a "tinking" noise coming from the front of the house. DH and I both told her that it was probably just the xmas lights knocking around in the wind and she and the babysitter should stay in the house and ignore it.
DH gets home to find that the front of the house had been paintballed.
So he called the police and then washed the outside of the house at midnight. But no one was hurt. Nothing was broken. And they didn't get the RV. I'm trying to stay positive but boy was I annoyed!!! At least I came home at 1 a.m. (my job was to count the money ) to a clean home. I love my DH.

Glad to hear you made a nice bunch of money there. Most fund raisers and such are way down this year because people just cant spend like they usually do. But it sounds like you had some very generous people.

We had a good trip to Silverton today although cold and wet. We did get to visit without oldest daughter and one grandson. Our grandaughter was working out at the gym and then off to work. Then the long ride back home.


Tonight is going to be extra cold and snow tonight and tomorrow.
Where is all this global warming they have been promising for 10 years now? I could sure use some of it on these cold nights I'll take my share right now

I almost forgot. I am so glad the paint balls didnt break any windows and such. Those things really hit hard. They were very popular in Florida and had special areas for kids to go and use them which helped keep down the vandalism.
Here I havnt heard of any problems with them I dont think they are as popular since it is way too cold out to use them much.Your husband is a real keeper!!! Dont let him get away

well escaped the snow but we are freezing and raining.
Going to work on cleaning up the RV today. Greg is here to help with the harder things and tis too cold to go out so a good time to get some extra heavy duty stuff done.

Then off to grab a few fresh things at the grocery store which will take me an hour at least because it is so far away.


is washing right now. But more to do!!

Anybody thought about excusrions yet?
I havnt but we will soon. Hope we dont miss Grand Caymen this year. That was the first time we missed a port in 18 cruises, so cant really complain. We have been there before a couple of times.

well it is raining again, after snowing, hail, sleet, sun and wind all day long. What a crazy day today was. Suppose to snow again tonight and it may stick then because it will be in the 20's tonight.

well I may get to check back once more later tonight so see if anyone is around today beside little old me

Morning all,
I had a crappy weekend so I stopped posting. I ended up putting my dog down Saturday afternoon and really haven't been right since. I feel like I'm snapping at everyone (well okay, everyone but my DD and DH). I know it has to do with me second guessing myself even though the vet that I trust implicitly told me it was time.

And to make my mood worse, some stinkin' (dis friendly word) mother to one of my girl scouts told me that I her daughter was hurt because I have the wrong email address for her mother and she didn't know about the church service for GS Sunday. And she would have been there but now she was upset and hurt. It's a freaking church service not the end of the world. And if her DD had been at the last meeting, I announced it. I can't help it if you choose to not to attend and then its my fault. Hello - I'm a volunteer!!!!!!

Phew! That feels better. Thank you for letting me vent. I need another vacation.

I am so sorry to hear about your dog. I love my two girls and I know I will be extremely upset when I loose them someday.

Don't worry the girl and her mother will get over it soon enough. Just make sure they are the first to get the notice about picking up trash along the highway next time I bet they wont show up

My oldest DD is a Campfire leader and has all kinds of things like that happen over the years.

Hey I dreamed last night that I won the lottery, around 3 million after taxes. Which is quite a dream since i never buy lottery tickets I called you and we paid for a cruise for you and the boys and your DD and grandaughter too.
It was a 7 day DCL cruise and we all had a blast, but then I woke up, darn it all!! I guess you must of been on my mind, it was weird!!

Good morning everyone,

well its freezing today and the snow and rain will be with us all day long. Down to 22 tonight, YIKES!!!!

Greg left for work , then had to come back, he forgot his cell phone for work. What was so funny was I saw it, so I started to pick up my cell to call him to tell him he forgot his phone

Nothing special here today, just trying to keep warm
