It is snowing like crazy which is great!

But the power is out which is bad!!!!!

Brantley, take advantage of the cold and snow. When the wife is really cold and frustrated with it, then hit her up with the Cruise idea

Hope you get power soon, though. That bitter cold is NO fun.

Guess I cant threaten the whip if you havnt got power. eventually the cell will go dead if you cant charge it too. I will have to be nice for a bit I guess

Brantley I hope you have power today

So much snow up the eastern part of the U.S. this morning

We are cold and wet today but had a nasty wind storm last night that kept me and Pixie up most of the night. Now I am really tired today but at least my head cold seems to have passed me by or at least just not shown up today I feel good.


Nothing exciting around here today.

We let our DD name her. So her name is Lily. It's a pretty name but I think she needs something stronger like ... troublemaker or chow hound. Her little belly was stuffed last night as she kept finding the big dogs' food and the cat food. We've picked up everything that she could possibly eat. Alas, she didn't make it through the night but DH was kind enough to get up with her and wash her bedding. The big dogs don't like her yet but they will adjust.

And yes, I see a lot of work in my future for this one!!

Hey Guys,

The power came back on about 10:00 this morning. For some reason, it seems like our subdivision is always the first ones to loose power. I walked outside last night and it looked like there were several street lights on up the main road, but no power to our neighborhood.

All the schools are closed and the courts are closed as well, so I think I am just going to enjoy a day off!!!!

The last time we upgraded phones, I got one with Windows Mobile. I did that so I could keep up with my calendar. You can plug it into your computer and it syncs Outlook on the computer with Outlook on the phone. It also had Internet Explorer on it. The thing is now I spend more time on the internet than checking my schedule

A lot of the snow has melted so far, but it is about 32 degrees now and suppose to get down to about 12 degrees tonight. I bet there will be lots of ice on the roads in the morning. They have already called off school for the girls, but I will be back to work!!!!

Well I am glad to hear nobody is all frozen up, they now have power. we hit 60 and sun this afternoon. I even got to open a few windows for a couple of hours before it started cooling off again.

Tacos for dinner,nice and easy. The meat is already cooked and seasoned, so I will just reheat in the microwave and we are ready to go!

Allison, I think she looks like a Lilly. At least for now. She is a cutie pie.

Does anyone know if there is any night time cold medicine that I can give a puppy to make her sleep through the night? Kind of like a doggie benadryl.

I forgot how frequently they need to go to the bathroom. And she does NOT like her crate. I can put her in there sound asleep and she will wake up immediately and start to cry. I'm making DH get up with her in the middle of the night. Of course I came down this morning and the two of them were curled up on the couch sound asleep. I think she already has him wrapped around her little paw.

Oh yeah, and she has a big Mickey head on the side of her body. I'll have to get a picture and post it. DD thinks it looks more like a heart and it probably does but I like to call it a Mickey head with a beard.

We had the same problem with Pixie. I bought some of those water proof puppy pads to put in her crate and an old towel on top of it for comfort and snuggling. Then what finally stopped her crying was an old shirt with my scent on it thrown in there. She would snuggle into it and sleep.

I looked on line for tips about puppies and they recommended putting something in the crate with the scent of who ever the puppy is closest to and for us it worked. Plus covering the crate witha blanket to keep it dark like a cave. Then the usual, No water for the last 2 hours before bedtime and a good playtime of an hour before bed. Last potty break just before bed. She then would sleep all night and of course a few wet clothes she slept on for about a week, then she just stopped.

I wish you lots of luck, its just like having a baby in the house again Accept puppies learn faster, thank goodness!!

well they say more rain today than yesterday and it will be getting colder as the week goes on I can't wait til spring!!
