Ok you guys will need to keep this thread off page 2 this weekend without me.
So keep up the posting while I'm gone:thumbsup2

I will be leaving early tomorrow to go to my moms for the weekend. She has been ill the past few weeks. Last week she spent the night in the ER and the last 2 days is getting worse again.
So i will be spending the weekend with her so my brother can take a break. He has been caring for her 24/7 for weeks now. But before he just slept there and she was ok during the day. Now she needs someone all the time.

He is taking her to the doctor as I type, so hopefully they will have something better to help her through this.

I'll be back on line on Monday.
so have a good weekend everyone,

Kathy

Kathy, hope your mom gets better. We will keep her in our prayers. Hopefully she will be feeling better when you get there and you guys will have a great weekend!!!!!

Morning all:

Just thought I would pop in and say hello......:wave2: Hi Kathy:wave2: Hi Greg....

I havent really gotten into facebook that much....havent been on the computer that much.....a lot going on here.....

First my dad is not doing well....he was diagnosed with emphasema and congestive heart failure....he seems to be going down daily. I'm hoping he hangs on at least another month so he can see pictures of the baby, plus on the 18th of april he will be 94 and hoping he makes it to his birthday.

Then there is Heather...counting down her time. 1 more month:love:  I cant wait...I am getting very excited...I leave for colorado on the 15th of april.....her due date the 17th and she just better wait for me to get there:rolleyes1 I'm just sayin!!!;)

Otherwise things arent to bad here......

Greg looks like you booked your aruba trip.....have a great trip.
Are you still planning on the rushmore trip? Did you cancel the disney 12/10 sailing? I'm thinking I may push that out to 2011 and sail on their new ship. This way the baby will be older and easier to travel with.

Kathy, how are things going with you? Do you hear from Linda at all?
How's the puppies?

Well gotta run....I did something really dumb this morning.....one of the doctors I work for decided she wants to start at 7am....so I am going to be the early person today....I need to be at work at 6:45....dont know what the heck I was thinking I was up at 4:15 and ready to leave by 5:10......it only takes 20 minutes to get to work. ...luckily I caught what I did before I left the house....so I had an hour to burn....:sad2: I could have stayed in bed another hour:confused3 oh well!!!! at least I get off at 3pm today.....I can come home and take a nap!!!

Have a good one

Hey Denise,

We will keep your dad in our prayers as well. Hope he improves and gets his strength back up.

I bet you guys are excited about the baby!!!!!

Hi Denise! :wave2:

Sorry to hear about your dad. Hope he hangs in there. :thumbsup2

I'll bet Heather is getting very excited! :goodvibes

That's pretty bad when you have to use an excuse of getting up to early for work.....then having an hour to burn, so you decided to get on and chat with us.....I'm just sayin'!! :lmao:

Yes, we're going to Aruba!

Yes, Mt. Rushmore is still on!

No didn't cancel DCL yet....will probably cancel it though or move it to one of the new ships for 2011 .

We're booked on a 9 day southern cruise with NCL for March 2010 and will book the Oasis of the Seas for later that year if RCCL starts running special to fill the ship.

Also heading back to Orlando in August for a shuttle launch. If the shuttle doesn't launch while we're there....we'll fly out to Jamaica for a week! :cloud9:

Greg you really really need to adopt me......really I'm hardley any trouble:rolleyes1 trust me...... I will even help with the kids!!!;)
Hope you guys have a great time on all your adventures....

What? I thought all attorneys were rolling in cash?! :lmao:

Yes, that's what everyone thinks!!!!:)

Real estate is way down. We have picked up some on refinancing. With the rates down, that helps out some.

Our district does not have a public defenders office, so most of us who do criminal defense work will also take indigent cases and the state pays the appointed fee for that work. Well, we have been told that fund will be broke by May and there will be no payments for several months untill the new budget is passed. But they must be close to being broke now, because they are paying less and less often now.

Plus, it seems like more and more people who come in just do not have the money to pay an up front retainer.

We have let one staff member go. Probably should have done it months ago, but we really hated to cut someone's job. It just got to the point that we had to set a fixed office budget and cutting one staff position was necessary.

One of bigger firms in our town has put all of their staff on part time hours. They are working the staff in 6 hour shifts.

Oh well, all will be fine just as soon as I get my stimulus check!!!!!!:rotfl2:

I keep checking the mail, but it is never there?????:confused3 :lmao:

Denise, I think adoption is illegal after age 18?...will have to check with Brantely on that one.

I do need a new house keeper. Had to fire our last one 2 years ago and just haven't found a replacement yet. LOL (actually the money we've saved is what we've been vacationing on the past two years!) :lmao:

I sure hope things start getting better your way.

Here in Idaho we didn't get hit as hard as other states with foreclosures, job losses, etc.

The new construction is down, but I still see new homes being built all around me. I'm so glad I own several acres, so no one can build right next door to me! :lmao:

I think we're getting close to the bottom, but it will take many years to get ourselves out of this mess.

Good Morning Everyone! Looks like nanas keep checking in! Denise, I'm sure you are sooo excited about the baby. I bet you are picking things up for the baby constantly! That was (is) so much fun!

Kathy, waiting to here how mom's doing! Missed wishing you well. One more page and you are on another thread!

Brantley, as you know, Michigan has the highest rate of unemployment anywhere! If one of our auto plants goes under, the state will be devastated! My two daughters--It looks like Stephanie may be losing her job, UPS shut down a shipping center and someone with more seniority (and she's salaried) can bump her out of her job. The person hasn't interviewed yet, so she's hoping! Sarah, can't find a job. She's trying Avon on the side. Believe it or not, she's doing quite well. I would have thought that those extras would be in the first to go :confused3

Greg, tried to call you about Brayden. You didn't answer and THEN I saw you posted that he was doing great.

Hi Allison :wave2:

You know Greg: Bla Bla Bla about all this illegal stuff.....I'm not protesting the adoption....plus I wont cost as much as your last housekeeper.....:rotfl:

Hi Dawn:
Gee sorry to hear about your daughters and their jobs. I know things are really bad, I'm hoping that they start to pick up.
So how are all the grandkids these days? Any trips coming up...I didnt notice if you had a ticker or not.....
I spent sooooo much money on that baby already.....had her shower in January and when I started wrapping what I had picked up over time, I couldnt belive all the stuff I had.....but it is sooooo much fun.....I have been good lately, I just bought her a really cute little white sweater and a pair of sunglasses...(pink of course)....cant wait to meet that little girl....thinking of picking her up a swimsuit as mom loves to lay by the pool...thought it would be a cute little gift....

Well just doing some:laundy: and then I'm going to run and get an oil change....later going to the show and out to dinner.

Have a great weekend all

Denise

Hi Denise! My grandkids are great! Boys are about to start their spring sports :woohoo: I had Elizabeth overnight last night! Love it! We've been cleaning Skylar's room in plans to renovate over spring break--make more teenagerish. She had a blast going through all the toys!

We just went to Gurnee Mills over the winter break. Next trip will probably be Mt. Rushmore. Once sports start, there is no vacation. They will begin first of April and run through first part of July. I have definitely moved our cruise reservation to 11/27/2010, the traditional nanahead week. We will most likely rebook for one of the new ships then.

Really glad to hear grandbaby is doing good--and Heather :rolleyes1 But we know who comes first now, don't we!

Actually you can do an adult adoption!!!!! I can set that right up for you guys!!!!! And for the attorney fee.....you can just transfer one of your Disney vacations to me!!!!!:thumbsup2

Hi Allison :wave2:

Things here in NC seemed to get worse when the banking industry started taking a hit. We are right up I-77 from Charlotte, home for Bank of America and Wachovia. There are a lot of people who live in this county and commute to Charlotte.

Dawn, I know all about MI. Staci's did retired from GM and her brother works in the proving grounds now. He worrys about his job on a daily basis. Hope it picks up for you guys up that way as well!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Pretty nice day on tap here! Fifties and sunny!

Have a great Sunday!
