Dawn, what a nightmare! Glad you got your power back!!

We were in the basement at 3 am last night because the sirens were going off. We took the boys down to the bathroom and put down a blanket and they both just slept on the floor. Fortunately we didn't have to be down there long. But a tornado did hit a neighborhood in omaha and there was a few homes damaged.

Kathy, I'm not sure if in this photo that Minnie's name fits her. She looks kinda mean!!!:scared1: :rotfl:

I know, she has extra large canine teeth and her lips always get caught on them and make it look like she is growling. I call it her beauty tooth.:lmao:
She is really an extra gentle dog, she loves to cuddle and snuggle all the time.

well its late,
good night all,

Kathy

I am way tooo excited to go to work with only 2 days to my holiday.
I will sort out my camera with new batteries and a clean memory card tonight so that is all ready.

Good Morning Everyone,

Welcome back Dawn. The pool looks like a nightmare...But you and the family are safe and that is what is important.

We are in for record temps again today....98+. Yesterday during the race, the temps on the street for the bikers hit 120. We have an old house and the air conditioning just takes the edge off but far from cools. SO right now sitting here at work feels great.

Have a great day everyone.

Chuck :goofy:

Is someone lurking....lol

Chuck your getting too good at getting the top! I'm afraid I won't be able to challenge you much longer. In two more days, I'll have to fight for the computer! :lmao: The boys are off for the summer...

Kathy, That's funny that Minnie actually "likes" the shirt! :rotfl: Alexis will let us dress her but she hates it. The only time she likes something on is when it's really cold then she'll sit by the door and look at us saying "Well aren't you going to put my coat on?"

Melanie, Sirens on the whole don't scare me anymore with the new technology where they go off in the likelyhood of a tornado. We always go down in the basement but we "don't take cover." But that storm we had on Friday night hit us BEFORE the sirens went off and we grabbed Alexis and ran for the basement and took cover. We have a bathroom too that has cement blocks on all 3 sides that we go to. :scared1: It was scary especially if you saw the tree that fell about 25 foot from our house!

Lisa, Have a great time on your holiday! I'm hoping you can relax some and forget the troubles at home!

Depending on weather, another severe storm predicted this evening, the pool guy said probably Thursday for the pool!

Christian is suppose to have a game tonight.

I'll be lurking today. Chow.

Morning everyone,

Chuck, loved the pictures:thumbsup2
Good job on top of the page this morning:thumbsup2

Lisa, have a great vacation and remember to take lots of pictures for the rest of us to enjoy.

we live through otheres pictures here while we wait fro our vacations.

cold and rainy again, NO surprize there.
But starting wednesday it suppose to be sunny and in the mid 70's for 5 days.:cool1: but of course here we have to wait and see if it is really true or not. it changes really fast here.

Dawn, where are you this morning? hope your ok.

back later,

Kathy

Hi Dawn,
Today I am leaving the shirt off her because she is healing nicely and not bothering it. so she sits there looking at me and then the shirt, like she is saying.
put it on me, its cold today:lmao:
Guess I'd better get it out of sight soon so she will forget about it.
I will be lurking too.

later,
Kathy

Morning Gang!
It was a very busy weekend here since we worked all day Saturday so I have much to do so will have to be brief.

Chuck- You seem to be a big fan of the AKL, tell me about it. I've never actually stayed on Disney property. (I'm more of a cruiser...) But would love to take the kids there someday.

Dawn- Sirens didn't used to scare me but after seeing the damage in Parkersburg Chris and I are both a little freaked out now. I think we'll high-tail it to the basement every time from now on. Glad you are ok!!

Hi Kathy and Lisa and anyone else who's lurking!:hippie:

Ok gang, i finally have a few pictures of the area I am living at right now.
I love the wooded hills around me, no housing developements either.

this is the back of a truck stop off to one side. There are a couple of gas stations and 2 mini marts and couple small mom and pop type restaurants. Mostof all for entertainment there is an ADULT store open 24 hours. something to keep the truckers busy I guess:lmao:

What a pretty area! So different than Florida!

Looks like another storm headed in :( I said we needed rain but this is ridiculous!

We have to proceed as if Christian's game is on but it looks like the heavens could open up at any minute.

I check back in later.

Dawn- A lot of Chris' softball games have been cancelled too. I doubt they'll ever make them all up! We're good today but it looks like we'll have more storms Tues.-Friday.

I'm gonna go up and enjoy a few moments of peace in the sun on the deck before it's time to get the young ones!

Oh! Kathy, looks like a peaceful place to live. Hopefully it's as peaceful as it looks!!!

Here's my "photos of the day". From deck 4.

Hi Kathy and Lisa and anyone else who's lurking!:hippie:

AKL is where we have our time share. We had waited to buy in until it opened up. We just love the decor of the lodge, the animals, and the feel of it. We find it very relaxing compared to some of the other resorts. Plus one of our favorite restaurants is Boma. We have heard alot of good things about Wilderness Lodge. We have tried a few times to book there but since it is not our home resort we have to wait until 6 months before our trip to book and always end up on a wait list. Some people find it very dark because of the dark woods used. All of the hotels offer something different, just a matter of what is most important and of course the cost.

Christian won 6 - 4. Went through the whole game and it did not rain nor has it rained yet! It's cooled down now too about 72 degrees.

Boys last day of school tomorrow--1/2 day.

Have a good night.
