Our school doesn't get out until the 19th this year. Usually we are out the week prior but the new principal is being a pain in the behind.

I would hate that! That's as bad as the govenor making it the "law" that school can't start until after Labor Day in Michigan!

Howdy everyone, looks like I am last in line for posting this morning. I was lazy getting on line today after being on line for most of the day yesterday.

Our school here is laways the middle of June before its out. Not sure of the exact date this year but I know its at least 2 more weeks. It has always been that way. The original idea was the first crops of the year are strawberries which are ripe mid to late june and kids were suppose to be out of school just in time for harvest, so they could pick the fruit.


We are headed for mid 80's today, maybe 90 tomorrow Which inside this RV means really HOT!!! Even with both AC units going. it will be cooler to sit outside.
Tomorrow Greg is taking the RV in to have the AC charged so I will have to babysit the pups in the truck for about 2 hours until he returns.
It will be too hot to just stay outside with them for that length of time so I will drive somewhere I guess?? Just to kill some time, but i hate to burn up the gas. It is getting so exepnsive., I hate to just drive around and waste it.

Jeff, looked like you guys had fun with Bill & Shell. The 2 photos I saw were very nice. Looks like you had great weather!!
I hope you dont miss your meeting!!


I will be peeking back at the thread through out the day since I will be on line a lot again today.

Hi Allison!

You guys aren't out of school until June 19th??? Are you serious?!

Yeah, this year is really late. We usually start the day after Labor Day and have never gotten out this late. DD goes to Catholic school so the Diocese is on this kick to get in 190 days. The state only requires 180. The last principal (a nun) told the diocese that she would land somewhere in between. I think the new principal (not a nun) told them she would comply. It truly stinks!! The school is not air conditioned and I guarantee you that the kids will not be doing anything the last 2 weeks!!

And to top it off, in the fall the principal is starting the week prior to Labor Day. I wanted that week for vacation but I guess its out this year. Oh well, I'll just yank her out for the cruise!!

Looks like its shaping up to be another warm day today!

I got my driveway seal coated last week and I can't believe how much better it looks now......looks brand new again!

Well, we did have the game inbetween a couple of showers and through one! It was sooo warm (about 78 degrees with lots of humidity) so I'm sure the boys thought it was great! We were tied until the bottom of the 6th and they got a run--good game.

Good Thursday morning! Another overcast day here. Suppose to be only pop-up showers for today Tonight is the honors program. Both boys will receive high honors tonight. Honors is for B's and High Honors is for A's. Makes me proud.

I finally have sold my first fish extender for the month of May . Makes me wonder how the DCL sales are doing too!

I'm with you Dawn! I would have been packed by now with the bag sitting by the door. I get so excited to go on vacation that I can't help but pack super early!!

this DUMB Yahoo has been giving me all kinds of problems. It wont let me post or send letters and kicks me off line constantly

Dawn, Tell the boys I am proud of them too. Thats great they are doing so well. Usually the older kids get the harder it is to keep them motivated to keep grades up.

YEAH!!! It posted.

So I will post a bit more.
The sun is out and going to be upper 80's today and 90 tomorrow

This morning we need to take the RV in to get the AC charged. It is a 30 miute drive to the place to get it done, an hour to do it and 30 minutes back, so the morning is pretty much shot. Appt is at 10 a.m. We will be leaving soon. I am following in the truck because i have no place else to go while they work on it.

There is a nice walking trail close to there and we will walk the pups while they work on the AC.


I talked to my brother yesterday and he had a good visit with mom. So her mind set has changed again. Hope it stays good for a few days, so I can see her that way too.
He did conference with the nurse and mom is getting much worse at night now. That is normal for her condition and we have been expecting it. We can tell by talking with her that she is slipping alot lately. That is also normal for dimenta. They stay at one level for a long time then instantly drop down a level.

I hope everyone is having a good day today. Mine will be busy. I am still researching places to stay. I hope the internet works better today so I can accomplish something.

Had to drop what I was doing and go to a couple stores with Elizabeth. She didn't see me yesterday because of the rain at the time of the games and was missing me Then she had to come in and sit in our chair together with some flavored water and watch some "Disney" THEN and only then she was ready to go home!
