Greg, Sorry to hear about your fall. Hope you're feeling better soon. My husband rides and I always worry about him.

Dawn - Great job on the yard sale. I always love to make money off of stuff that I was just going to throw out anyway.

Family is healing. Everyone is staying out of the hospital this weekend (so far) so all is good. Of course now the scary ambulance ride was "cool" because they kept the siren running the whole way!! Amazing how 5 year old little boys can bounce back. Of course the rest of us have a few more gray hairs. Thanks for the thoughts and well wishes.

I'm off to buy candy at Wal-Mart for the girl scout troop to toss out at the parade. Does this happen in other parts of the country? It never happened when I was growing up but I move 45 minutes away and this town throws candy. Of course I have to remind some of the girls that its not a softball game. They don't get points for beaning people in the head.

Morning everyone......so how is everyone's weekend going?

Going to Sue's today...we are having a cookout, just a group of us ladies...so it should be a good time....I'm bringing potato salad, I made a receipe yesterday for kit kat bars (paula deen) and bringing some drinks....cant wait...weather here is looking clear and sunny.....

I went shopping yesterday for living room furniture....I finally found what I was looking for in the color that I want....now I have to figure out when I want to order/purchase it....I would like to time it around the time I move, but since I'm not sure when that is, it makes things a little difficult....plus it would be helpful if I knew where I was moving I havent even started looking for a place yet!! I'm waiting to here if our "buyer" has a nibble on her house, then I will start looking....
There is a townhome directly across the street from my son's that is for sale, so I told him I saw pictures of it on realtor.com and I really liked it. So I told him I was going to move in across the street!!! For some reason, he just isnt to happy about that He keeps telling me there are other places right around the corner from him for sale!!! I guess he just dosnt want his mother that close to him!!! But I did have a good time telling him I was really gonna buy the place....I think I had him really stressed out!!!! It was actually funny...

So Greg, you better take care...when is your trip? Hope your feeling better.

Dawn: the showing the other night, they were not interested. That's ok...the person that we have the written contract with had her inspection friday nite and I was thrilled as we passed...we have nothing to fix or correct which is a great thing.

Way to go, Denise! It sounds like your buyer really wants to get a move on...best of luck for her now too!

We are having a BBQ tomorrow. Decided to stay home.

This weekend here they have been reminding people about the shock of the cold water here and we did have at least one drowning for sure, due to the cold shock .
I am so glad your ok.
Ok thats all of that. This was your once a year time when I am nice to you.
hope you enjoyed it because it wont happen again for a long time

Happy Memorial Day!

A little cooler for us today--low 70s but this has been the best Memorial Day weekend we've had in Michigan in a long, long time! Rain suppose to move in this evening.

We'll grill some hamburgs, hotdogs and brats about 4--after Elizabeth gets up from her nap. Everybody else grilling?

Denise, How did your BBQ go? Bet it was fun!

Hey all!

Beautiful day in NJ. I'm sure DH will fire up that grill at some point. Our DD has a buddy over. I told her that if she could clean her room in 30 minutes she could have a friend over! I'll do anything to get her to clean her room.

The parade was shortened yesterday. There was a dryer fire in the laundromat in the middle of the parade route. So all the firetrucks, rescue squad, etc. block the second half of the route while we snuck up the back way to the VFW. But I had purchased a lot of candy to throw so I was running up to kids and dumping handfuls on them.
And because the parade route was different the streets weren't blocked and the police were busy at the fire. You would think that people would use their common sense and not try to cross the street (with the cars) in the middle of the girl scouts marching. I actually walked up to one car and smacked her window to get her attention . She kept telling me that she just wanted to cut across the street. Ummm, you can wait 5 minutes. Don't hit my kids!! But all was better when we got to the VFW in one piece.

Greg, I hope you're feeling better soon. Keeping popping that ibuprofen.
Denise - I hope the buyer sells her home soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Just hate having to wait a year and a half till the next time we see the magic. But we do get to WDW in a little over a week to get our disney fix.
