Ok Kim, sounds a little weird, but it's a single male friend of ours who is like a brother to me. My DH and he are good buddies and he's a surrogate uncle to my boys. He loves theme parks and he hasn't been to Orlando in a long time so we're inviting him along.

Now that were in the winter doldrums I really dream of being back on the ship.
I bought DH a CD onboard Mannheim Steamroller meets the Mouse, their version of Disney songs. Very nice-makes me feel better.

I did not get a membership card from CC but I got a postcard with some info.

We just got our CC postcard right before New Years. My sister got hers right away and another friend still hasn't gotten hers. Strange as they were all sent at the same time. Our post card to ourselves said "Wish we were back on the beach!" Ain't it the truth.

Millie- We were also thinking of RCCL in Summer 2006. The drive was killer and we were thinking about cruising out of NY or Bayonne, NJ

I’m getting back to reading our thread – after about a week of trying to catch up at work. AND ... I tried to reply the other day and there was an error. (HATE THAT ... but so glad that this time I saved my note so I wouldn't have to tax my brain remembering what I had written.Some of my comments are going to be WAY out of date.

Amanda and April – who is Dana? I guess I mean what travel agency? Last year we just kept our reservation with Disney, but if we can get some money back I’ll move it.

Millie – we also did RCCL, but it was 8 or so years ago – and without any kids. We have enjoyed every cruise and every cruise line - including RCCL. Carnival has a great kids program also – we went last spring. But no one has as great a bunch of people as the 11/27/04 Disney cruise!!!

Amanda … not done with this tread – just not checking every minute like I used to do.

Who else rebooked for 11/26/05? I know April did. Anyone else? I know I should go check the new thread but it’s too early to get hooked on that one.

We don’t have snow yet, but I’m still wished VERY HARD for spring to get here. Matt is getting cabin fever!!! And so am I.

Hi Diane, Dana is at Micdan.com we did save enough for the REAS package this year. Our part of North Carolina has been very warm for the past couple of weeks anywhere from the low 60's to about 70. I am trying to talk dh to a long weekend at universal but I know that he isn't going to budge. oh well - I love universal especially staying onsite. We had an awesome rate the week of Thanksgiving before the cruise. FOTL is hard to beat! Well hope you aren't too cold. The people on our next cruise on the thread all seem pretty nice.

Hoe funny april. I am doing the same thing for next weekend! LOL trying to talk DH into it, but just for sat/sun/mon. I got a great GA res disc at Royal Pacific. I figure we can breeze thru the parks in 2 days with FOTL

Hi all!! I thought you were all gone, I stopped getting emails and then I had trouble posting, the site forgot me and I had to re-enter things. Strange.

It is so cold here I can barely stand it! We've shown our cruise pics to everyone now so I have to think of an excuse to pull them out!! I really really wish i could get DH to rebook!!!

Hi everyone! I know, it's been a while. We've had a pretty rough post-Christmas run, so I dropped out for a while. But I miss my DIS friends. Kim--thank you for checking up on us. We survived the flooding two weeks ago (some minor damage, but no one got swept away). Then came the sub-zero temps and sleet last night. Florida is looking pretty good right about now! Now that the job situation has settled, I think we'll start looking at re-booking for late 2006. Around Christmas, I was advised that our parent company was consolidating and downsizing its IT areas. Those who survived the downsizing could either move to St. Louis or take a permanent leave. Fortuately my boss, who had been cut in the first round of downsizing, asked me to come to work for him at another hospital. But the new job kept me busy for most of the month. In the midst of this, Steph's brother became critically ill and she spent a good portion of the time in Fort Wayne. And then there was the ugly incident with the dwarfs and Mike Wallace showing up at my door with a cameraman while I was in my best dress, but that's another issue altogether. Am I forgiven for not keeping in touch??????

Thank you. The pixie dust must work. All things considered, everything has turned out well. I'm much more comfortable in my new position (which works for nursing operations and not the constantly endangered IT department) and Steph's brother has come out of his comatose state. He has a long recovery ahead but appears to be out of danger. Now if we can just stay away from these snowstorms!!!

Kim and Curt - are you snowed in yet? We here Chicago is getting it today. We get the big one tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon. They are predicting at least a foot. All Matt has been talking about all week is going sledding. Rick tried to take him after the inch of snow this week, but it was gone by the time he got to the park.

I hope it is warming up in the Chicago area. I'll be out there next week and the week after for work. Chicago in the winter is not my idea of fun. Now Orlando that's another story ... we have an office there but in 9 years I've only had to go there twice.

I MISS YOU GUYS!!! What a great group!! The other cruise lines just don't have anything like this. We're cruising on Carnival in May (Mexican Riviera) so I went to Cruise Critic to check out the thread. There have only been 10 posts and only 2 of those are from people actually on the cruise. I posted a few days ago and there hasn't been any activity. I was hoping to find pen pals for Matt. BOY AM I SPOILED!!! But they wouldn't have been like his Disney pen pals anyway. He would have been expecting to see Matt and Max and Chase and he would have been disappointed.

So ... who wants to cruise on Carnival this Spring?? HA HA HA!!! We're going with a group of 10 (my family) so we won't be lonely but it would be great to see some familar faces.

Why Carnival you ask? ... it's my parents favorite cruise line - they won't cruise anything else. You see, the Disney ships are lacking something my 80 year old mother insists we have on a crusie. The Casino? ... NO. Different Ports? ....No. Fancy ballroom dancing? .... NO. What she wants - insists on having is ..........................the adult slide!!! She is on it all the time. She has a ball - sliding all day.

Amanda - I spotted the new name. VERY NICE. I guess it was time to change the "two days to go" name.

Curt, I'm so glad to hear that your BIL is on the mend and that your new job is a better fit for you.

Sorry that it's been so long since I posted. Work has been crazy and the holidays were a blurr. But things are going to slow down for me after the first week of February (I have to do year end reviews for 20 by then, yuck!). I've decided that this is my last year for that much responsibility at work. I told them last week that I will finish the year end stuff for my employees but after that, I want to just manage client account relationships again. So, I'll have so much more time after beginning of Feb.

I miss all of you and have not had much time to sort through the 300 pictures that I had developed at Costco. It may take awhile, but I'll send copies out.

Diane, we're getting the same big snow storm today. We have about 10 inches now and it's supposed to keep snowing for the next 24 hours! The kids are thrilled!

Amanda, I'm going to check with Dana on our 12/3 cruise price. Is she with a travel agency that's been around awhile? Have you used her often?

We did receive our CC Club cards and CD. I haven't had a chance to put the CD in yet, but I'm looking forward to it. We would love to be back in Florida or on the ship right now.

We ended up changing our booking to the 12/3 Western. Grandma and Grandpa have done the Eastern itenerary twice already and didn't want to do it again. I'm sad because I'd rather do the Eastern and Matt will be devistated when I tell him he won't be cruising with Matt.

Well off to clean or wash something!
