11/26/2011 EARLY Bananahead reunions cruise

Denise,
those are awesome photos.!!!:cool1:
I too love the last one the best, it is really cute.
I hope Heather gets to come home in January ok. That would really brighten up the dreary winter months for you.

Kathy

Well, I just got back from town and I found a bed, but it only comes in Queen size.

I'm thinking I'll do some bed rearranging. Maybe I'll get the new Queen size bed for Nicole and move Nicole's bed into Holly's room.

We're trying to get ready for the big game tomorrow night also.

That snack with taco meat sounds yummy! Janel always makes chips n dip with cream cheese, cocktail sauce and crab meat? Not exactly sure what all is in it, but its really good. :thumbsup2

its never as simple as buying a bed. Now you have to move furniture and once a bed is out of the room I'll bet you'll think WOW that carpet needs to be shampooed. So then you'll be busy all next weekend getting rooms cleaned, carpets shampooed and furniture rearranged.:lmao::lmao:

I love Crab but Greg is allergic to crab, shrimp and such.
He can have clam chowder and not swell up but thats all.

I'll let you know if my experiment comes out good or not. It will probably depend if they are happy with the score rather than the flavor of the snacks:rotfl2:

Off to think of something for tonights dinner?
Kathy
I am making deviled eggs with bacon in them too.

Having kids is such an adventure.....if it's not one thing, its another.....
good luck on the bed arrangements....or rearrangements:)

Kathy, you really need to quit posting all of your cooking that your doing. It all sounds so good....then I get a taste for it and I dont have enough food in the house to cook it......:sad2: sad situation!!:)

have a good evening all

Denise:banana::banana:

Kathy when is your daughter due again......it's soon isnt it?
Keep us posted.
How is your mom doing?

ok, this should be the last post.....then I should get top again.....

gotta keep Greg on his toes

Hi Everyone :goodvibes

Did anyone book the Disney Dream?

Did anyone book the Oasis of the Seas?

I booked the Dream for August 2011, Going on NCL in February and Mitch really wants to go on the Oasis in the summer. We'll have to see, that ship is priced way too high.

How is your mom doing?

Well originally it was Jan 1st for her due date but the Dr.has moved it up a few days a couple times now, so I guess its around Christmas day now?
She said the other day the baby is dropped and ready to come. Ultra sound makes it out to be around 7 pounds and is a girl. So who knows when it will come, sometimes between now and the next 3 weeks.:confused3:confused3:lmao:

I still need to buy her a gift. She needs alot because she got rid of all her baby stuff after #2 saying she wouldnt never go through thst again.
Then she decides out of the blue she wants more kids and her husband had his vasectomy reversed and it worked. Crazy huh?

Mom is hanging in there. Mentally she is happy when we visit but her memory is gone accept for the moment she is living. 2 minutes after showing her photos she wont remember and is happy to see you brought photos to look at all over again. She knows we 3 kids but nobody else in the family.

She is starting to show signs of the 3rd level of Dimentia which is NO way to live. We think the congestive heart failure will take her life before she gets in stage 3. I hope so. I dont want my mom to suffer and be a vegetable.

She still eats well but cant walk alone, very weak, sleeps most of the time, confuses easily and coughs a lot due to the congestive heart failure and now the terrible Panic attacks have come back at night which keeps her up and they have to give her oxygen to help her to breath.

So its just one day at a time with mom. As long as she is happy and not in pain I am happy.

Thats my update.

Joanna,
we didnt book the dream due to the itenary it is doing. Will book the Fantasy in 2012. Not sure what we will do in 2011??

kathy

Kathy...Sorry to hear about your mom, but glad to hear about your new grandaughter. How old are your daughters other 2 kids?

Well 12/7 is my husbands birthday and 12/18 is mine and both are good days.

Actually the 7th is better than the 18th...once you hit the 14th it's all Christmas mode

Well if Denise isn't just the sneaky one lately with the top pages?! :rolleyes1

Joanna, we're booked on the Dream in October about Halloween time, but I'm not really sure we'll be able to keep it. We're doing a Mediterranean cruise in December with Bob & Lisa and depending on how expensive airfare is we may have to cancel it.

I really want to cruise on Oasis too, but I'm a patient man....I'll wait until all the people who are willing to pay the higher prices get their fill and then I'll book it once the price comes down.

I don't think it will take to awfully long. Once the Allure of the Seas sets sail in 2010 its going to be very difficult to fill both ships with 5,000+ cruisers each week with out slashing prices.

Happy thursday everyone:goodvibes
This will be an exciting thursday for us and for Gregs family due to the civil war game tonight:thumbsup2 Peters professor is letting everyone out of class early because the entire class would leave early anyway to watch the game. The class usually ends at 6 p.m. and thats when the game begins.
Smart professor, of course he probably wants to go and watch it too:happytv:

Joanna, Rachels other kids are DD 10 and DS 7. But the 7 year old is a high level of autism so is a handfull at times. I dont envy her with a baby and a special needs child. But i know her DH will do more than his share of caring for all the kids, he always does when he is home.

We want to go on the Oasis too but like Greg we will wait until prices come down. It wont take long I am sure.

Cold again today, all the game will be played in 30's for temps tonight. It was in the 20's in Eugene this morning and we almost hit 20's ourselves.
Good thing i will be cooking today, that helps to warm the place up. No walking the dogs though, too darn cold!!

Greg, do you have the bedrooms all rearranged yet?
Will be back later,

Wonder where Dawn is? I may have to e-mail her.
kathy

Good morning Kathy.

It was -2 when I woke up this morning and its still only 4 degree now!

I haven't got the rooms rearranged yet....hoping to get it done today.

We're getting ready for the big game tonight...GO DUCKS!! :woohoo:

:cool1::cool1:I booked both
Oasis of the Seas Nov 13th, 2010
Back 2 Back Dream Oct 31st, 2011

I didn't find Oasis to be any more expensive than Disney (except the room is much smaller). I guess I'm just used to paying too much $$$$ for cruises.

Yeah, in Sept.-Dec. next year the price isn't to bad....I'd be willing to bet that later on in 2011 the prices will drop almost in half.

The only bad thing about the Oasis is that is does the same old "cookie cutter cruises" that everyone else does.

I like going to places out of the ordinary. If they'd do a southern Caribbean cruise going to ports like Barbados, Aruba, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Antigua, etc....I'd be all over that! :thumbsup2

I'm hoping sometime in 2011 Oasis or Allure will stray from the norm and do something different like that.

That's because the ship is too big for most ports. It will not tender (too many people) so they can only go to ports that were willing to make room.

I'm not really going for the ports, I'm going to see the ship. Most people say it's a resort at sea, doesn't feel like a cruise at all. Some people have complained that it doesn't focus enough on the ocean (can't really see it from most areas). If you go on a cruise because you love the ocean, this is not the ship for you.

Howdy Christine,

Nice to see you posting.
How was your Thanksgiving?

I suppose your still toasty warm there:sad2:
I am freezing here.

Kathy
