11/26/2011 EARLY Bananahead reunions cruise

I just got back from town and picked up the new Ice Age movie. I guess we'll see if its any good?

No snow!! I think we dodged a bullet? It did hail for a few minutes, but that was about it. Had some strong winds, but nothing to serious.

You'll have to let me know how your travel pillow works out for you. We'll be making the flight across the pond in December, but I'm planning on booking a flight on either a Boeing 777, 747 or on the new Airbus A380 double decker....hopefully they'll have a little more leg room for me and I can get a window seat and lean my pillow against the window.

That red eye flight Janel and I took to Aruba in June was miserable! I couldn't sleep and my legs got cramps because the seats were to close together.

I want to see that movie. I liked the first two movies. I saw where it will be playing on the flight to Orlando that we are on but it will be so late at night I should try to sleep or I will probably fall asleep watching it.

I am hoping when we put our clocks back on Sunday that will give me an extra hour to relax. But since Florida is 3 hours ahead of us when we arrive at 9 a.m. i will be feeling like its 6 a.m.
Coming back it's great!!

I talked with my brother today. They finally got my mom changed to a new room. She was getting too weak to walk to the dining room and had to be pushed in a wheelchair to get to her meals.

Now she walks from her room across the hallway and is in the side door of the dining room and she sits at the first table, so she can make it on her own.
She is right next to the nurses station too so they can be more watchful of her now. Plus the only resident there she likes and can actually have a conversation with is now her room mate. Her large window looks out to the court yard now too so thats a different view than before.

Anything they can do to make her more happy and comfortable they are trying to do for her. I have nothing but praise for everyone there.

So far she is going into her room where before she wouldnt. So thats good. Hopefully after a few more days on her new meds we will be able to see her without aggitating her.

Well thats my news for the day.

Greg is working on a few contracts so the guys can keep working while he is gone. So it sme and the computer and TV tonight.

Theres a new NCIS on at 8 which I will watch,

Something to brighten your day


Two brooms were hanging in the closet and after a while they got to know each other so well, they decided to get married.

One broom was, of course, the bride broom, the other the groom broom.
The bride broom looked very beautiful in her white dress. The groom broom was handsome and suave in his tuxedo. The wedding was lovely.

After the wedding, at the wedding dinner, the bride-broom leaned over and said to the groom-broom, 'I think I am going to have a little whisk broom!'


'IMPOSSIBLE !' said the groom broom.

That was pretty good!

Glad to hear you mom is doing better and they got her a room close to the dinning room. Sounds like that was just what she needed.

Well the temperature is dropping....I think I'll start a fire and watch the news.

I tried going to bed early again last night, but didn't fall asleep until about 2am....the winds howling at around 50mph didn't help much either.

Sounds like you need a good whack on the head so you can sleep better
When i use to get off work at 11:00 P.M. for years it was so hard to go to sleep at a normal time when I quit. Its all a habit your use to an dhard to break. keep at it, you'll make it. If not just chug a pint of whiskey and you'll sleep After your done being sick.

Morning, its 37 this morning.

Remember at 1:15 West coast time, 4:15 East coast tiem today they are going to announce the official itenary for the new ship thats replacing the wonder. I am hoping for some 5 day cruises as well as the 3 and 4 day ones.

I know there is a live web cam somewhere on the Disney site to watch this announcement. Knowing me I will forget it and have to research to see what they say. If it stays exactly the same as The Wonder then people will be upset for such a big build up for it. They are implying something different and new by such a big announcement with all the hype for it.

Well another day and still no snow! I think we maybe out of the woods on this one?!

Clear skies and sunny today! Its still cold though....about 36 this morning.

So far it looks like everyone at our home is better and over the sickness. (knock on wood)

Gotta head into town for a meeting. I'll check in later.

Looks like we may have our house rented and by better people this time.

Yeah, it sure would be nice if they would rotate ships a few times and have the new ship do a few 7 day cruises every now and then, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I wasn't even counting!

My phone has been ringing off the hook since 8am.....good for business though!

I re-booked our Mediterranean cruise this morning. (same cruise) I found another travel agent who was able to get us a much better deal on our penthouse plus gave us $600 obc!!

I guess that extra money saved can go into the excursion budget now!

I love those OBC they can really help stretch the budget. Ours is paying for our excursions and a small internet package. I need internet in case something happens with my mom while we are cruising.

They can call me too but its very expensive. I think $7 a minute.

Plus our dog sitter posts us updates on the girls so we know if they are eating, and sleeping like they should or really lonesome. If they wont eat then my oldest DD can come over and see them I think they would then eat, since they know her really well.

They have stayed for 10 days last year and did really well so shouldnt be any problems.

I must remember to see what they announce in an hour about the itenaries.

Good thing your keeping busy, you have 2 cruises and airfare to pay for now

Pepperoni pizza for dinner tonight.
I have 4 sliced of bread left and don't want to buy any this close to the cruise. Thats enough for 2 more lunches for Greg if I have dinners wher ehe wont be eating bread.

I can use it up at dinner and he can buy lunch out

Lets just say i have been challenging my memory this week for better things than the announcement

This cruise I actually did the cruise mates list and when the other lady got busy I took over the FE list too. Then out of 30+ people a few couldnt get it this time where they did before.
So they emptied their mailboxes and one still couldnt receive it. We changed the version of word, compressed the file, split the file in 2 parts and even sent it from Gregs computer and still no luck. She could open the 2nd half of the list but not the first half.
He did something yesterday and resent it again and this time she got it and could open it.

So see my brain has been busy this last week, plus several of my e-mails never reached the person I sent it to and it never came back. I have no idea why. I am hoping its just our lousy server, not my computer.

Hey we made it up to 50 today which really surprized me but with the wind it feels like 40 out there. Rain coming in tonight.

No snow yet! It started out sunny today, but then got a little overcast. The weather man says a high pressure system is coming this way and bringing us warmer tempts! (I'm sure warmer meaning 45 degree?!)
