They're actually in Mt. Dora, but you know ... it's all in the same general place.

If Kathy is rooting for the Colts, looks like the Bears should pull out a victory!!!:cool1:
I'm rooting for cool commercials and Prince! :love:

Cheri, tell Jess that Aunt Shell says HI and sends a big KISS and HUG!

Sorry Shell,
I am always calling them the wrong name because they kinda run together.

Pat just posted on the 08 thread and they are ok, just a few branches down. She has helicopters flying overhead and the area is a mess.

It has been a bad day all around today, first the tornadoes, then
My daughter contacted me today and she has a head on crash. Some guy crossed over into her lane and hit her head on at 50 MPH. Thank heaven, she is ok, I dont know about the guy who hit her. It is amazing she wasnt killed. Both cars are totaled of course. I am just happy she is ok.
What a day, hopefully tomarrow will be better for everyone.

hope you guys all had a good day today.
The weekend is here:banana: :banana: :banana: :banana:

Shell, being the terrific friend that I am, plus I was glancing at the stylish MM calendar on my desk. I happened to notice that someones birthday is rapidly approaching. Please be on the lookout next Friday a little package should be coming your way and is scheduled for delivery Friday. Enjoy GF

Linda I am loving your scrapbook pages.

Kathy I am glad both you and your daughter are OK. Mike and I are chatting about a quick little trip to the world for Mardi Gras, if he can get off that Monady we may come up for a long weekend, I will let you know.

Pat, glad you and Steve are OK.

Lynn, I love the new pics of Drew, keep em coming.

Cheri, it was good to hear from you, I must stay in contact with my roomies:lmao:

Mutt, where are ya????

Kathy....sorry your day went to heck in a handbasket...I hope things go better for you soon. Glad that Pat and Steve are ok.

Our weathers getting a little ugly too. The windchill as I write this is -7. Actual temp is 15. Our high Sunday is supposed to be anywhere from 6 to 10 degrees. Probably a good idea to bring the brass monkies inside.

My other daughter just contacted me and some kid at school sprayed her in the face with a cleaner he found at school. Luckily it was not too harsh. it go tin her eyes and mouth. The children she works with are mentally and physically challenged kids, so he didnt know any better. The cleaner shouldnt of been there.

Ok everyone, that is 3 strikes today around here. THAT IS ENOUGH!!!
tomarrow will be a great day, after all both daughters and my grandson who was in the car are ok, that is what counts.
Good might everyone,
Kathy

Hello everyone:

I am kind of new to the cruise boards, usually on the Parks and Resorts pages. Our family (me, dw, dd16, dd10, dd8) are thinking of taking this cruise. We have done WDW the past 2 years and are thinking of taking a 7 day cruise this year. DW and I went on a 3 day Carnival cruise about 11 years ago so that is all I have to compare anything to. Any advice or reccomendations would be great. I sent off 2 days ago to DU and AllSeasons for a quote and I am waiting to hear back. I have been looking up cabins and descriptions on the WDWinfo pages. It looks like a cat 3 would have a lot of room for a family of 5, but I don't know how much they are and if any would even still be open now. A cat 4 would fit us but I wonder if it would be crowded for a whole week. I would like to have a verandah but that would require either a cat 4 or 2 cat 5's or 6's.

Anyway, I was hoping for some expert advice from you cruise regulars in making some plans. Thanks in advance and I look forward to getting to know some of my fellow disers on these boards!!!!!

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome: theoswalts
I sure hope you decide to come with us.

We would love to have you.
We have had 4 in a cabin before with no problem. The split bathrooms really help, but with 3 daughters, one being a teen, you may want 2 connecting rooms. That way you have 2 split bathrooms and 2 areas for changing clothes for dinner. Girls can be a bit of a problem in that area sometimes:rotfl2

I have no idea of the prices or if any are left, but it is an idea to think about.
We do have several kids on this board already and one of them is putting together a kids cruise list to help the kids all get aquainted before the cruise on the PM service on this board. I fyou come along we will have to make sure Tiffany gets their information. It is great for the kids to have friends waiting for them on board.

Several of us crusied together last November and have booked again for next november,so we are a fun, crazy group!! We are know as the wild turkeys and dancing banana heads!! We fit the name:rotfl:

We would love to add you and your family to our crazy bunch of crazy bananas:woohoo:

Kathy

... 8:00 a.m. ... 5 degrees ... Guido hates me for making him go outside to pee ... going to start looking for a new job ... in Fla ... or St. Martin ... or the equator

Hello theostwalts! You couldn't have picked a better board to find people willing to share experiences and points of view. It's such a shame that we're all so darn shy ...:lmao:

OK, first of all, to put it all in perspective for you ... Carnival to DCL is like:

* Hamburger to filet mignon prepared by the world's greatest chef
* Jerry VanDyke to Sir Laurence Olivier
* If you watch Trading Spaces, it's the Hildi to Vern
* Milli Vanilli to the Boston Pops
* Michael Jackson 2006 to Michael Jackson 1982
* Gummo to Groucho
* Curly Joe to Curly
* The Pacer to Rolls Royce
* Wrangler to Calvin Klein
* The Cleveland Browns to ANY other NFL team (I'm allowed to do that, I'm in NE Ohio)

Well, you get the picture. Thanks for letting me play this morning :rotfl2: ... good way to start off a very cold day.

Theostwalts party: :welcome: party: We travel with 4 people- 2 of them are teens DS17, DD 15 (would be great if our 2 DD could meet-give them someone their own age). We have been comfy in catagories 10 and 8. But I have to admit my kids are not bathroom hogs-not even teen DD. You really don't spend that much time in your room because there is soooooo much to do.:cheer2:

Agree with Shell...nobody does it like Disney :banana: :banana:

Hey theostwalts! I hope you decide to go with us....you'll absolutely love it.
I knew a few people who did cruises in the 80's/90's and then did one recently. They say its like night and day. Specifically, one of our vendors and his wife went on the "big red boat" and were scared to death to repeat such a horrible experience. They found the Magic to be a fantastic turnaround. As for room/space vs. price and availability, I can't give much advice. Its just me and my wife in a cat.6 so we have plenty of room. Some of our fellow cruise family members have had a cat. 3 so maybe they can share their experience with you (if they can dig themselves out from the arctic freeze they're experiencing).

Anyways... pleased to meet you and look forward to cruising with you.

Have a monkey in advance.....

They'll fall down laughing as I have many times! :rotfl2: Ostwalts this is the first time for myself and my two grandsons to cruise on Disney. But if you LOVE Disney you already know that Disney does everything well. I have no hestitation that there will be more than enough fun! I particularly am going on a Disney cruise this time not only because I trust Disney but it is wholesome entertainment. I have been joining these folks online for a month now and they are a riot!

Very very cold here this morning. STILL snowing! The boys wanted to go sledding to enjoy the snow and now it's too cold! 19 days until we leave for Florida!
