Kathy

The border between Canada and the United States consists mainly of the 49th Parallel. If a Canadian airliner were to crash exactly on the parallel, in which country would the survivors be buried? (If you think about this for more than five seconds you have been taken in!)

You don't bury survivors:)

This is the first one I could figure out. My brain is just not the quick.

On a totally different note. I need your help. I was reading some trip reports and people have mentioned they got tickets for Wine Tasting, Galley Tour, etc. When I went Nov '05 we just showed up for the Galley Tour no tickets. What activities do you need tickets for? How do you know you need tickets? I was looking on some navigators and didn't see anything about getting tickets. I am really interested in the cooking classes and of course the Martini Tasting and just need to know if I should send my husband to get tickets for these activities while I wait in line for Palo reservations. I know I have plenty of time but just one less thing to worry about. Thanks for your help...Hey can I say tickets one more time. I just re-read my post Wow I'm rambling.

Kathy, you're playing with our brains!

Becca, what's your subject, and how close are you to being done? (Getting a PhD is one of the entertainments I'm contemplating for my retirement.)

Brandie, we'll have it tomorrow - if it's bad, i'm not going in!

Happy Day, All!

Linda,

I'm a doc student in audiology with 3 years left. :cheer2: I have the distinct title(s) as being the oldest in my group AND the one with the most kids. Thank goodness for strong coffee.

Good morning Christine,

Hey you got it right!! :thumbsup2 Now you can be the next one to post a joke or riddle for the rest of us to solve.

well I know when we did the galley tour we needed a ticket. just go to the guest services desk and ask for them. The only reason they do this is for timing. There is only a couple of hours they can use when the kitchen area is free, so all the tickets have a date and time on them. every 5 minutes a new tour starts.
If people just showed up they would have a long wait, they would block up the atrium while waiting, it just would be a mess. When we went it was written in the navigator to get tickets.
When i go next month on the Wonder I will check it out. It should be the same on both ships.
I dont know about the wine tasting, we havnt done that before.
If the cooking classes you are referring to are the Art of Entertaining series, you do NOT need a ticket to do that. Just show up in Studio Sea. It is a great series, I do it everytime!!
If you make a gingerbread house, you will need a ticket. Again just ask the first day at guest services desk for it.:goodvibes

Well it is Friday, who has plans for the weekend??
no plans here it is suppose to be rainy all weekend.:sad2:

Kathy

Hey, I'm here

If people just showed up they would have a long wait, they would block up the atrium while waiting, it just would be a mess.

That's exactly how it was when I did it. Huge line in the atrium and they took a group of 20 every 5 minutes. Some people on the end of the line weren't able to do the tour. Thanks for the info. Now I can stop obsessing about tickets and worry about something else:confused3

Kathy, I am so bad at riddles, I'll let you give the next one...I don't know any.

This weekends plans include lots of shopping. Have coupons will shop:rotfl: Hey you have to spend money to save money...right. Time to get a new spring wardrobe. On Sunday afternoon I am going to a friends B-day. Other than that not much else planned.

Have a good weekend everyone:banana:

TTFN:banana:

Hi Christine,
glad someoneis around.

Ok I posted the next riddle, just remember, you asked for it!

You can spin, wheel and twist, but this thing can turn without moving. What is it?

Good luck with this one,
Kathy

Sorry for being missing in action. Kathy - thanks for the note. I have just been crushed with work. This month I am transitioning away from my largest (but most annoying) client and transitioning to an even larger (and much friendlier) client. So this month I have had to finish up everything with the old while starting up all the new. Add to that I got called in on a 2 week crisis project that consumed a lot of time too. PLUS I am going to NYC next week with a buddy for the Big East Basketball tournament. This is the first year I've gone without tickets in hand so I have been obsessed with trying to find tickets (i think I have...but I still need some luck so send the pixie dust my way)

Everyone in my house is doing well. The snow is melting. The sun was out today. We booked our trip to WDW for Memorial Day weekend. Pat (U2Pixies) if you are out there, I know that Elizabeth would love it if we could figure out a way to get her and Stacey together. We come in on the 25th and home on the 29th. Right now we are set to stay at the VWL but hoping for an opening at BCV. Kathy maybe you can join us too.

That's what's new in our world. Still haven't found a decent airfare for our November cruise but hope springs eternal. My best to everyone!

jeff

Howdy jeff,
I am relieved to hear everyone is ok. Your DD had so many times she was ill that I was afraid she might be sick again, and that was why we hadnt heard from you.

Here is some pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: to help you get some tickets!!

Any guess for the riddle posted earlier or am I going to have to give up the answer??
Wendy you got the first one quickly, this one should be just as easy.
here it is again in case you missed it.

Kathy

It's noon and I'm still all aone here:sad1:

I need a

boo hoo!!

Kathy

Here's a summation of my day:

1. New fridge died. We just bought in last June. It will be the 2nd time getting fixed; the first time (when we got it home and it didn't cool) took 5 weeks. Wanna lay bets on this fix? Repair guy can't come til March 15th. Don't buy -ANYTHING- from LG. The internet has no good reviews for their customer service, and I can say firsthand they're all true.

2. My little/only brother ships out to Marine Boot Camp on Monday. My mom is -not- happy.

3. My mom graduates from college in Little Rock, Arkansas, the week before (if all goes well) my brother graduates from Marine Boot Camp (in San Diego). She -finally- will get her well deserved Bachelor's at the end of May... Gavin graduates the first week of June. I haven't told my hubby how expensive tickets, et al, will be yet. He's going to hit the roof this time for sure.

4. It's snowing. Again.

5. The "team" lunch for work is rescheduled. Again. For snow. Again.

Yeah... so... Plans for this weekend: We'll be swapping the garage fridge with the "new" stainless steel fridge... that weighs an absolute TON and can't fit through the front door without everything being taken apart.

I joked with my mom that the universe just loves balance. For my good luck the other day, I'm gonna get creamed by karma. :rotfl:

I have no idea on the riddle. It's a good thing hubby is bringing home dinner. I'm toast! :faint:

Brandie

Oh, and a good lottery ticket, before the hubby gets home, wouldn't be bad! :lmao:

Brandie
