WOW,
you sure got a lot of snow!!
Florida gets some snow each year during December but it magically disappears as it hits the ground at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

I love to watch it snow, but hate to drive in it.:scared:

Kathy

Good Morning Everyone,

Looking forward to lunch with the granddaughter (oh, and my daughter). We'll swing and play until nap time.

Jaime, we've had that much snow before but not in a few years. (knocking on wood)

Dawn :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Jaime-Jacob would love some snow like that. I can't imagine........we had a blizzard in like 1980 or somewhere around there and people still talk about it. It was only about 1/2 that much............problem is here, because we don't get it that often DMV and other utility companies really can't handle it. Forget the neighborhood streets. No cleaning from the city there............

Where is everyone this morning? You know what Brit does when she gets lonely..............she goes tanning:lmao:

i thought you were going to work! :rotfl2:

I have to head to a meeting with a designer then a new client meeting. Woo hoo.

Here's a question for everyone:

If you work outside the home, what do you do?

I dont' work outside the home as my office is in my home. :rotfl2: But I have my own Public Relations and Writing consultancy. Started my own business about 2 years ago (on the 17th of this month) after 25 years of corporate drudgery. Best thing I ever did.

Morning gang! :goodvibes At least I got on last night so I didn't have to read through 7 pages to catch up this morning.

It's been a REALLY rough week here at work so I am SO glad it's friday. There is one person here who likes to make my life a living &*!!

So hang with me you guys and help me get through one more day!!

Jaime- That is so funny! I knew you would be the next one to post! Where do you live in Canada again? I've only been to Canada once, to Winnepeg when I was in high school. We marched in a band competition there. Yes... band nerd. I was one of the girls up front in the skirts carrying the banner.

Yeah...they actually do a great job here with the snow...they keep the roads fairly clear...lots of salt which is not good on cars though...we lived out west for a while...winter driving was horrible out there even though the barley had snow...they just didn't bother to clear any of the side roads...

i thought you were going to work!

I did finally make it to work:lmao: I'm just not being productive.

I'm an Office Manager for two Construction Companies. I work part time for both which works out great because I still get a day off and I can make more working for two companies than one and they don't have to have someone full time..............I've worked 14 years at one company and 2 for the other. One day though, I would really like to work in the travel industry which is what my degree is in:confused3

When I lived in north east and north central Iowa the snow and cold were much worse. But here in the Omaha area it's really not too bad. I've lived here for 10 years now and they do get snowstorms occasionally, but nothing compared to what we got up further north.

Kim- we're kind of in the same industry because I work for a building association.

I live Newfoundland...a long ways from Winnepeg...I have never been there...we have our own time zone:goodvibes

Morning!

Here's what I do: I make full color glossy magazines for the Omaha area builders. We do 4 magazines a year. My largest magazine that I do is for our Spring Parade of Homes and is usually around 200 pages. We also feature new products and have articles.

My title is Graphics and Publications Director. I do them all with the assitance of a marketing person. My husband takes a lot of the photographs, although we do have another photographer that we use as well.

But, as I noted earlier, we are in talks to have me come home and work in our photography studio. I would process photographs, do marketing pieces and help with photo shoots. And maybe even evenutally learn to do some shooting myself.

We added the studio on to our garage. This past year was the first full year with it functional, although he has been in business for about 6 years now.

Here's a question for everyone: If you work outside the home, what do you do?

I'm a marketing manager for a developer/construction/property management company. However, I also kiss up to Jeff so he will freely distribute my resume to his clients :rolleyes1

I'm going to have to look on the map. I have no clue:confused3
But it's fun to know where people are at!

Yes... band nerd. I was one of the girls up front in the skirts carrying the banner.
I'm a band geek, too! Marching band, symphany, 2nd chair clarinet. I never challenged for 1st chair because I didn't want to sit on the end. :rotfl2: (believe it or not, there was a time I hated drawing attention to myself).

Gee Shell, I could probably distribute that as well.........However, I feel confident it would require a move to Va Beach:rolleyes1

Mel-We have here what we call Home-A-Rama. As a matter of fact, I'm going tonight. After margaritas of course......I work for commercial contractors though. Developers are notoriously SLOW to pay:lmao:

Isn't that weird how some of our jobs are inter-related?
