That reminds me, I saw the "Little Black Book of Cocktails" and thought of you. I was gonna pick it up, but couldn't get it fast enough. Do they sell cocktail cookbooks to minors at Boarders?

I couldn't get any information about what was going on where the north wing was but I did find out that The Concourse Steakhouse is NOT leaving the Contemporary but that it is just moving and cannot be called the same name because duh it won't be on the concourse. I believe they said it would be called The Waves.

I have been wondering about the changes. We stayed at the CR on our first family trip and had a blast. We really like it there. BTW, I see you are from MI. Staci is from Davidson and has been down here about 17 years. She says she really does not miss the winters. She still has family there.

Is this your first cruise ever? This is our first Disney cruise and we are so excited - if you haven't cruised before, you'll love it, DCL or not!! It is great to know that other kids Lily's age are going - I think she is going to love the kid's programs. Nice to meet you!!

Hi Jen...nice to meet you too...aren't the nana heads GREAT! Me & dh cruised on NCL Seas back in 1999 from Houston...thought it was okay but have to say I am expecting and hoping for a much better cruise on the Magic! It's our first family cruise and our close family friends are cruising with us too they have two ds's ages 4 & 6...it's their first cruise...

How was everyone's weekend?

We decided to put our dd's in dancing...I was so impressed that our youngest stayed in the class the whole time without me! That means I have hope for the kids clubs on the cruise...she can be so shy! She is so exicted about the kids clubs though...and can't wait to see Mickey! He is all she talks about you'd think he was a rockstar

Hi all..welcome to all our new nanas...

Well, the good news is my mom is coming along-still with therapy at the nursing facility-plan to see the neurosurgeon Oct 4th - hopefully her fractured neck will be healing appropriatley!!

The bad news...my dad had another stroke He had his first one 5 years ago that left his right side paralized..this new stroke has taken his speech and swallow abilities away from him Hopefully with some speech therapy he will regain these functions back.

Probably won't hear from me for a bit--Kathy, please have mercy and keep the whip away for awhile...I'll have Joshua double up posts

Okie, our prayers and wishes for strength are with you! Don't forget yourself in all of this, your family will need you at the end of this time...You are lucky to have such a strong and loving family, lean on them for your own sake!
The strep bug seems to be moving off for a while, Kayla is up and heading to school and Rachel is not great but I bummed a couple of antibiotics from Kayla's prescription and hopefully that will do the trick.just call me doctor judy
Off to school then home - no plans for the afterschool time- hope it stays that way!

(Kathy, you're our resident expert...have you EVER heard or seen anyone refused passage because of illness? I just wonder how far they would go if --- would it take a few sniffles while standing in line or would you REALLY have to be looking like the icy hands were closing in around you?) just curious.

Hope you will post a few more over the next few days. It still give us our Disney fix even though it isnt a cruise, we LOVE all things Disney!!!

Did you do the Pirates ride? How did you like the few changes they made?
Did you see the Philharmagic show? You have probably seen it before but I love it. I love Donald anyway.
I thought the new Monster Inc laugh club was cute but not a big deal. It will be different everytime which is good. I like audience participation attractions like that.
Now I am waiting for the Huanted Mansion to re-open. They are adding alot to it without taking away anything from what I read.

Thank goodness we are cooler this week, only mid 80's which is so much better than upper 90's everyday. I am so tired of the extreme heat.

I have only read once where a family was denied because 2 kids threw up while waiting to checkin an dthey had fevers too.

Our DD wasnt feeling well once and looked aweful but no fever or vomiting so she went but she sat down and relaxed while we checked us in. Only one person to check everyone in the last few cruises so they didnt know she didnt feel well. she pretty much stayed int he cabin the first evening so not to expose everyone but she was well the next morning. she thinks it was just no sleep and a 7 1/2 hour plane trip that gave her a bad headache.

I have had a cold before and not been denied passage. I think unless they could prove you had a fever so you were contagious they would have a hard time denying you passage.

I have seen lots of people sneezing and coughing all over the terminal but everyone got to board ok. I think the flu is what they are concerned about not colds. after all they couldnt prove if you had a cold or allergies which are NOT contagious.

If anyone is feeling off, just sit down and smile while one person checks you in. They'll never know with as crowded as that terminal gets. but do me a favor, don't shake hands with me at the meet

Last cruise we had several who caught a nasty flu virus. Remember Bob??

Jeez Shell, you are really good at producing guilt! Someone referred to the 'lurking' and I just hate being associated with that word "lurking" even if it is really true. Sorry I have been keeping up with all of the posts but not adding any of my own. I promise though that now that we are coming with the 2 month mark, I becoming unable to handle the excitement and will need to post as an outlet.
I have seen that there are 3 DS birthdays from 11/23 to 11/25 and the three boys are all turning 10 or 11, mine included. That will be fun.
My DS and I will try to get to the gathering with everyone. We are planning to get to the port early and have lunch on board so we should have plenty of time even if I have to drag him out of the pool!
Excursions - we are doing only one, the Golden Eagle Catamaran in the morning. Anyone doing the early one? Otherwise we are on our own for exploring.
Well, thats enough for right now, I don't want to over do it on one post!! I will try to do better over the next 65 days or so!
