Sharon, what a cutie! The girls better be ready in a "few" years! :rotfl2:

Kathy-You're in luck with the topiaries. Disney Shopping has artificial ones. I have two in my backyard that light up. We keep them by the pool. Of course when anyone comments about how much time they must take, I just nod and smile............:lmao:

Great first day of school picture. I remember Jacob's first day of school and I did cry. Now, he's getting ready for his first day of 4th grade. I don't know how I let that happen..............I told him the other day; "I said, you have to let me hug you all I want now because one day will be the LAST day I can pick you up and we won't even know when it happens................" He was like great mom, thanks for the downer:rotfl: But still, it's true.

Glad Jackson is feeling better. It's alway worse in the mornings and evenings.

Kathy - The topiaries aren't difficult at all to maintain. No watering, no pruning, not even a minimum number of sun hours per day. I just took them out of the box, plopped them into a container filled with some foam blocks and dirt, filled in around the bottom with some moss and voila! Instant Disney fix complements of disneyshopping. Faux is the way to go!! The topiaries turn a lot of heads as people go by in the neighborhood, especially when they made their debut this spring. They make me smile every time I pull into the driveway.

Is anyone thinking of rebooking onboard?

I'm hatching a plan where I will rebook onboard for 2009.
DH & I decided this coming year is going to be a "down" year without a real expensive vacation (just camping ones:hippie: ).

So my plan is to possibly rebook for November 2009. Jackson will be 3 1/2 so old enough for the clubs by then.

Photo of the day. This is people snorkeling at the reef at Channukab Park in Cozumel.

Yep, we did last year and will again on this one for our '08. If I remember correctly, we got a 10% cabin discount and maybe $100 in shipboard credits. But, you may not be able to book out for 11/09, so you'll just pick a fake date then change it once the dates become available that you want.

We'll be booking onboard. We did it last year and on the previous cruise. On the previous one, we chose a 4-day cruise for a June 06 date that we actually evolved into the bananahead 06!

Congratulations on your first day of high school Sarah!!! It's been a million years ago for me :rolleyes1 but I still remember how exciting that is!!

I'm thinking of rebooking a May 09 Western Cruise. I have heard May is a really good time to sail. That will be my last vacation until the big one in Sept 2010.

Picture of the Day (Random shots of the water from our balcony...sorry kinda boring):

I really hope to have a balcony some day:cloud9:

I know what Mutt's gonna say about that last one...

Nope...ya don't! Its moving water in the evening. Not enough light and either too slow a shutter speed, too wide an apeture or film thats too slow.
You cant break the laws of reciprocity, just ask Chris...

I still think it was an orb.... maybe Walt himself! (I believe, I believe).

Don't take all that camera stuff too seriously....I haven't taken a photography class for over 20 years and I sucked at it even then (did I get it right?)

Oh yeah....wtg on your first day, Sarah! It gets easier as it goes along.
And I love ocean shots....it brings me back.

Like I would know... I'm just learning that stuff myself! He's been teaching me how to use his cameras. But he has to repeat himself a lot because I do a lot of forgetting in between lessons. Brain damage due to my advanced age. :rotfl:

I sometimes edit photos and do graphic design (I design magazines related to the home building industry for a living....)

Nope none of the above. I had a few too many drinks and thought it would be cool to take picture of the water because the ship was really swaying that night...or maybe it was just me :teeth:

OMG...I hated the first day of High School. I was so scared that I wouldn't know anyone (I went from Catholic School to Public School). Of course it all worked out OK and I would give anything to be that young again...well maybe not that young but younger than I am now:banana:

In that case I'm really glad you didn't lose your camera.:lmao:

Yeah... I wouldn't go back to high school...but maybe college...

Josh,
did you know there is a total lunar eclipse tomarrow morning. i think it is at 5 to 7 a.m.?? . They told us to look to the western sky for a red moon tomarrow morning.

Pretty quiet around here tonight.

Thankyou ladies for the info for the real and artificial topiaries. I am seriously thinking of tryng a real one and if it goofs up i will go to artificial ones. they would look great around the pool since we have disney characters painted on the deck already.

Kathy

First Mars close up tonight, and now lunar eclipse? This is an astronomer's dream!

Sarah, congrats on first High School day. It will get lots easier, if it seems hard to travel. Our school is ALWAYS congested. :headache:

Christine-Here is the only wedding photo I could find that would scan well and had the castle. I think getting married again would be an excellent idea (if for nothing more than the portrait package)

Congrats on your first day of HS Sarah!!!!!!!! I thought the boys improved greatly in HS. Sorry mom.............

Well, school for us doesn't start until next week. Jacob received his first homework assignment today via E-MAIL. Can you believe that? He wasn't thrilled to say the least. He has to observe the eclipse tomorrow and write about it. He was alright with that part until he found out he has to be outside at 4:15 am:lmao: I told him to let me know how it goes for him.........

I'll check back in later. Guess everyone is eating, I'll catch up on my TIVO.

Hey, has anyone heard from Dawn since she got back from WDW? I haven't seen her post lately. Did I miss something? I hope she and the boys are alright.
