Hello and goodnight everybody! Busy day here. Fought a migraine all day today that started sometime in the middle of the night last night. Still pounding strong. After work, took Tyler to buy fireworks, did a bunch in front of our house, went to see the real fireworks, tried to pretend I was having fun despite the jackhammer in my head. Did enjoy lying on a blanket together watching people do their own fireworks while waiting for dark to come so the real ones would start. Poor Tyler must have seen the telltale signs of my migraine because although I tried my hardest not to let him see how miserable I was, he kept saying, "Lie down Mom, rest your head" and leaning over to kiss my forehead, giving me his stuffed animal, etc. Before we left for the fireworks he said, "Mom, you lie down for a few minutes and I'll get packed to go" and he got 2 blankets, folded them, got 2 bottles of water and a bag of pretzels to take for a snack while waiting for the fireworks to start, etc. And to think I was wanting to strangle him just last week! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Happy 4th everybody! Gonna try to get to sleep while my head is still at a mild pound. :headache:

Thanks! We had some rain come through overnight and after that my migraine went away. It's crazy, but after somebody at work pointed out to me that some people's migraines are linked to weather, I started keeping track of it and sure enough, when I get a whopper of one, a day or no more than 2 days later there's a change in weather. Crazy, huh?! People have told me the change in pressure in the air does that, sort of like how people with arthritis can tell you a day or 2 ahead of weather change. And my dad's dog used to act squirrelly the day before a storm and the vet said it was the same reason. Strange! But whatever the reason, my migraine is gone!

We slept until 9:30am!!!! Tyler tried waking me up at 6am, but I told him just lie down with me for a minute and fortunately he fell back asleep for 3 1/2 more hours. :woohoo: We never sleep this late!

The parade starts in a little over an hour, so we're headed out soon! :yay: Have a great day everybody!

I get headaches before rain too.... most folks attribute it to pressure and how it affects the sinuses. Usually some sinus meds clear it up.

that'll be five bucks....

Thanks for the birthday wishes folks and yes, I am jumping out of my skin..but not as much as the two little people in the house. I still need to pack and we have to put together all the carry on stuff. Up and at em very early tomorrow as we have an 8 a.m. flight to dallas..then a 2 hour layover and an 8 hour flight  to Maui.

Have a great fourth everyone.

Thanks! You're lucky. The only thing that helps my migraines is taking Excedrin every 2 hours about 5 or 6 times in a row. And even then, that's just to get it down to a dull throb that's tolerable enough to at least get through the day and stop the spots in my vision enough to drive myself home from work or wherever I may be. :sad2: No fun. But I take a daily med to prevent then and because of that only get the migraines about twice a month. I can definitely handle that!

We had spaghetti. I LOVE BBQ, but don't have a grill. Wouldn't know how to cook it anyway (don't know how to use a grill at all) and Tyler won't eat it, so it would be silly to go through all the hassle for just me. But I should have gone to Smokey Bones BBQ if I had thought about it! Hmmmmm......maybe I'll treat myself after work tomorrow because Tyler will be with his dad. :thumbsup2 Yeah! That's a plan! :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for the fine welcome!! Happy 4th of July to the Americans among us (that's probably most of us isn't it..?)

We feel at home already.. :)

Welcome Sue and Family!

We also stayed at the Hyatt at the airport last year and loved it. Hotel was great. very convenient and easy. and you just drop your bags outside your room in the AM and they are whisked away on a DCL bus along with you and your family.

Great to have you!

Jeff

Jeff - I was wondering, what time does the DCL bus come in the morning to take us to the dock? Is there a way we can arrange this if we're not booking flights with Disney (but only want to book the transfer)??

Thanks for the handy information!

We're thinking of staying near the port instead of near the airport.. can't decide... any one done the port hotels..? We haven't booked our flights either *yikes*..

:) I'm so glad we'll be 'officially' meeting on the ship - gonna look forward to know people early on in the cruise.. we're such newbies  it will be good to meet with clever, experienced people..!!

Hugs!
Sue

p.s. is anyone else a scrapbooker/stamper?

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July.....I...as usual....ATE TOO MUCH:mad:

We are under Tornado watches until 10 pm tonight....we don't get that warning very often here in Pa...it scares me :scared1:

EEEEK....More thunder...my dog is about to pass out from fear

Have a great night......
