I will tell Trey HI. He is working soccer tonight while I take the kids to play baseball. Hunter's team will get spanked this evening but he still loves to play ball. We are going to St Louis this weekend to see a MLB game. Barry Bonds may hit the record this weekend. We could me millionaires if we catch the ball. Ya right.....

The packing ISN'T going. We are 15 days away from the cruise and I still haven't packed anything nor have I pack a darn thing at the house for this move. The closing was suppose to be on Friday, at this point we might close around Labor Day with all the things going wrong. I want to know what I did to deserve this. he he Other than those two things, life is great. Everyone is healthy and working while others are on summer vacation and being bums.

Love ya all. TTYL.

Hey all ... check your e-mail for the updated Cruisemate List! If you're reading about it here and not seeing it in your inbox, it's because I don't have your e-mail address! Feel free to PM it to me.

...too....hot....to...type....115....today.....

Yes, I know I live in the desert but when it's 100 at 7am you know it's going to be a bad day. In a way this is kind of like our winter, we get in the car with the A/C on, we run into the house with the A/C on, we have all windows and shades closed so not an ounce of sunlight gets in:cool2: we try to spend as little time as possible outside, even the dogs don't like being out there.

I finally have some pictures from my cruise in May:

YIKES -- 115!!!!!  "But it's dry heat. . .":rotfl: :rotfl: The humidity is returning to our area, but at least we aren't having the extremes like they are in other parts of the country.

Christine -- great pictures!:thumbsup2

Shell, what was our post goal last year?? Was it 6000 before the cruise?:confused3 I suppose we'll come up with some crazy number like 9000.:rolleyes1 Thanks for the new cruise list!

Melanie - :thumbsup2 for your son's cap. Go Huskers!

Well, back to work. . .who has exciting plans for the 4th???

Cheri

Just finishing up the packing stuff - or in my case...just getting started with it. and tomorow is my b'day but like Kathy, I'm ready to start heading the other way! :rotfl2: Hope everyone has a Happy Fourth!

YIKES -- 115!!!!! "But it's dry heat. . ."

That's true...there was only 2% humidity yesterday so no bad hair day:scared1: but man...it's still hot. They are expecting us to hit 117 tomorrow and that's just at the airport. We are usually 2 or 3 degrees hotter, so we may hit 120. Since I have lived here the hottest it got was 121...yes, you can cook an egg on the sidewalk:lmao:

Wow......what a shame, Jeff. Shell and I were ACTUALLY thinking about getting you a vacation to Hawaii for your birthday but ya went and got it yourself. Maybe next year. HAPPY BIRTHDAY anyways....that has to be a fantastic feeling....Birthday tommorow....Maui the next day...life is good.

I'm glad SOMEONE finally noticed my new avatar and tagline...

Hope everyones day is going good. Most of us get a day off tommorow....WOOHOO.

talk to everyone later~

6000 sounds about right. I'd have to go through the old board to figure it out, and that would probably take forever! Course, I'm sure Kathy has it written down somewhere!

Anyone else notice that Jeff is getting just a weeeeee bit anxious now that he's so close to Maui Maui Maui?? :lmao: So Jeff ... are you gonna spill what birthday this is for you? I mean, your real age?:rotfl2:

Christine: I love Vegas, but dang ... 120 is just a little on the ridiculous side! Great pics, though. Just keep referring to them and imagine that fresh sea air!

Tonya, do you want me to come over and help you start packing? :rolleyes1

Yah sure. Just don't know what to pack since I don't know how long I will be living out of a box. :) My MIL offered to let us live with her until we find a house. I would rather not. I politely said no, but thank you.

Hey WOO:

What time does the Wonder pull into Nassau and what time do they dis-embark? I know that you were on there a couple years ago. Just thought you might remember.

thanks.

Anxious, Me? What are you talking about? :dance3: :cheer2: :yay: :cool1:

Into Nassau at 9:30, leave at 7pm.

It's been along time...but I still think about everyone! When I received Shell's e-mail today, I said to myself that I HAVE to post. Thanks Shell again for the work you put in.

I got in to the posts just in time to read about the passports. Surprisingly, I called the Dept of State today! It will be 13 weeks since our submission of our applications! I was more concern over the guardianship papers I had to submit with the apps. Both boys will attend new schools this fall and who knows what they'll request. The agent said that he would expedite the passports for no extra charge but to call back on Friday to make sure that they were expedited!

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer! Dawn

Okay, I'm late to the party.
But you cannot imagine how THRILLED I am to have found a group of people going on the 24th November 2007 EASTERN CARIBBEAN CRUISE!!!!
WOWWEEEEEEEEEE!

So, little introductions, I'm Sue. I have a DD who will be three when we take the cruise. There's just gonna be three of us, staying in Cat. 5 room on Deck 7 (anyone else?).
As you can imagine we're just really excited - and we only booked it last weekend! SOOOO cool.

We live in Canada, but we're originally from far away (Norway and Singapore) and this will not only be our first trip on a CRUISE but our first trip to FLORIDA. We just decided to jump right in with the cruising to the 7-day one, since we just really wanted to have Tea with Wendy, and all the other fun stuff you get to do on the Magic that you won't get on the Wonder.

I'm really looking forward to meet all of you!!

Just some questions:
Anyone else flying directly from Toronto? Or anyone arriving in Port Carnaveral the night before?
To all you seasoned cruisers, Any suggestions on where we should stay when we're in Port Carnaveral?
Do we already have a 'formal' meet up on the ship so we can get to meet everyone in person??
Anyone else with a 3-year old (or similar age group) coming on the cruise here?

THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!! I'm SO glad to know some people we're going to be cruising with.. such an adventure already!

Hugs - and happy 4th tomorrow!
Sue in Toronto

I see you found the thread... you will get so much information from Disboards so fire away- there is nothing we enjoy doing more than talking about the cruise. I have always stayed at the Radisson and taken the shuttle but this year we are going early ( the 21st is my birthday) and we have rented a house for a few extra days before the cruise. I am cruising with teens but several people have little ones so truly, there are no "dumb" questions- fire away Sue!!!!

:welcome: SUE AND FAMILY!!! :welcome: Kathy is our official "welcomer" but she's slacking off on a Carnival cruise this week, so let me be the first to congratulate you on being a Banana Head! I'll send you a PM shortly with information about our Cruisemate List.

Well, first things first ... A bunch of us cruised together last year and at that time, we had our own Canadian Banana Heads that came in from Toronto, but they're not joining us this year :sad1: (Miss you, Sarah!).

My DH (cruisemutt) and I will most likely be staying at the Cape the night before the cruise. We haven't really picked a hotel yet (shoot, I haven't even booked a flight!) so I can't give you any pointers on that, but I'm sure others can. Cheri & Bill (PGFOUR) are staying at the Hyatt at the airport, which they did last year and loved it for the convenience. The DCL bus picked them up there on Saturday morning and took care of the luggage, so that's another option for you.

In 2006, we had an official meet at 2:45 pm on embarkment day, which worked out really well since we were scattered all over the ship throughout the rest of the week and I think it would have been impossible for us to get together any other time. I think we're planning on doing the same this year.

We have lots of kids coming (as you'll see on the cruisemate list). I know that Jeff & Mina (JD99) have a 3yo girl in our group, but that's all I can remember right at this moment.

OK, enough from me! Now others can chime in, too!!

Welcome Sue and Family!

Shell is right, we have a three year old girl who will be nearly four when we cruise. We are hoping she likes the Club because on the last cruise she was still at Flounders and loved that...so we hope there is no change in her attitude so that we can still have a wee bit of alone time again. We also have another DD who will be 9 when we cruise.

We also stayed at the Hyatt at the airport last year and loved it. Hotel was great. very convenient and easy. and you just drop your bags outside your room in the AM and they are whisked away on a DCL bus along with you and your family.

Great to have you!

Jeff
