11/22/08 Thanksgiving 2008 cruise thread. Double Dipping Travelling Turkeys!

I had already ordered my FE gifts but I know I should have a few extras for those that joined recently. Can't believe we're about a month away - wholy cow!! I feel like I should start packing but we're still with hot weather - can't pack up the shorts just yet! We did get luggage tags for Disney Magical Express for one leg of our transportation - small envelope but exciting to get cuz it means we're getting that much closer!!!!!!!

One of the things I'm most excited about is seeing your FE!! I know simple minds, simple pleasures, but a mermaid FE with sequins, I'm just sure it will rival the most priceless piece of artwork.

It's not the whole mermaid. Just from the waist down!
And I did attach lights yesterday. When you see her, flip the switch and turn her on!!!!!!
I can't tell you how much fun I had making her. I laughed through the whole process! It started out innocent enough and turned into something I could have never imagined.

Well we kinda cheated on the crafty FE this year...we had one custom made so it will be crafty, but not made by us as we are definitely not very good at being crafty....hopefully it arrives soon

Don't know that you would call mine "crafty". A bit gaudy perhaps!

I have a question for everyone that has been at CC since the arrival of Davy Jones' pirate ship. How close can you get to it if you rent a boat? Can you pedal a water tryke out to it? Can you snorkle to it? It was brought in after the last cruise we did in '05 so I'm anxious to see it.

I have a question for everyone that has been at CC since the arrival of Davy Jones' pirate ship. How close can you get to it if you rent a boat? Can you pedal a water tryke out to it? Can you snorkle to it? It was brought in after the last cruise we did in '05 so I'm anxious to see it.

If I have time i will try to upload my pictures. You cannot Snorkel to it. You are not that close to it if you stand on the shore at the photospot.

Now I did a Kayak and you are still not close enough to jump on, but you can see a lot including how it is secured in so to speak I won't ruin the "Magic" for anyone so if my pictures show any of the "movie magic" I will not post them.

I have a question. I am taking a break from grading papers and was going to finish working on my FE List. I am just organizing it by deck and color coding boys and girls to make it easier for my journey's. I am adding everyone without an assigned room in a way that I can drag and drop them onto the right deck list.

Is there anyone who plans on hanging an FE who is not on the website list. I noticed one more since I printed it off so I figured I would "broadcast" here so that I can make sure I correctly added all the groups.

Thanks for helping and indulging in my form of organization....or is it procrastination of getting my work done.

I feel your pain! It can't be as bad as having to sit through all of the Pokemon movies! We had to do that when Ian was little. Tim and I took turns and it was truly punishing.

As a mother of three girls you know I'm going to be watching it! The question is whether I need to see it with the older one first and then decide if it's ok for the two younger ones. I hadn't really given it much thought but some of the people at work were asking if it wasn't going to be "more racy" since it's in the theater, etc. My initial response was hey it's Disney how bad can it be, but then again I don't want to have the five year old seeing (and talking about) things that are too old for her. So for me it may be twice the giggling girly audience experience!!

So glad tomorrow is Friday, have a great weekend everybody!
