Yep too many people were getting in as single and then saying they were with the following. Or biringing kids in and being told the kids would ride alone with a stranger and say OK then get irritated. And it was causing the rest of the stand by line to back up. It was a shame....I think.

When we were at WDW earlier this year the ride had just opened. We gave Mason the choice of the single rider line or not riding at all because the line was over 2 hours. He chose the single rider line. We each rode in separate cars and Mason loved the ride sooo much that we went on again, and again and again!! :thumbsup2 It's a shame that people were abusing the line!!

Lisa I did not realize you guys were here then. Had I known.....I worked the opening of that ride so I could log my hours for the year.....might have had a magic pocket. ;) Plus a good friend was one of the designers

But back to my other vice - World of Warcraft...the patch that sets up for the expansion pack came out today so lots of stuff to do...and that expansion pack hits 11/13, so i am going to fall behind on the cruise, but my laptop will truly be limited to work related email...now if they still had unlimited internet packages....then my wife would kill me if i tried it on the boat.

??:confused3 ??

I just updated the website with Michelle and Teresa's stateroom numbers.

Judy--You take the day off tomorrow. You and me on the DIS, sounds fun. ;)

37 days to DCL,36 days to WDW:banana:

Ken - The Rays did it! I'm crossing my fingers for them! (maybe they could teach the Pirates how to play ball!)

I brought the suitcases up this morning, now I have to pack them!
Have a good day everyone! I'll be home and checking back all day!;)

Judy,
You took the day off for heaven sakes. WHAT TIME DID YOU GET UP????? Don't you ever sleep in woman? I'm only up now because I had to take Kenzie to school. In fact, I don't think Kenna even woke up. I carried her to the van, put her in her car seat, went the 15 monutes round trip, carried her back to her bed. Now it's just me, the 2 cats and the computer. Take a nap this afternoon!!!!

Hey any chance of some Steelers or Pens scrubs around up there? One of my coworkers had Dallas. But down here all you see is Redskins.

Today will be cleaning, finishing Kennas quilt, and maybe some early packing. I've already got my stash of medicines together.

I can be the groups personal nurse, pharmacy and first aid kit. I'll have everything covered.

I made 14 pints of applesauce yesterday with our apples. It was 80 degrees her at 8pm last night. The leaves are changing nicely, and the deer are out and about more.

Sandy--I woke up in the middle of the night last night and thought about the "kitty" any news?

Have a good day everyone.

OK Stacie--Where are you?

Lora

Talk about some differences in packing straategies....we leave for the port on the 21st in the evening (Friday)...thus on Thursday night, Lisa will start packing and probably finish by about midnight...that is it...though we do have the advantage that since the weather here is almost always warm, we don't have to put away summer clothes to make room for winter clothes...but, just remember the adage about packing for a cruise - lay it all out and then put 1/2 of it back...and even that will probably be more than you need.

Hi! Never ever sleep in! I'm up at 5:30 every day.I'm afraid I'll miss something! Lexington gets me up and I'm just on a schedule now. I'll be up and on deck early - probably being chased around by the deck washers!

Our leaves are at their peak right now, and the deer are every where. We have a mother and her triplets that I've been feeding apples and corn to all summer. They're getting so big! The squirrels are crazy and running around getting ready for winter. I tell DH to be careful when he's driving. The squirrels will run in front of the car because they're looking for their nuts. :squirrel: He ignores me, doesn't think it's funny.
Applesauce, yum. You are in apple country. When I would go to Va. in the fall (Warrenton, Winchester - all over Loundon and Fauquier Co. Mosby's Cofederacy) I always brought back at least a peck of apples. I'm going to Erie this weekend to visit my mother and sister and we'll go to the cider mill for apples.
PM me your size and I'm sure I can find at least Steelers scrubs. We have a lot of Pgh sports stores. Penguins stuff is more limited. I think the NHL keeps a tighter rein on their logos. But I'll certainly look for you. I'm going to the mall this afternoon to pay my Macy's bill and I'll check for you then - it's close to the Disney Store too! I know Joanne Fabrics has logo fabric if you're a seamstress! Pens looked good last night!
Yeah Sandy, Did they ever find the cat? Have they noticed left over dead carcasses around? Yuck.

Chuck - I'll probably pack and unpack 2 or 3 times! And you're right, you don't need a lot on a cruise. But I keep thinking, what if I need such and such and it's not with me? I'm a bit OCD about that!

OK Stacie--Where are you?

I don't stumble to the computer until at least 8:00. That might change in March, but right now I'm getting all the sleep I can. DH gets DS up and makes sure he gets off to school. DS comes in and tells me good bye around 7:00. I get DD up at 8:00 then while she's getting ready I DIS. Little DS doesn't get up until at least 9:00 most days.

It rained yesterday like it was supposed to, it's raining again today. School gets out at 1:15 today. Our church has Wednesday night activities after school. Today because of the early out they were supposed to go to the corn maze, I think they might have to cancel, it gets really muddy there.

I have such a limited wardrobe right now packing won't be very hard as long as I don't forget the laundry soap. DH bought a bunch of short sleeve stuff on clearance last weekend so I think I can just throw it right in the suitcase. Big DS and DD will pack themselves. Little DS is no trouble, pretty much scoop out his summer drawer into the suitcase. We did buy him a seat on the plane so he gets a suitcase and a man-bag all to himself.

Good morning all! I have a whole new dilemma to figure out. I had told my DD that if she ended up making JV instead of Varsity for basketball that we could possibly leave on thursday night instead of Friday morning. They have a basketball game that happens to be on the way to the airport on Thursday night. Anyhow, varsity plays after JV,so I was thinking we might be able to catch a flight out of KC after the game to get there one night early. The flight would leave KC at 6:40, and the game starts at 4:00. The game is probably a good 30-40 minutes away from the airport. It might be pushing it.:confused3

Now I'm not so sure if we should do it or not. As for the airfare--it's the same so that's no big deal. However, I'm concerned Brianna will have to leave her game early, we'll have the added expense of another night in the hotel plus the extra day for the car rental. However, it sure is tempting. Any thoughts or advice?:)

I think it would depend on what time you will actually get to WDW Thursday. Early enough to do anything and justify the expense? And how tired will you all be from racing around? Then again, what time do you get in on Friday? If it's later and you'll be missing a lot of the day at WDW, leaving Thursday might be worth it. Boy, that is a dilemma! How does DD feel about possibly having to leave her game early?

So I have some new hours at work 3 days a week I will now have more time to get on and not just read but reply.:cool1:
So on the 21st it's my DH bday. But because he isn't coming this trip we need to celebrate on the 20th, plus make it to the airport at rush hour to pick up fellow traveler Mary. Not to mention we can't be out late as my Dh is up at 3 am for work, and us girls will also be up and headed to the airport by 4 and we fly at 6am.

Two by four
I wish I lived somewhere that we could go through a corn maze. They don't have that here in the desert. Maybe we can find a cactus maze :lmao:

Lora
I want to have a mama deer and her triplets come eat anything in my yard but there isn't much other than a couple bushes and rock. We have a water shortage and front yards are not a good idea anymore.:sad2:

Chuck and Lisa
I usually pack the night before too. This time I may start a couple days earlier as I am feeling the pressure from the obsessive ones here.:rotfl2: I can't pack my summer stuff yet as we still need to wear them. We did just drop 30 deg this weekend but back to the 80s today:woohoo:

Susan
Maybe the coach can let your DD be a starter and then if things don't seem to be done in time they will let her go?:confused3

So my BFF Stacie is pregnant. So I lost one drinking buddy.
Also does anyone know if I am able to bring sharps on the plane? I will be needing to take some injectable meds with me and don't like the idea of putting it with my checked items and they loose my bags:scared1:

We'll have to remember Nurse Lora is on the ship, if anyone gets hurt or sick. :thumbsup2

There hadn't been any news about the lynx, until last night. Here's part of the story.
A Siberian lynx named Simba that went missing at the beginning of the month was found a half a mile away from its home before it got away again over the weekend.

Around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Tina Love, the lynx’s owner, received a call from her daughter’s best friend saying Simba had been found not far from Love’s home and police were on the scene.

Love said she slowly approached Simba until she was half a foot way from the cat and it walked up to her and curled up in her arms.

But that moment didn’t last long.

Love managed to put Simba in the back seat of the police car and sit down with her, but Simba escaped again before the car door was closed.

“When I got her in the back seat, everyone panicked and pushed toward us. That’s when Simba just freaked,” Love said. “She got scared. There were too many people. Everyone was there.”

Yes, you can take sharps on the plane. Bob is diabetic and has never had a problem with his insulin. Also with my allergies, I have an Epipen. Again no issues. However, if it would make you more comfortable, contact your MD's office and have them tpye something up for you. Actually, due to patient confidentiality, TSA shouldn't question you, but depending onthe person who goes thru your bag, you could have an issue. I'm sure your MD's office would have no problem stating that you need it. If they do, just PM me and I'll take care of it for you. You know--Nurse-patient relationship.

Okay, so I went ahead and booked the night of the 20th at WL.:thumbsup2 I'm not getting too excited yet because we might not end up changing our flights. However, the discount on room only at WDW ends the 18th of October, so I wanted to make sure we had the room if we ended up needing it. My DH says to just make a decision and go with it. I think I'll talk to my DD this evening. Of course, I thought she'd be upset when she didn't make varsity because she was a starter in volleyball, but all she said was, "now we can leave for vacation a day earlier". She's just like her mother.:lmao:

Anyway, my family has some things to talk about tonight. We'll make an executive decision tonight (whatever I say goes):rotfl: .

Pixidustmom--I'm sorry you have to find another drinking partner, but I found that part of your post to be hilarious! Too bad you didn't live closer to Kansas. Maybe I could take up drinking.

I forgot to mention that we have a 7 a.m. flight on Friday morning. Therefore, we'll have to be up pretty darn early. The airport is atleast an hour away. I was figuring we'd need to be up by 3:30 or so in the morning, so maybe going the night before would be a better idea. Don't you like how I ask for advice but then sit here and talk myself into it?:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

You know what I say to do - our kids would have a blast on the same flight!:woohoo: But then again - maybe that isn't such a good idea:rotfl:

FORGET ABOUT GETTING UP AT 3AM!!!!!! Sounds like your DD already has her mind made up. I'm not much of a sports person, but if she can be in the beginning of the game perhaps she could leave early. Any chance of her skipping the game at all. Mention that you had to change your days, and/or flights.
