And to Mean Queen I think it was I am super excited because I am going to Food and Wine Saturday with some co-workers and then again on Sunday for girls day out. And a special treat at work this week....the culinary is making the Canadian Cheese Soup using the official recipe...yum. yum!! Today we were talking about all the delicious French deserts and our cheese soup and buffalo.

They didn't have buffalo this year. Instead of Oklahoma, they have Louisiana. So enjoy some good Etoufee, gumbo, and the best praline bread pudding.

Susan's family was fighting over theirs. I know they got one Dopey and one Tink, but I can't remember the other two.

Yes, my children have been fighting over the cards. I've decided that I will carry all of the cards. We have Mickey and it says "Where everyone screams at the sight of a mouse", one is Cinderella as previously posted, one is Tink that says "Where the night is as bright as the day", and the last one is the seven dwarfs with Grumpy in front that says "Where everyone is happy no matter what their name is". Of course, I have to have Grumpy. That's one thing my entire family agrees upon.:rotfl:

Also, Michelle, those meeting rooms that were on deck 2 are now Ocean Quest, though I think there are a couple cabins somewhere down on deck 2 that are used as small meeting rooms. The Wonder still has the full meeting rooms though.

I knew that was what happened to the big meeting room on the Wonder and do you remember the library/game kind of area that used to be there....it was a long time ago. But I know they still have some small rooms that can be used as small offices/meeting rooms.

Okay I need to go look at my special map because I swore Oklahoma was on there. We were looking forward to Buffalo smotherd in creamy onion. Darn....off to look at my map

Well we are doing Vero beach for Veteran's weekend...and yes I have actually been in one of those small conference rooms which is why I suggest another location, anywhere...it would be very tight if you get a good attendance which given this thread, is quite possible.

And I know the Mickey halloween is nice, but, it is no match for Universal's Halloween Horror Nights - though that can be truly scary, but lots of fun.

Good morning! 38 days! And 37 until some of us are visiting the Mouse for the Christmas party!:santa:

Chuck - When I talked to DCL I told them we would have anywhere from 100 to 125 people for the meet and greet. Dorothy said she could accommodate a group of that size. I hope they don't put us in a small room!:scared1:

But then again, when I'm upgraded to the Walt Disney suite we can all meet there. I'm sure they're waiting for the 10 day mark to tell me, they know I love the suspense.:lmao:

Have a great day everyone. I'll check back during work.

Clearly you enjoyed being scared. I went once and that was one time too many.

Lexandme you are so glass full!!! I am sure they are busy changing the name on the door from walt to yours :)

I really, really, really want to see the headless horseman gallop down main street in the Magic Kingdom! I'm not too into being scared. I went to a haunted cornfield thing here a few years ago and didn't like it at all!
We've never been to Universal. I think whenever we're in Fla it's all about the Mouse and I can't leave WDW! There's too much magic.pixiedust: :donald:

I'm sitting at work and I'm listening to the music from "Wishes" on my IPOD. It gives me goosebumps! :wizard: People at work laugh at me. They don't know, do they?:dance3:

Michelle - I don't think DCL would change the name of the WD Suite. If they did it would be "The Hickey Suite"! That's just wrong!!

Well, the DCL prices for 2010 are out. We're looking at three possible dates, March (Spring Break), February (President's Day), and October (end of quarter). The most expensive DCL out of the three was President's Day.

RCL has them beat hands down on all three either on the Freedom or the Oasis.

Decisions, decisions. :confused3

I just went on and got a price for the June 2010, 12 night N. European Capitals cruise for 2 adults and a 17 year old. Cat 11 is $10,115.16. Throw in airfare and that's astronomical! Guess I'll be seeing St. Petersburg some other time,:sad1: without the mouse!

Astronomical for us especially given the relatively weak dollar, but I'd bet the Europeans grab those spots fast given the current strength of their currency.

Still, I would not count us out on trying for it though we are probably more likely to do Adventures by Disney in London-Paris in 2010.

Right now, though, I am trying to iron out where we are skiing this winter, though it will probably be Steamboat.

I'll be skiing down my driveway this winter!

A long time ago, when I was another person, I did a semester in Italy at the University of Perugia (Art History major). I love Italy and would like to sail there too.

Sorry, double post! Oops.

Just back from Food & Wine Festival, MNSSHP & Party for the Senses. :thumbsup2 My buddy noticed the cut backs at F&W/PFTS, but we all still had a great time. I had it nothing to compare it to. She said the dwindled down the programming, but they made the kiosk look nice. We never did try to look up the wine or beer tasting events. The lamb chop at Australia was my favorite. We also like the Louisiana booth - all of it was good. The soup and iced Irish coffee at the Ireland kiosk was yummy. The beef medallion at San Francisco was good - not great, but good. The strawberry shortcake looks better than it tastes. It could be that there are some women that make a mean shortcake in these parts.

Toy Story Mania ROCKS! ::yes:: Buzz will never be the same for us.

We had so much fun at PFTS. Again, my friend commented they used to have large programs outlining the food booths and wines. They've now went to a small two page booklet highlighting the wineries only. It's a little pricey and teeters on the edge of being worth it. No crystal wine glasses to take home anymore either. We got a wine glass still. It just wasn't the nicer glasses they used to give out.

Yes! The headless horseman galloping in was one of the highlights for us at MNSSHP. This was first time we've ever been. Tinkerbell nor the witch flew over during the fireworks. I don't know if it was weather related or they've dropped it.

We just downgraded so we could have two rooms. After a week sharing a room, we decided we'd like to have our own digs. ;) Five in the Cat 4 with 4 of us being adults is just going to be too close for comfort. We're in a Cat 6 and I booked the Cat 12 for MIL/SIL and even my little buck-a-roo. Did anyone notice they have "magical" rates for our sailing? :woohoo: :upsidedow Hopefully, we'll end up on the same floor with each other. :rolleyes1 I was stoked being able to keep the balcony. MIL/SIL are perfectly fine in an inside stateroom. They can always come hang on our balcony if they want. DS will be back and forth between the two rooms.

Good luck to all those trying for a N. Europe cruise. We've decided to go with RCCL. Although I checked online for the WB TA and I thought was very reasonable. ::yes:: The airfare would still put us out of the running and school is in. Hoping for Alaska in 2011. :wizard:

Just watching the DOW. Its not nearly like last week. I'll go down and jump off of the third floor instead of the 6th.

Judy,

Disney is the best by far, but you should give Universal a chance. At least, try City Walk. They have a Margaritaville, A Bob Marley bar, and a Pat Obriens all within stumbling distance. Holloween Horror night is great, a lot of college kids though. We have been going since the first time nearly 20 years ago.

The question is how long did you wait in line or when was the return on your fastpass. The traffic at that ride is huge. It is great though.

We are counting down the days until we go to Food and Wine...cannot wait!
We love the food, but not the prices :thumbsup2

We have three Cat 6 cabins on Deck 5...maybe we will be neighbors.

chuck I want to see you snow ski down your driveway......I'll get you the snow machines from the Celebration snowfall:lmao:

Hang in there Ken. I'm sure the Dow will continue to rebound! Don't take the window yet!
Please tell me all about the Bob Marley bar! You know Marley is one of my heroes and I would give up a day at WDW to visit his bar. Maybe next year at WDW we can rent a car and drive over.Someday I will get to Jamaica to visit his homeland and his home (they have a museum there). Who knows, if this presidentail election is more than I can handle I may move to Jamaica!
