11/22/08 Thanksgiving 2008 cruise thread. Double Dipping Travelling Turkeys!

Hi! I'm here too! We've had a stressful last few days. We have had MAJOR flooding. Our entire farm has been under water. We've been lucky though because our home is okay. However, all of our crops are gone, our dairy barn was completely under water, and our shop with all of our tools and stuff was submerged in water. My DH had to actually use our jet ski to round up cows! It's been crazy!!! Hope everyone is well. We're getting things back together and breathing a sigh of relief that the rain has finally stopped.

Disneypoor...so sorry to hear about your flooding! My thoughts are with you!!

Thank you for all of the kind words! We are starting to get things back together, but it sure is a mess! We're having electrical problems with our dairy barn and our shop now, so my DH is stressed about getting that fixed. My DS made the All Star Baseball team, so we start our tournament this afternoon. Hope everyone is well. Talk soon.

So how was the Parade?

The parade was great! A bit HOT, but we expect that in July. The best part is Ds's high school marching band took first again this year even with a new band director. It was close, but a win is a win.

OK, it's taken me all day to read all 33 pages. I booked the Tday DD a month ago and thought I was way ahead of the game, little did I know. I haven't even reached y'all's league yet. I've posted questions on the regular DCL forum but now I can come back here where the pros are.

Not sure if that was me or not, but I am waiting. I like having control over my ressie without having to go through the TA...but love the extra $$ they offer so I will eventually transfer!

Just bought a bunch of POC stuff at the Disney Store for the family....you know, FOR THE CRUISE!!! Okay, most will be worn out by then......but a girls gotta try!!

I'm glad to hear that. I've bought dd 2 outfits and ds the tiki polo at the Disney store. They are hidden in my closet right now because dh would think it strange to buy clothes 16 months in advance. He just doesn't understand.

I've been shopping ebay ever since we made our reservations for various Disney pins. The only problem is I keep getting ones I know the kids will love. That might cause a problem in trading - little to none they are willing to part with.

We just booked this today! We had booked another date while on board this past May, but decided to switch to this week so DD doesn't miss any school. We have a large group of friends who are supposed to be joining us but right now, here's my cast of characters:

I definitely plan on enjoying that Thanksgiving week to the fullest. I'm already having withdrawals from being off the cruise this past May. I'm so glad to already be planning a new trip. Especially one that gets me out of cooking a big dinner!

You know.....all the planning and excitement....I honestly have never thought about the fact that I don't have to cook T-day dinner....or better yet....I DON'T HAVE TO DO DISHES!!
