11/13/04 Eastern Cruise only We Did It

So how is everyone this fine day?

Not much going on around here, except cleaning and dreaming of our cruise! LOL

I have a feeling John can handle all the MT. Dew we throw at him! :hyper:

Have a great one and I'll check in later!

Welcome lovinlife.

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm beginning to wonder if the Prominade Lounge will be big enough to hold our DisMeet.

I read on another post on the board that there is a group of disers planning on meeting on Deck 10 above the Goofy pool.

Since I have been granted the title of DisMeet Mistress I am asking for your opinions. Do we keep our meet in the Prominade Lounge as previously planned or do we look for somewhere larger.

Keep in mind we look to be about 150 disers deep.

Majority will rule the final decision.

Susan I think it makes sense to move to a bigger area. I'm not familiar with the ship since this is our first cruise, but anything you might suggest is fine with us just let us know where to be! LOL

Susan,
I think DCL should host a special reception for us in Palo's.::yes:: :snooty: :scratchin

WOW!!! I have really missed a LOT!! (I also miss you guys!) I still don't have my computer back  (using DH's)

I can't believe it is sooooo close. Does anyone know when we should start looking for our papers? Also, I should order DH a tux soon.

St. Thomas???? Just wondering if anyone knows what they are doing? I haven't decided. I know I want (notice I stated I...) to go to St. John's this time (last time we did the Dabloon (sp?)-it was wonderful-but I just would love to see St. John). Any help with this would be great!!

John...You are busy!!! WOW, you are going to be bouncing off the wall with that Mountain Dew :bounce: :bounce: (John)...Extra sugar, extra caffine!!!:hyper: :hyper:

I don't want to miss the Dis meet on the ship... where are we meeting and when? I can't wait to put faces with names/dis board names...

there seems to be a pre-dis meet at the Raddisson, I'm in!! Can't wait.

Just thought I would drop in to say hi:wave:

Susan- I really like Jen's idea but realistically we should consider deck 10.

Susan, Not to add to your luggage but, the towels on the ship are standard size. (I couldn't remember if this was your first cruise or not). You may want to bring your aboard if you want bigger towels for after swimming or anything.

Actually, you could be happily surprised with the bath towels. Apparently they are upgrading them....

"You can wrap yourself in an oversized bath sheet once the current towels are phased out and replaced. All linens, towels and bed pillows are being upgraded." ... from Disboards Cruise News

Woo hoo! It's the little things, isn't it?! :):p :wizard:

You sure you can drink this much Mt. Dew in one week?! :earseek:

Vicki, if this tells you anything, he takes 6 12 packs per week with him.

Heather, thanks for the link, we got really excited for the kids when we read it, does anybody know when this stuff actually starts.

Jen, email your picture to Linda or John and he'll make sure it goes on her website.

ATTENTION RADISSON DISERS:goodvibes :goodvibes

I spoke with Shirley, from The Perfect Gift, this afternoon. I told her that we have a DisMeet planned at the Radisson in the pool area around 6:30pm on November 12th, and she said that she would have to stop by to meet everyone.

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

:jumping2: :jumping2: :jumping2: :jumping2:

She is the sweetest person you could ever want to talk too. It was like talking to my grandmother. Like I had known her for years.

Ok DIS'ers. We just got the template for the Lime Green Mickey Head TAG game.

Since we are printing up the majority of the magnetic door signs we will print this out too, and I will cut it out.

John will add the date of our cruise to the bottom of the head and we will start the game.

Whoever gets tagged last can keep it for a souvenier.

To be able to play this game everybody is going to have to fork over their stateroom numbers.

I believe that Pat (GrayFal) is working on a list that this is included on. Right Pat? or is it Linda who is doing it?

John just told me that this list is available at Hannomoms website Hannomax.com. Just print it out and put in your paperwork folders, binders, tri-folds, or whatever it is OCD people are using these days. LOL

Then after you get tagged you can check to see who hasn't been and sneak it onto their door. What a great suprise to find at the end of a fun day.::yes::

Forgive me for being ignorant, but what exactly does this mean:

DISNEY MAGIC – CASUAL DINING
Casual dining aboard the Magic is now full serve instead of buffet.

I'm assuming they are talking about Topsiders and the such. But are they saying that you have to be seated and waited on or is it like Piccadilly where you go in a line, pick out what you want, and someone serves it on a plate and then gives it to you?

Not to be nosey, but about how much is everyone spending for the gift baskets Shirley is making for the children, and what are you getting put in it? I'm going to do this for my kids, but I wanted an idea of what all I can get for $30, $40, or $50. And I have NO IDEA what to put in my 10yr old DS's basket! He is NOT into sports. Any ideas? Thanks for any info!

Tina, why don't you just give Shirley a call.

She is a wonderful person and will even give you suggestions on what you can put in the baskets.

We are spending between $30-$40 on the girls beach toys, snacks, bubbles and such. I am also sending her a few items at the end of this month to include with it at no extra charge.

Just call this number 1-800-950-4559 and ask for Shirley.

She is a real angel.

Tina, the Topsiders casual dining (just in case you want to wear shorts for dinner on formal night) used to be a partial buffet, but now it is all waiter and menu. That's just for evening. The buffet still rules for breakfast and lunch.

Hi everyone!!
Deck 10 for the Dis meet sounds good, but we should have a rain back up. (not that its GOING to rain mind you!) Where on Deck 10 do we want to meet?
I got the green shirt i ordered in! I will be there in true dis style!

Can you believe we are finally in the 30 something days to go??
:D

Jen, I sent an email to your "Joe Cruise" addy - check it please, I need some help with my sign and I want your little guys!!!!

KY is breathing down my back!!!!:smooth:

edited to add THANK'S LINDA - for my 'special package',,,,I will wear my pin tomorrow at work....the little one!!!!

Ya' know....I've read every post on here. I've been with this group from the beginning and I have to tell you...

I feel more lost now than I did however long ago I first signed onto this thread! (What was that, John...three years ago? LOL)

The things I need to contemplate, the lists that need to be written, decisions that need to be made, stateroom numbers that need to be checked off. It's all too daunting. I now know how someone who has never been to WDW feels when they meet me!!

Maybe next week I'll be able to spend some mental energy on this. But for now....it's back to balancing the check book.

I'm depending on all of you to show me the ropes!! :wave2:

And I can't wait!! :sunny:

I am bouncing on our suit case :bounce: I know I can fit that last bottle of Gin in there. We are going to
P-A-R-T-Why? Cause we can. :firefight :jester:

Xsydid - why don't you fashion one of those beercan-holding-hats for the extra gin bottle? You can have the gin on one side and the mixer on the other, with convenient straws - all hands-free!

On the other hand, packing all the alcohol in your luggage will leave you plenty of free space upon disembarking for all your new souveniers!

Pat - on its way - sorry I didn't see it earlier (you should've been chatting last nite!)

Wonder Update - I saw her again this morning; we are taking very good care of her here in Norfolk. She looks beautiful and really seems to like the area. Linda, think we can convince DCL to consider Norfolk as its home port?! If not, then maybe just a test drive while she's in town?

Linda - what kind of menu will Topsiders be serving at dinner?

TGI...Wednesday! half way there!

Hello All,

I also think that deck 10 will be fine for the meet. Let's enjoy the sunshine!!

Someone asked what everyone''s plans were for St. Thomas. We are doing Coral World/Coki Beach on our own. Our kids are too young for organized snorkle excursions, so this should work out well for us. We bought a blow up raft so we can lay the kids on it and try to help them snorkle a bit at Coki Beach.

Good Morning!

I'm not sure if I posted about St Thomas or not, LOL but Dh will be playing golf and Aubrey and I are going to do the tram, shop at Havensight and then just relax on the ship until dh gets back.

Hope you all have a great Wednesday! I'll check back in later. Gymnastics this morning...;)

Vicki ~ That is soooo funny, because I am in the same boat (so to speak) as you are. I am so glad I am not the only one that feels very confused at this point  Hahaha.

One thing is for sure, however, we are going to HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!:boat:
