If I remember right, you are staying at Royal Pacific and were asking about the hotel. We were there the first year it opened and we thought it was unbelievable. The grounds are beautiful, the pool is really nice and so are the cabanas. The biggest perc is that your room key is a fast pass to every Universal ride, every time. Not the once or twice you get at Disney. Very cool!

Nice to meet ya! It will be me and ds5 (almost 6!) on board.

Just want to say I live down the street from Universal Orlando, and Royal Pacific is indeed BEAUTIFUL. They also have an INCREDIBLE restaurant there, it is one of Emerils (THE Emeril) and it is so nice it would stand out in any large city in the US.

Hope to meet you soon!
Michelle

Thanks for the info on the Royal Pacific. I have seen it listed as one of Orlando's top ten pools, so I am pysched about that. I am getting nervous and excited about the fact that we are leaving in less than 1 week. This weekend I have a few activities - swim team Halloween party tonight, and my 8th grader's school dance, but once they're done, I'm getting down to the business of packing! I just went to the bank to get spend money for the kids, and a roll of quarters for the laundry, and yet another multi-pack of film, since I tend to take way to many photos! Does anyone else like to scrapbook? I can't wait to meet you all. We sound like a great group! :cool1: Claire

My son & I went to the doctor today and got our flu shot & our Hep. A shot. I also got some Bonamine & Gravol Jr. for DS. and the key ingredient - Ativan! I hate hate hate flying, so to get me on the plane I need a strong dose of Ativan.

I dropped my snazzy formal dress off at the cleaners and picked up some last minute items at Wal-mart!

Whoo-Hoo Almost ready! :cheer2:

I dabble in scrapbooking...actually I only scrap my disney trips. I'm in the middle of one...have to do another and now I'll have this one. AHHH!!!

Kids clothes are all in their baggies. Hubby's clothes go to the cleaners for a pressing tomorrow. Just remembering last minute things not to forget. Even my daughter is becoming neurotic just like me. She came home from school today and typed up on the computer her own check off list.

Our chain is soo short now that it no longer reaches to the other side of the bakers rack...it just hangs down.

I have to get up at 5:00 am to get my parents to the airport tomorrow. They're leaving on the Eastern cruise!!! They're soo lucky!!!

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Does anyone know their cabin number yet? How would we meet up? I'm new at this and my girls are really excited to meet other kids their ages.

I thought before I mentioned that we made a "Count down" chain. It was hanging from one side of the bakers rack to the other. My kids were trying hard the other day to reattach the chain when they took off a link and laughed when they realized it was too short to reach.
Sorry if I didn't make sense...hope this clears things up!!

I just called DCL main line & ask for the movies showing during our cruise.

Chicken Little (Woo Hoo)
Herbie
The Greatest Game Ever Played
Sky High
Valiant
Winnie the Pooh
Shop Girl

Hopefully with our sched, we could watch Chicken Little.

See you, packing right now but can't stop visiting DIS Board :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks mym3m, my kids just saw the list and are planning 'their cruise'.

Another scrapbooker here!

Here we are doing the "7 day dance".... :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
My ds and dd will be so excited to hear that Chicken Little will be playing, they both want to see that!!! :dancer:

SuzyMouse I'm sorry I forgot about your chain. I have a very small brain & it doesn't hold much. :guilty:

I love the idea of the countdown chain! I like countdowns in general. Ours is a big wall calendar with BIG X's when we mark off a day.

I want to see Chicken Little too.

My son's going to be a ghoul for Halloween. What is everyone else doing?

DS is the Incredible Hulk!! :bounce:

A family of pirates for Halloween here! I didn't think I was going to get a costume ($45 was ridiculous!). I remembered the dance teachers danced to "A pirate's life for me" for the Disney recital a few years ago. I asked her if I could borrow her costume and she still had it. So Now we'll all be dressed for pirates night! pirate:

Suzanne...no problem with all the stuff running around in my brain for this cruise...I'm surprised I can remember anything else!!! :rotfl:

Ok people...what are some things we have to remember to do this week....

My list...

*get passports and birth certificates
*get money ready for tips
*get money
*set timers at home
*Fill out documents
*charge camera and dvd player

The kids are all packed and all our stuff is picked out.

6 days and counting!!! :hourglass

Do we need to take our own beach towels? Just wondering since they take up a lot of room, but so many times when a place states "pool towels available" they barely cover one leg.
Thanks!

No. There are beach towels at the pool areas and towels near the gangway at Castaway Cay. We always grab some towels before heading off the ship at the other ports if needed. I have heard that the beach escape type excursions have towels to, but this is just what I was told.

The towels are descent size. They are not as big as a "beach" towel, but are in the order of a descent size hotels towel.

Hope you enjoy your voyage. We have enjoyed our 3 previous trips on the Magic.

Sean
