As for a meet before the cruise no one has decided that yet, but
some people, like me, are coming in that morning. But perhaps we
can meet somewhere on board at a specified time and see all the people
we've been talking with for months.

Has anyone on our cruise been on another cruise and know how
they usually set up a meet?

Hi all, :rolleyes1
Welcome to the board ann beth. Is your 12 year old a boy or girl? :confused3 I have a 13 year old daugher, an 11 year old daughter, and a 9 year old son. Scouter, thanks for the info regarding the door signs. We will all definately have to meet up somewhere on the cruise. We will be arriving in Orlando on Friday, and staying 1 night there, and leaving for the cruise terminal on Saturday morning. If any of you plan to arrive early, too, maybe we could meet before boarding. Scouter, my 13 year old DD finally posted her own message about the cruise on the teen disboard. Tell your son to write back. Claire

Scouter,

Another question - How do you put a picture next to your name? (i.e. like your cat under your "Scouter" name? Claire

Also, Claire, I've told my son Sean where to post, hopefully by tomorrow
Sarah will see something from him.

Oh, we definitely have to meet up! But I won't be there till Saturday
probably about 1pm.
So hopefully we can plan a meet up time and place, like one of the lounges,
when we're onboard. Perhaps besides you planning something before we
board.

I just ordered 2 DIS shirts for my DS and I to wear when we board.
I found them on the DIS store at:
http://www.disshop.com/store.asp
Check them out. They were cheap.

I am getting soooooo excited about this trip! :jumping1:

:cool1: Thanks scouter - I have a picture now, and can share how to do it with DD 13! I'm am going to try to spot you in your new tee-shirt on board! Claire

Hi Everyone,

DH and I are newbies to the DCL and the DIS. We are also going with DD and DSIL (previous cruisers), plus DGD3. If the cruise is half as good as the DIS, I know it's going to be fantastic! :cloud9:

Thanks to all for the great tips and info. :goodvibes

:sunny: I am starting to actually think about getting organized, now. I am ordering duplicate copies of our birth certificates, and starting to buy "cruise" clothes during the summer clearances! Is anyone out there a scrapbooker? I was wondering if they sell Disney Cruise scrapbook stuff on the boat? This is probably the most hectic time of the year for me with everyone back in school. DD 13 is running cross country, DS 9 is playing fall 5 v5 soccer, and all 3 (including DD 11) are getting ready to start competing for the swim season. I have to highlight my calender with different colors to know where to go when! This cruise will be such a nice break for me! Claire

Welcome Boosgram!

3swimmers- Our DD 10 is also keeping us running 5 days a week for the swim team, and DS 8 keeps us busy running to soccer. It will be nice to have a week of no driving.

Just an informal poll-......Who is staying at the Radison or the Ron Jon the night before? :)

We are staying at the Radisson the night before, we are driving and will be arriving Friday afternoon sometime. We stayed at the Radisson 2 years ago before our last disney cruise and liked it a lot so we decided to get there earlier this year so the kids can enjoy the pool. :cool1: :cool1:

We will be at the Radisson too. We heard from these boards that it was'nt the cleanest hotel AFTER we booked and paid in full. What to you think? how close is it to the port in driving time? ...and last but not least, what will you be doing with the car ( port or rad. parking?) Thanks!

:earseek: Hi all!

We will be staying in Orlando at Universal's Royal Pacific on Friday. We originally booked a 4 night cruise, and were going to stay at Universal for a few days. We changed our mind to a 7 day cruise within days, and Universal would not refund our $250 deposit! So much for customer service! So, we will be heading to the port Saturday morning to board the ship - At least the pool looks nice at our hotel :smooth:

Dizma - My daughter will be thrilled to know there is another swimmer on board! Are the 10 & 11 year olds together in the Lab?
Scouter - thanks for having your son respond to my daughter on her "teen" thread. We don't have internet at home, so hopefully she will get to the library soon and write back.
Claire

Hi again

Dizma I just noticed you have a DS 8 who plays soccer - My DS 9 is a soccer fan (and also swims to try to keep up with his 2 big sisters), so hopefully they will be together, too. Claire :wave2:

We are spending 3 nights at POFQ before the cruise. It's a surprise for my family, they think that we're going to stay at the Radisson and bum around by the port for a few days before the cruise like we usually do. I just can't imagine going to Orlando and not going to WDW!

Our group of 10 is staying at the Hyatt at the airport. Is anyone else staying there on Friday night?

::MickeyMo are you staying at radisson resort at the port? :sunny: we will be staying there....my husband found it on line... :confused3 :earboy2: kinda hard to pick a hotel in florida when you are in seattle....I am ready to go, how about you all? :Pinkbounc we have been running around trying to find clothes for the trip :flower:

We are thinking of packing tips now. I have always packed light. 2 bags for 4 people. I do not think that is possible for the cruise.

So everyone.. here is the question of the day.. How may bags for how many people???

OMG!!! 2 bags for 4 people?????
I know I overpack.....2 bags for each person!
I don't know how especially with this cruise how we'd do it any other way.
Especially since we're doing the formal and semi-formal nights and
pirate stuff too!
How do you do it!

Also, can we plan a meet ON board, besides the one you're trying to do the
night before because we're not coming in until the day of. I don't want to
miss out meeting all of you!

....we usually do 1 suitcase per person.

;) Can I put out there the next question of the day?...............Who plans on dressing in pirate attire for pirate night? We are planning to go all out, and hope others will also make pirate fools out of themselves too :rotfl2: :rotfl2: !!!!!
