Welcome to the group Michelle. I'm also traveling with a group of 8 (me, DW, 3 kids, and 3 grandparents). I also don't live too far from you ... I'm in Freehold. What are the ages of your kids?

Welcome Michelle, the ship will definately be filled with people from NJ, were from Burlington.

Hi Michelle,

Welcome aboard! We're right down the road from you in Monroe! I have 2 kids DD (10) and DS (7).

Kids are are DD10, DS9, DD8, and DS6 (turns 6 on the boat!!!). Our dentist and her family will also be on the boat with 2 kids in grades 1 and 3. I've created a countdown for the kids. They take turns pulling off an index card with today's date and how many days are left. We're flying down on Nov 2 and staying 2 nights at OKW (we're DVC members). I managed to get decent airfare from Newark. I booked it on Christmas Eve!!

Good morning everyone!

Yesterday my family went to Point Pleasant Beach for a fun filled day of the ocean! I was standing at the water's edge with my husband and we were talking about how it just a few more months until we're at the beach on Castaway Cay. Now I love going to the Jersey shore...but the feeling that the beautiful crystal clear water that meets the flawless white sand will be in front of us in just a short while brings a smile to my face! :)

On a side note I wanted to share with you the following thread I posted yesterday on the community board. Yesterday would have been my mother's 64th birthday. Thanks for looking....

What a better way to honor your mom on her birthday, going to the beach!
I'm sure it was a difficult day for you, both of my parents are gone, so I understand how you are feeling. :grouphug:

:grouphug: Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Treasure the memories of the good times you shared - those are yours forever and can never be taken away! :grouphug:

I'm so sorry to hear of your Mom. When I heard about the crash, my heart and prayers went out to the families. Now I know who I was praying for. I know 2 families in Clearbrook, and one of them attends our church down here in Hightstown. It's amazing how small our worlds really are.

Sue,

I know yesterday was hard. I think what you did to remember your mom was beautiful. I lost my mom 16 years ago (Wow, has it been that long?) and all the firsts (and seconds and some after that) were very difficult. My heart goes out to you and your family.

On a side note, Steph will write back to your DD today. We have been so incredibly busy the last few days. We think it's really funny that the 2 girls she's writing to (your's and Teresa's) have the same name. She's already having trouble remembering which one she needs to respond to!! But she can't wait to meet them in person!

That is so funny that all of our DD's are talking together!!!! :cloud9:

Thanks for all of the warm thoughts being sent my way. It's nice to be surrounded by such a great group of people!

OK group. I'm sitting through a day long meeting (thankfully with my laptop and an internet connection). I've compiled a list of those cruising on 11/4/06 Western.

There's no real rhyme or reason to the order of this list. I generally tried to group the parties traveling with kids together in the list. If the information I have for you is incorrect (I gathered it the best I could from your posts), shoot me a PM or post to this thread and I'll edit away. If you think the list should be ordered differently, just let me know.

Jason...this is AWESOME!!! :thumbsup2 Thanks so much for all of your hard work. Thank god for long meetings...we get so much accomplished during them!

You can put my name, Sue, next to my screen name. (I like knowing people's real names. ALso..if you don't mind..sorry to be a pain...but can you put Granddee instead of Grandpa. THank you so much!!

Wow...Jason, what a great list!! Thank you for doing it. I wanted to let you know that I'm halfway through reading your trip reports. All I can say is between your 4 year old and my 4 year old, the counselors are going to earn their money that week (assuming that my DS actually goes to the club)!! I am really enjoying reading your reports...they sound so similar to our trips. It looks like we'll have a very similar cruise experience!!

No problem with the Group List. It helped pass the time this morning. If the list is any indication, this cruise is going to be full of people from NJ (which all of us NJ Week people already knew). If any of you non-NJ people want to start up a conversation with a New Jerseyan on the cruise, just ask "What exit do you live off of?"

Linda: my DD4 is a handful. She will be just a couple of months shy of 5 when we cruise and, therefore, we may try to get her into the 5-7 year old group in the kids club to be with DS6. As DD4 seems like she's going on 24, I have no doubt that she'll fit right in. As for my trip reports, I never did finish my 2005 trip report, but have promised myself I will do so before my family heads back down to WDW later this month. If only I can remember what we did those last few days.

Thanks SO much for putting that list together :goodvibes

Let me give you some more specific info......it's me Amy(DW), Irv(DH),and Ethan(8yr old DS), and we are from Mount Laurel, NJ...............then--- there is Nanny and Poppie from South Amboy, NJ

This will be our 2nd cruise and their 1st............and we're SO excited :cool1: I hope we can manage some sort of a get together while on board.

If anyone has a kid my son's age, he'd love to have a cyber pal

Your welcome!! I too have a DS8 who will be in 3rd grade when we cruise. With his younger brother and sister likely in the 5-7 year old kids club, it would be nice if he got to know someone else before we cruise who may be in the kids club with him. He's a bit of a stranger to the Internet/email, but we'll figure something out. Shoot me a PM if you want to exchange email addresses for them.
