102 degrees in Texas today!!!

Holy cow. It was 102 here in Plano (North Dallas area) today. Tomorrow is supposed to be 97, but the weather dude said it could break 100! WTH! My DD7 said "Oh no, mommy, what is summer gonna be like?" I don't even want to think about it. I already got a sunburn Saturday at the Easter Egg Hunt. We were only outside about 45 minutes.

The electric company actually went to "emergency" mode and we had rolling black-outs this afternoon. No electricity for 15 minute increments all over the DFW metroplex - during rush hour. It may happen again tomorrow.

I know, I left school this afternoon and couldn't believe how hot it was. I checked the thermometer on my truck and it was 102. Great Scott, how are we gonna handle it this summer????

and my upstairs unit is freaking out....ugh.

I figure the high temps are just getting me ready for my Disney Trip in June. That is one nice thing about being from Texas, you don't freak out about the heat in FL during summer!

Well, 102 is "no big" for summer, but for mid-April

Good thing we are leaving for Florida in 10 days to get away from this heat!

Actually, this heat wave should be over by Wednesday and things back to 80-degree normal by then. Whew.
