102 degrees in DL this Friday?

I would plan all the shows, naps, and lunch/snack times, pee-pee/diaper breaks all around that midday heat time! Does anyone know if we're allowed to bring our own spray bottles into the park?

I know they'll let you bring your own bottled water into the park so I don't see why they wouldn't let you bring a spray bottle in.

It was 101 when I arrived on 4/27 around 2:00pm. I was standing in the line for the ticket booth with shorts on, I couldn't stand still because the heating coming off the cement was burning my legs. I just went in to get something to eat and then went back to the hotel for awhile until the evening (I was there Sunday to Thursday), it was just too hot. Luckily it cooled off the rest of the week.

There really is no "normal" anymore in So Cal. I spent 30 yrs growing up/etc in the San Gabriel Valley & the OC. I''ve been reading so many posts the past 6-8 weeks about this day or that day getting over 90, 95, 99. Call it global warming or whatever you want, but all of the charts and graphs of historic temps are getting totally distorted now that a seemingly cool season (Spring - it IS still spring) has so many days hotter than 90.

I remember several days of 95-100+ while working in FL - Fantasyland (FL - not Florida) during the late 80's. There weren't a ton, but there were certainly those days. It's HOT outside in the lines, etc, - but try spending a whole shift in a ridiculous polyester costume all day! That was no fun.

I "can't wait" for my days at DL this weekend. I'll definitely be bringing my water along!! :)

We live about 10 miles from DL, and the weather forecasters have been predicting this for about a week. Friday and Saturday are going to be the worst days. And ironically, by the following Friday, it's supposed to be back in the upper 60s. Go figure.

We've been at DL in weather like this in the past, and for me, it's the lack of shade that is the worst. Many times, there is a nice breeze that can cool you off. My advice is find shade for the early afternoon times. As many PPs have said, it won't start out at 100 degrees at 8am - it should be in the upper 60s when you start, and by about 5pm will start cooling down.

Good luck to everyone this weekend!

Accuweather.com has changed tomorrow's temp in Anaheim from 102 degrees to 98.. Atleast it's under 100?

We're leaving today for Disneyland.

Actually, 102 degrees sounds downright comfortable! Oh, did I mention, I'm from Scottsdale! (Actually, we haven't even hit 100 yet this year, although it's supposed to be about 106 here!)

Maybe the crowds will be light!

I've been checking every other day on weather.com & accuweather for next week and noticed today that it changed from sunny to showers & cloudy all day (for next thurs & fri)! Guess that's mother nature just letting us know who's in charge! Probably shouldn't complain, must be better than 102 degrees?! :confused3

Whenever they predict rain, ignore it. It won't rain. And never trust a Southern California forecast that is more than 2 days out. They simply don't know how to predict weather here.

Now, it says rain again for Friday this week... I want so much to ignore it, but what ifff? We went to DL one time and people wore ponchos... I actually wish it would be hot again!

It will be close to 100 I think... I live in Venice and at the beach on that day it is supposed to be in the mid 80's.. so it makes since 30 miles inland that it would be near or around 100!
Hey we used to live in Venice. DH grew up there.

As for the weather if they are predicting rain it seems like the further south you are the less likely you will get rain. It can be raining in Santa Monica where DH works and never rain here and we are around 30 miles south of Santa Monica.

Rain at Disneyland is wonderful! The parks clear out, and you can run around in your poncho and have a great time!

But I was told to NOT ride CA Screamin' in the rain, as the take-off+rain feels like needles are being thrown in your face.

Grizzly in the rain, however, is great! (though my opinion might be different than others on that, as I rode it in the rain, at night, in December and didn't mind the cold at all)

That's true, we rode it in the rain and it really hurt my face. I won't do that again.

I've had the same face pummeling experience on Dumbo and Astro Orbitor. Owie! I would expect the same with BTMRR. Matterhorn is ok unless it's raining really hard.

But I'm like Molly and LOVE DLR in the rain. :thumbsup2

Well rain in DL may not be too bad I guess, as long as it's not too windy tho. hope it's one of those tropical type rains where it's still kinda warm, but it's raining. ooooh the jungle cruise would be rrreeeeal nice raining i imagine!

I don't know about tropical, the Weater Channel is calling for 65 and partly cloudy on Friday and 62 on Saturday.
