How exciting that your trip is getting so close. I sure wish I was heading down to sunny Florida especially on a day like today!

Wow you're sure getting organised HS, I can't remember do the kids know? If so are they getting excited????
They know we're going. They don't kow the details, like that we're going to BBB or CRT or LTT, etc...
Also I know you bought a Home School book on Epcot do you intend on linking stuff to school whilst you're there?
What countries are you most interested in studying?
(BA says "don't make DisneyWorld too educational--have fun.")
Let's think of 1 neat fact from each other that you can casually share when you visit!
For instance, I remember reading that the bricks will change when you walk from England to France--representing the straits of Gibralter (I think this is right)
OhMari!!!!! I need you... I know you posted on Blue's thread about a bus stop to RPDE (maybe by MK?), but I can't find it and I'm wondering how we'll get there. I need to add the info to my info folder. Can you remind me of what the deal is? Thansk so much!!!

With 2 Epcot days you can ride TT at least 4 times, just sayingI HAD wanted to study the Epcot countries before we left, but I haven't been able to fit it in. So my plan is to talk a bit about them as we go through them. Then I want to buy something unique at each country as a souvie to bring home. I also thought we'd ty to have a snack to share at each country that is authentic to their culture. This spring I'll pull out the book and we'll go over each country with what we saw, the pics and souvies.![]()
Thanks for asking, I love to plan me some school stuff! But I don't want the trip to become a big school lesson, you know? We have 2 days at Epcot so we can take our time.![]()
Wow TE I've never heard that, I bet there are tons of interesting facts we don't know! For instance, I remember reading that the bricks will change when you walk from England to France--representing the straits of Gibralter (I think this is right)
I just looked it up and apparently there is a shuttle from the TTC which you get to via the monorailOhMari!!!!! I need you... You could take a cab.

We find, probably cos it's August and so hot, that we don't explore the countries properly your ideas sound nice, it is a vacation and not a school trip after all

For five? I wonder how much that would cost... I've only been in a cab once for a few blocks when DH and I celebrated (i.e. drank a lot) Valentine's day on the Riverwalk a few years ago. Our hotel was NOT near the hub of activity and my shoes hurt!!!
So, anyone have an idea on cab fare from POR to RPDE?

Make your life easy. Take the cab. It's a 10 minute drive from POR and probably costs $20 max!
Set up the cab the night before. Let them know there will be 5 and they'll send a mini-van.
Easy, Peasy, Japanesey.![]()
HSM if worse comes to worse ake the front desk at your hotel, they will be able to tell you where to get the but![]()
-------------This is me doing the 15 day dance for you

Don't feel bad. We took a cab from DTD to Bomas one time cause we really needed to make the ADR on time. It was $20 with tip (very easy to arrange with the front desk--actually at the Hilton, they park outside all the time). For five? I wonder how much that would cost... Sorry to be such a pain, but how do you set up a cab? At the desk? Then do I just tell them to come back in an hour or two? Less than 20 each way? Maybe that's the way to go.I would never spend the money normally, but I'm a little nervous on time that day. We have an ADR at 7:30 at Boatwright's, then we get picked up for ME at noon. So we only have that time in between. He's doing a ride-along, not driving, so it's only 4 laps. I don'think it'll be too long.

I grumbled about the price the rest of the week and even wrote it down in my Passporter! But it WAS the right thing to do cause we made it right on time and he was back waiting for us when we wanted to go back.
(Daran just rolled his eyes at me when I complained--he travels so much for business that things don't stress him like they do me!)
Just consider it part of the Christmas present---cause if you miss your time due to public transportation, what will happen??
Afterwards, you can always hoof it to the TTC across the MK parking lot. Probably be about a 15 minute walk. You could always jump on the "people-movers" also which will take you to the TTC.
I wouldn't trust the front desk. I never do. The less people in the "loop" the better the chances will be for success.
Call the cab company yourself. Set it up. Then, one hour prior the day of, call and confirm. I take cabs all the time and all over. It's expensive, but sometimes it's the best bet.
I've never been to the RPDE so this is why I suggest the cab.
