Animal Kingdom Day!
I have to admit that I'm not very excited about this park. Animals, yippee..

I do think that the hubby will enjoy the two big rides- Dinosaur and Expedition Everest. But the two younger kids will be too short to ride and my oldest doesn't
do roller coasters. So, I figure I'll keep them happy while he runs off and does those two rides first thing. I like rides, but really, I just want to have a nice vacation where there's no tears over being scared on rides. If I tell him I'll stay with the kids or take them to another ride, there won't be any fighting. I know we could switch off, but I really just want to spend the time together more than I care if I hit all the rides. If that sounds crazy, remember that we haven't taken our kids on a vacation before. I can't wait to be together (out of our house!) and chill. Someone pass me a Lapu, please!
So, the plan... Hubs is going to run over to Dinosaur & Expedition Everest while I herd the kids over to Killamanjaro Safaris to get Fast Passes. Then I plan on killing some time on the Marharajah Jungle Trek. Once hubby finds us, we'll use our Fast Passes. Next, the Pangani Forest Trail... Do you think the kids will cry if I jog quickly through these animal trails?

I may scare a few hundred people or pass flat out, but we'd get through the trails more quickly, right?

What?! You didn't see the tiger? It was the orange blur...
Next I plan on using a CS credit on lunch at Flame Tree BBQ. I would like to go over to Finding Nemo the Musical, then visit Pocahontas and her friends in Camp Minnie Mickey. The Festival of the Lion King is next on my list.
Uh... now that I'm reading my plan, I see that I have no rides for the kids scheduled.

Ooops. Okay- I may need to work on that and update this post later on, huh?

Maybe we'll hit the TriceaTop Spin on the way out?
Speaking of updating my plan, I want to get a "final" (is it EVER really final?) plan so I can print out my little book to take with us, but I worry things will change with rides or whatever and I'll have to re-do it all. I read that there is a new show (or was it a character thing?) in the Magic Kingodm for High School Musical 2, but I don't think it's on Tour Guide Mike yet. I dunno...

Any suggestions?
Sorry- back to my obviously not very good plan...
This is where it gets good, though!
We have ADRs at Capt. Jack's in Downtown Disney for an early dinner. I scheduled in shopping time for a few hours here. I'm so excited about having money that I can do whatever I want with. At home it's "budget, budget, budget" (which you can't knock if it means you get to go to WDW, right?) but it will be nice to buy whatever I want until my money runs out. I actually think I'll get a card for school supplies too (stuff from the World Showcase) and keep it separate so I don't have to worry about spending "school" money. Hmmm.. good idea.
After shopping, I have a horse-drawn carriage ride set up for us. I'm a little worried the horse will be pissed (mad, not drunk, Jo!

) about all the weight, but I know the kids will think a carriage ride will be magical.

A few weeks ago, a guy in a carriage was going down the street near our house (no telling why!) and the kids thought it was so cool. They wistfully told me they wish they could go on one one day...

I just grinned at my hubby because we knew it would be a dream come true soon!
That pretty much sums up our day. I don't remember if I mentioned it before, but the kids know we're going, but they don't know anything about where we'll eat (character meals, the castle), BBB, the carriage ride, etc. I am trying to keep it a secret. After I'm done with the Daily Plan posts, I'll move on to the magic

that I am adding. Some of the ideas are fromthe boards, but a lot have jus been thought up on the fly as I planned this trip.
So, stay tuned... Monday will be a report (with pics!!!) on projects for the trip. There may have to be more than one weekend I work on these now that my girls will be home this weekend. They were going to have a sleepover with my SIL, but my BIL is sick. It has been rescheduled, so I'll try to do things this weekend, but continue then if I have to.
