100 Point Buy in From Disney?

Is Disney still offering this? I really want to buy and my wife is getting closer. However, we really are not at the point where we need more points then that. We have DS8, DS2, and DS4mo., and would like to travel about every other year. I want to buy from Disney and not resale. I want a June UY and 100 points!

Hi! I just bought 2 weeks ago and for first time buyers they were not offering any less than 160. If you want to go ever other year it may be nice to have 160, you could always rent left over points.

I have to young kids and my husband and I find that our vacations are much more enjoyable in a 1 bedroom. We can put the kids to bed in the bed room and watch a movie or hang out in the living area with out disturbing them, it also gives us a little break from each other and allows for naps.

Yes, you can buy in as a new member at both AKL and SSR with only 100 points.

Hopefully, I am still correct. That is the information that I got from my guide (just last week) and what is posted at dvcnews.com being current.

Did you buy AKL? or SSR? I think sometimes that they are not going to necessarily offer everything up but if someone asks then they are more forthcoming! It sounds like they have multiple things that are going on at the same time. When I added on at BLT, they were offering the cruise. I didn't want that but wanted the points instead. They said no problem and that is what I was able to get.

Of course, the 100 point level does not qualify for either the matching DP's or the cruise (with a member referral) so you still need to add on at the 160 level as a new member to get those.

If I could just find that extra $6k in the couch cushions. Besides, I want 3 x 100 point contracts, as I have 3 boys that will get them someday. 100 initial purchase and 2 x 100 point add-ons! that's how I want to do it!

Do you mean you want to do the 3 x 100 pts now? If that is the case, then I think you would still qualify for all the incentives.

I would contact a DVC guide to find out all your options, even if you are not ready to buy--that is what I did. If you need the name of a great guide, PM me---mine is wonderful.

Yes, 100 point buy in at AKV and SSR. They will not allow this at BLT. The 100 does not qualify you for the cruise or the extra SSR points. We were there yesterday and are considering that but will probably go with the BLT. It just makes more sense since 100 points at AKV will be 467.00 in maintenance each year while 160 points at BLT will be 587.00. For 120 more a year we get the extra 60 points each year plus all the incentives. It is tempting however to spend a little less intially.

Yes, you would still get the incentives of $6.25 off and I believe you would still get the developer points for the 100 AKL contract. To qualify for the cruise, I believe it has to be 160 (and a member referral).

I just added on at BLT, and I changed things 3 times in the last month. He was wonderful in helping me get exactly what I wanted. We finally got the contract we wanted yesterday!!!

EDIT: Just checked dvcnews.com and you may need to add on at 160 for DP's as well--the $6.25 off per point would still be applied with 100 pts.
