100% Nylon Pants, Will they shrink...

If I wash them in hot water and dry them on very hot?
I bought some school brand nylon lined pants for DS and they are too big. So instead of doing the intelligent thing and taking them back (I can't find the receipt), I thought I'd try to shrink them. Does Nylon generally shrink, like cotton clothing?

No, nylon won't shrink. The store may exchange them for a different size even without a receipt since it is an even exchange.

No, they won't shrink. But depending on the fabric, hot water and/or high heat in the dryer could ruin them. They could actually melt.
