We are going to be on the dining plan again in April. My son will be 10 on this trip, so we are buying the adult plan, of course. My question is, can he still order off the childrens menu using his adult credits? He is a very picky eater (chicken fingers, hamburgers). Thanks!

We have been two times on the dining plan, DS was 10 the first trip and 11 on the second. Both times he has been able to order from the child's menu at any TS restaurant. Most dinners, he would order an adult appetizer and dessert and a child's entree. We did not have a problem doing this. Some of the places gave him a larger version of the child's entree and some did not.

We debated about getting the dining plan because he was such a picky eater, but it was one of his favorite parts of vacation. It made him feel very grown-up to be able to order an appetizer and he even wrote about his dinners in his school report after the trip. His teacher was kind enough to share his report with us. It read "we went to grown-up restaurants and we got fancy food first and then they brought the dinner." How could we not get the plan after that?
