Glad you remembered me....

I just read through your whole PTR and no you are not borring me at all! My heart and prayers go out to you, your Dad and extended family. I'm glad to hear the surgery seems to be a sucess and that you could be with him during that inital hard time. I hope his recovery will continue on the upside and he'll be stronger and you will feel good too being so far from "home"

Here are some little notes I made during my read through....

You HAVE to have that special binder (i have one too) and it's not obessive...it super planned I love your cover too! Gotta love the scrapbooker's eye for style!

cute shirts (the character filled mickey heads) I tried to get those for my family too, but was only able to get one for DS in lime green to boot...it's big on him too.

Speaking of central IL I went to ISU for a semester back in the early 90's before I had to medically withdraw due to asthma complications...

Halloween: love the girls costumes, very pretty for both! And very clever on the re-use for Disney too. I bought my eldest DD and the baby DD costumes online w/ the after Christmas deals for our trip and then for Halloween this year. PS love to see someone using the traditional pumpkin buckets for getting candy.

I think your itinerary sounds great. You'll love Blzzard Beach, we spent a day there back in 05 and really enjoyed it. Great areas for all ages and you must do the family raft ride! We're not doing a TS at AK either.

Congrats on all your ADR's and the BBB boutique ressie coming through just like you wnated and don't worry I was nervous when I made my call too...don't know why? silly are we, huh?

OMG I was at ISU from fall of 90 to Spring of 94! I grew up in B/Normal! While I was home I made sure to eat at Avanti's bi-weekly!

It changes so much everytime I am home.

It is! I was there fall of '92. I roomed in Hewitt. I was sad to leave, but know that was the "plan" all along in a way or I probably would have never re-connected with my husband.

One of these days I'll try and dig out an old pic from then and post it for you...

HI Jordy! Sorry its been so long. Life just got in the way of my computer time!

Dad is doing OK. Our great news is that in his latest MRI his brain scan was CLEAN!!!!!!!!! that was 6 small tumors that radation ZAPPED!

BUT he still has a liver tumor, lung tumor and one under his arm and the liver one is the biggest concern right now. His legs are swelling and he is really struggling with walking, ect...

We are going back on Sat to visit him for spring break so that will be nice.

We have also started prep work for the TIRP! I am buying Disney croc's for the kids as an Easter gift.

also youngest DD will be 5 on the 2nd of April so she is getting decked out in all the Sleeping Beauty stuff I could find. SHe LOVES Sleeping Beauty.

I also need to start working on our countdown calendar. I have a machine that will make my own mickey heads so I dont' need to steal them from home depot!

I promise to try and not neglect this trippie.

glad to hear the brain cancer scan came back clean, but still really sorry to hear about everything else! been wondering how you've been and your family. That is great that you can go home agian over SB and visit for you and your kids too.

Hope the trip has more highs and moments of laughter and smiles than anything else!

As promised, after going through my childhood-college bin for something else, I pulled out a couple dities to share. First is me in my dorm room with my homemade hopscotch...and then my ISU id/key chain.

I hate to bring this pre-tripie down a bit but I wanted to ask you all for some prayers for my dad.

I came home to see him for the kids spring break and he had to go to the hospital. He has taken a major turn for the worse and they have found 4 new brain tumors. We talked to the Dr. and he has said he has a week or 2 at best. This is not what we were expecting at all.

I will stay home with him for the time being and the kids will go back home with my MIL until the funeral. Its heartbreaking and a relief at the same time. When he found out he had cancer his hope was that once it got to the end that it would be fast and he wouldn't be in much pain.

Hey everyone....

Hope I am not stepping on Meri's toes here but she has been very up front about her dad's health here so I think it would be okay if I posted this.

Meri's dad Bernie passed away this afternoon at home surrounded by family.

Any prayers you could send her way would be appreciated.

She was extremely close to her daddy and I know her heart is hurting so badly right now.
