Just heard from DU and my documents should be sent out on Monday by DCL. I know the main documents are filled out online but there is something fun about receiving paperwork or luggage tags in the mail.

Thanks for the Macy's tip. My husband was going to wear a nice sports coat but we might need to go shopping now. He needed a suit anyway. I hope we are able to find something nice that he likes. Our Macy's is not too great.

We just got back from the Disney Store and we got: Ariel for DD1 (works well as she is a redhead), Sleeping Beauty for DD2 and Tinkerbell for DD3. They didn't have any more pink Minnie Mouse costumes in 24 months and the 18 month size just fit. I didn't want to chance that she'd outgrow it in the next month. I'm a little disappointed as it was so unbelieveably cute.

I did pick up some Minnie Mouse ears for me! And on the way home, DH said that he'll probably bring his suit. So nice to read that other DHs will be as well. He's starting to get into planning mode. He asked me how many beach days we get and what we're going to do and what we're going to eat.

I think I've got a plan now for our pre-cruise alcohol/water purchases. We arrive at 10 pm at MCO and we're staying at the Hyatt. DH says he won't be able to sleep so he's going to go out to buy the water and see if the liquor store is open. If it's closed, he'll go out again in the morning and we'll catch the earliest Disney shuttle that we can to the port. Originally, I was planning on catching a 9 or 9:30 shuttle, but if it's slightly later that's OK.

Someone posted a YouTube video of the Halloween merch available at WDW. Maybe I'll get myself Halloween Mickey ears. I don't know. Ugh..the pressure.

I was bummed too. It was a very close decision to leave it. DH suggested we get it and if it doesn't fit in Oct. we could re-sell it (no more babies for us, so can't re-use). But I want as much stuff squared away as I can, so we bought the Tink costume.

After much annoying research on the net, I found the new WalMart supercentre (4 miles northeast of MCO) has a full liquor store in it and it's open from 9 am to 10 pm (I had to call to find that out). Yay! I'll send DH out first thing in the morning and we should be at the Port nice and early to board asap. Plus we can get the water at the same shop.

Secret Mickey details:

Secret Mickey - at least the way we did it, goes like this:

1) Everyone who wants to participate submits their name to the person coordinating

2) The coordinator passes out a questionnaire with questions like what your favorite color, Disney character, etc is

3) The coordinator matches each person up with their person to be a Secret Mickey for and gives you their questionnaire

4) You plan little things throughout the week of the cruise - can be a few days, or every day - totally your choice - usually no more that about $25 total in gifts

5) You can drop the gifts off, have the room steward put them in, etc - on the last day you reveal yourself

Hi there,

My DH and I are so looking forward to our first DCL cruise....counting down the days till we leave for 7 nights @ WDW..18 more sleeps, then the cruise. Even the DH is getting excited.

We have booked our Palo dinner, a massage for DH, the snorkel and boat trip, ocean world park and tour....and I even upgraded us from cat 12 to cat 6 so we can have our breakfast on the balcony......

I have done our documents on line, haven't received our cabin assignment yet...is this normal so close to departure not to have an allocation???

Have I forgotten anything??? What will the weather be like, as we are just getting out of winter here, so a nice warm trip would be awesome.

We look forward to meeting fellow disney nuts so just listen out for the aussie accent and that'll be us

UPS dropped off my cruise documents today!!

Anj, thanks for the info on Walmart Supercenter. We are renting a car Sat AM & driving to the port ourselves so we can stop & shop (& since flight gets in at 6 am we don't have to spend hours waiting in the airport but can drive around a little, maybe do breakfast at a resort if we have time). Now I don't have to shop for a place to stop!
