Well here in AZ we are still in shorts and swimming pools!! It is still in the 90's during the day but it dips well into the 70's at night!!

I spent most of my "growing up" life in AZ so I know what you mean. I remember one year we got a few snowflakes and thought it was heaven

I hate to tell you all this but here in central Phoenix - it was HOT when we went Trick or Treat last night! I mean, HOT!!! Usually, Halloween will mark our cool down trend and it's like "spring" for the east coast. "Fall" is Phoenix's "spring" because it's when we can come out of our homes and rejoin nature. But last night, it was hot and DD's full body Buzz Lightyear costume was not a treat and we barely made it home before she was screaming to get out of it!

I remember that - we always looked forward to November just so we could enjoy the evenings! I bet that costume was good and toastly. It was warm here in TX too - 80's today, considering we were at 40 earlier this week, its enough to make me grab for the airborne with this crazy weather!

Hey all just saw this on another thread:

We just disembarked from the Double Dip Halloween cruise and I have some news. This is straight from the Shutters staff who I talked to on Friday PM - Photopass will be available within two weeks. It will be for the onboard photos only, beach photos will have to wait - they are trying out some facial recognition software in the future for this.
Hopefully someone can give a fuller report on this in the next two weeks or so.

It's been cool fall weather here! I poured rain last night, and Halloween was in the low 50's with lots of wind. Typical Nevada weather!

Well I told you I was going back to work this week! Arrgh! What a week! I got three new students who haven't been in school at all and we are nearly 1/2 the way through our school year! Yikes!

How is your class going?

Ok here is the kicker...we have never been to DL or WDW ...I know unheard of...lol... but DH and the DS's really never have wanted to go. So I haven't pushed the issue yet...

My class is FINALLY done - now almost 2 months off woooohooooo

So it has been a crazy two months - we just moved to a new state - that was EXHAUSTING. My house is just piles of stuff and boxes but at least the move is done!

Wow..I hate moving and we never moved more than ten miles away for any move. I couldn't even imagine a move with some distance. Hope you actually unpack all your boxes...lol...we moved almost 3 years ago and still have unpacked boxes in the basement...

So its snowing here to day and I can say I actually enjoy it.........so do the kids....this is a pic from last year...but they are outside today trying to snowboard in half the snow...LMAO....

Oh the snow looks so pretty. I won't be seeing snow again unless I travel for it or enjoy the fake snow on main street But thats okay, I was over the whole "black ice" thing!

We had the same unpacked boxes from our previous move - DH was like "why are we moving these again if we never even unpacked them"

I'm busy with stupid school. I hate school! It eats in to all my TV and DIS time!

One thing that does stink about AZ (and my "stink" list is short!) is that Thanksgiving and Christmas sneak up on you. It is really hard to believe Thanksgiving is next Thursday when it's 91 degrees here!

Who does "Black Friday"?

A couple of years ago, my sister and I started doing Black Friday. We decided that this year, we will not get up as early. We tried that last year and the crowds were so crazy and we didn't get any of the things we went for. At one store, we were caught up in this nightmare, women were shoving each other and I started to have a panic attack. So, we'll be out shopping for a girls day with Daelyn (my DD)!

We are going to do something different this year on BF - going to go resort hopping at Disney to take pics of all the decorations. Then probably do the downtown Disney thing. We are totally having a non traditional Thanksgiving. going to do breakfast (brunch) at Animal Kingdom then wander around. Its kind of a weird year since we just moved.

Got quite a bit of unpacking done yesterday.....

Weird sounds wonderful to me...I've been trying to plan an untraditional x-mas for years, but the kids have vetoed it over and over. They love seeing all the cousins, aunts, uncles ...etc, that the hoildays bring. I would love to go somewhere warm and with a drink in my hand and the sand in between my toes....

...congrats on the unpacking i know how overwhelming it can be...
